Hi Ellie, everything a farm creates is needed food, feed, bedding, sales to farms that haven't . What folks don't realise is... as I have said, farming is NOT 9 to 5. Takes a lot of effort dedication to get the job done. Time and tide wsit for no man. Thats farming. Good work Eleanor. It's amazing how much you can do with the right equipment I guess the straw stays mainly dry in those large stacks. In that barn, what were bales on the extreme left? Looked very floppy a d the colour of hay. I tried to work out where you were on the road. The roundabout looked as if you were joining the A34, but I'm guessing, I'm afraid. Do you know what a day off feels like?

I would love to been a farmer,or worked on a farm as I always admired you all the nearest i got to farming was driving a lorry either delivering or picking up whatever the goods, some of the regular farms I used to go the farmer used to say there’s some veg over there take some if you want, then going a few times a week it was still some veg over there so I told them ok if I take some I’ll give it to the elderly I know so I ended with a few potatoes bags of vegetables for my elderly people I offered to pay something but they said no it won’t get wasted so It was a big THANK YOU to the farming community. I love watching your channel it fetch’s back a lot of memories from the 70- 80 era. Clarksons farm has nothing on you and your family, love to you all keep safe.

As a lifetime livestock, fruit, vegetable and arable farmer some people think that you have so much money and can afford to lose some to them. Some folk have no understanding of the worry, work and risks that you undertake to put food on their plate, but then to steal from charitable work there is no excusing them from one of the lowest forms of stealing. Hold your head high, you are a wonderful young lady who offers so much towards the understanding of the farming industry and proves that women are at least equal in the work force and can excel in charitable work, well done Ellie.

Everyone who on the land , are having these problems with heavy equipment on saturated land. Even in the summer there were problems. The next big test will be the Maze crop . Brilliant video as usual Eleanor. 👍👍

You will never stop people stealing but it’s how big the problem is and if it affects the overall viability. You could put a sign in the car park to say no bags but then you have to buy baskets. You could put some pictures up and a pricing scheme. Someone with a couple of cobs out of their pockets and a couple of pumpkins - x amount. Someone with a bag - more, someone overloaded even more. Expected amounts in the first 2. If everyone carrying a bag, rucksack gets charged more, they’ll either leave them or load up. If the pricing is roughly comparable, it might encourage people to spend more. The weighing people as a family and again as they come on and off and just paying for the extra weight does seem the ideal solution. It all comes down to cost versus reward. I can see people who would never dream of stealing from a shop somehow think it’s ok and a bit exciting.

Poor you. I'm afraid it's what some people do! The same ones probably shoplift as well. It's their way of life! They don't care how much time and money you've put into growing these items. And they don't really care either. What can you do about it? Difficult to know, apart from your idea of picking the sweetcorn yourself. But then it's not fresh and it takes time. Did you have this problem last year?

What a shame just not on as you put time and effort into the pumpkin patch. 😢.

It's no excuse but stealing is becoming part of modern life im afraid, regarding bag searching that opens a can of worms on the legal side, my advice would be to have a walk round the field making your presence felt, if you have the time. On the plus side I've just subscribed Eleanor.
