- Buying a house can be difficult. If you are thinking about California and are wondering where the cheapest places to live in California are, then this video is for you.
Nobody wants a huge mortgage but in most of California, that is what you are going to get.
In this video we go over 8 of the cheapest places to live in California from Northern California to Southern California and everything in between.
Also some great things to do in each City. There are hot air balloons, strawberries, race cars, yo-yos and so much more...

The Strawberry festival is so fun! so happy it is coming back after a few years off due to the pandemic. May 20 & 21st
A good video with useful information.
Thank you.
Thank you
The Central Valley is the name of a region and not the name of the valley. There are 3 valleys that make up the Central Valley region. The Sacramento Valley in the north, the San Joaquin Valley in the middle, and the Kern Valley in the south. Chico is in the Sacramento Valley, Clovis is in the San Joaquin Valley, and Bakersfield is in the Kern Valley.
Fontana try 600-700 thousand
Great video. Very well done. Thanks for taking the time to put it together :)
Glad you enjoyed it!
I'm not sure anything in southern California would be considered reasonable, but if you have the income it could be great. Kristin was spot on mentioning Chico and Eureka, but also Redding is fantastic, Relatively small with the Sacramento River running through it...mountains, rivers and lakes surround this area as well as 5 star hiking, hunting and fishing. The numerous small rural towns along Highway 49 are excellent values. We live a bit off Hwy.49 in Pine Grove, population 2,000, but all of these little towns offer good schools, and most of the conveniences of urban areas with the option of being in large cities like Sacramento within an hour.
Thanks dennis. Love your addition to my list😍
The cheapest place to live is the Treehouse
😂
And now for a reality check...
BAKERSFIELD: Overall Crime Grade: F (Bakersfield is rated #4 in a list of California's most dangerous cities)
CLOVIS: Overall Crime Grade: C+ (but Clovis is next-door neighbor to Fresno which sits at the #5 position of California's most dangerous cities)
EUREKA: Overall Crime Grade: D+ (watch the documentary called Murder Mountain)
FONTANA: Overall Crime Grade: B- (probably the best city on this list)
OXNARD: Overall Crime Grade: C (but has a growing gang problem)
REDLANDS: Overall Crime Grade: F (gang city)
VACAVILLE: Overall Crime Grade: D- ('nuff said)
Vac-a-vill, try it, please?😉
I know I know 😂
ON THE STREET IN A TENT!
Redlands is not cheap…There no house under $350k. Condos maybe
Nope I live in Redlands Condos are $400K or above

Thanks!😊
Back in July of 1990 my one bedroom apartment in Newark across from I-880 in Fremont was $900.
Now i see hundreds of cars with California license plates in the Midwest.

"I'm melting, I'm melting! What a world!" 💦🧹
I couldn't take it anymore! 😭
I love how Lancaster(Quartz Hill) and Palmdale get left off the many affordable Real Estate lists. Keep the secret, a secret 🤫
Child, please.
Anyone want to buy
a large block of
Sacramento land?
So you don’t live in ca
Văcaville…
the music is tooooo loud !!!
Most of the towns/cities you have characterized are no where near what you describe. One critical point you cleverly skipped over CRIME RATE.
Vaw kaw vill Vaca as in cow. ville as in village.
Humbolt is very cold, very wet and very foggy.
Principle income, which you did not add into your figure, is growing dope/marijuana.
The town lives on it. No dope, no Eureka.
The fishing industry has tanked, the logging industry has tanked.
Redlands... crime rate very high thanks to San Bernardino.
Hot as hell.
House for $350 K dream on.
Go to Yucaipa.
Bakersfield, the stinkhole that gave us Kevin McCarthy. Move it to Texas, in a bag.
Why???who’d WANT TO??
Cali is just beautiful. As well are many other parts of the US.
Well said!! Thank you Kristin for this video, I'm looking to move back to Cali, and have been considering Oxnard as I'd like to live somewhere with a good proximity to the beach. I know that this can be expensive, which I why I appreciate the info you've provided. Thx again.@@kristinlarealtor
@@jahlovely No true Californian calls the state CALI.. that's for the millennials and tourists and wanna live theres.
@@jeffhildreth9244 if you where born before 1980 you can’t call California “Cali”?
@@Malibukenn Calling California "cali" is like calling San Francisco "frisco", classless and insulting.
Bakersfield is rough. Don’t do it!
