Hello Eleanor. It was In the late 70s when I first got involved with tic beans. I think it was something of a new break crop in those days. They would grow up to 7 feet tall and could be a real pain to combine. Although they were tall, they only produced 4 pods on each stem. Once the plant breeders got to work on them, they only grew to around 4 feet, but had more pods on each stem. Also very noisy in the grain handling systems , when they rattled down steel pipes. The beans you showed us were more like a miniature broad bean, so I guess there are some different varieties around nowadays. Can you imagine what it was like before cabs?
Great video again .Sorry you're mum got abuse from some awfull rude man just no need for that sort of thing when you're just trying to get your work done keep smiling and yes we do appreciate the long hours you put in at harvest time 😀👍
Fabulous video again Eleanor Great to see Lucy getting into the maintenance side too, not just driving tractors You are all a great well greased machine So sorry to hear your mum had to face such abuse when clearly trying to keep people safe Some people just shouldn't be allowed on the road, if they're that way out Stay safe all, take care Geoff
Hi Ellie, as i commented before, there are folks who think that the UK road network was built Exclusively for their personal use. When these "karens" start ranting, they need to remember how food gets to their table... It wasn't by a magic wand lol. Oh yeh, tractors, combines, trucks and delivery vans so inconvenient they might have to use the road network. Hope mum's ok. When it's all going off... Remember...10 degree rule????? Tilt your head 10 degrees let It fly over the top 😂🤣🤣😂 Great vids,🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜 Take care MARK
Good job u have cabs on combine Imagine if you go back years when you didn't have cabs.Itchy itchy dusty Why people can't be patient and wait for combine I just don't know wish they show a bit more Respect very well. I suppose that you can lower this mortgage role underneath. And I lowered that role away.😮
Whoever prompted your comments from 4:06 onwards needs to get a life. Is that coming out of the centre of Newbury at 5:39? 🧐 I can't think of too many places I'd LESS like to attempt to take a Combine/Tractor than Newbury - whether it's town OR the ring road!
Nice video.
A bend and a wiggle = a flex.
Another great video keep up with the great videos please 🦌🦌👍👍👍

We used to big square bale bean straw chop it and feed it in with sillage maze turnips and molasses on a large dairey farm 30 odd years ago
