I have watced so many paper piecing videos and this is the only one that I understand. Must be your delivery and humor.....to me it is my kind of humor and I can connect. Now need to give it a try again. Thank you for a "I can do it " moment.

I LOVE THIS!!! You are so wonderfully normal and quirky. And don't tell anyone, but my 20-yr. old son leaned in to watch your video, and he hates quilting videos or just about anything quilty that mom likes.

This is the most entertaining quilting show I have ever seen. Before this, those words were never used together. I want to try it myself, and I am not a quilter, so that is saying a lot. Thanks for a great show!

Hey Angela! I just wondered if you ever get any sleep? I sure hope not because I'm addicted to your Midnight Quilt Show! Selfish me, please pick me for that delicious fabric bundle so I can copycat your paper pieced stars! I just bought a Bernina longarm and I really need a lot of practice. I'm going to drink down a large pour of zin blend and see what magic happens!! I know, magic!! 🍷❤✂️

I will be trying as soon as I finish a small quilt to practice on......exciting!!

I've been watching tutorials on paper piecing for a few days and they just haven't clicked until this one. I really enjoy your videos. I have to say as a retired librarian my ears perked up when you mentioned that you listen to audio books. But when you wondered if Claire makes it back to Jaime I was super stoked because Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series is one of my absolute favorites. This, of course, tells me you have great taste in literature as well as beautiful quilts

I LOVE paper piecing! And this video is super fun to watch. I like it even more since it was published on the birthday! (Kinda takes the sting outta turning 40 years old a bit.) Here's my tip: I very lightly mist the paper with water (then wait a couple of seconds) so the paper peels off much smoother and easier, and with fewer paper bits left in the cross-seams. I'm off to download this pattern! Thanks so much!

Never knew what paper piecing was. Thank you for such an instructional video. You made it look easy, although I'm sure it's not that easy for a beginner like me. Also, would love to see you do an instructional video on free motion quilting. I have tried it a couple of times on some scrap quilt sandwiches, and while the top looks fine, the back is full of thread "nests". Any suggestions? Also, I too, worried that you would bur yourself on the iron! Thanks for your videos. I really enjoy them.

  • @mattiestaubin

I love this, I might have to try it, it doesn't look like a very complicated pattern. I never see scraps as waste. My grandma taught me to make scrap quilts with every tiny bit. I sew them onto a 6"x9" block made of muslin or a drier sheet. I have a very large quilt that I made from my scraps and it's fun to be able to look back at all the fabric I've ever used.

looove your outlander reference! the way to cheat paper piecing is to not see all your seams through thee paper. makes removing it so much faster! just sew through it as much as you need to keep things stable. also, you can take all of the paper off of the block next to the feed dogs, you can still use the line of the one on top! Love u Angela!
