Hi Phillip, WOW! You are an excellent teacher! Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge and doing so in such a straight forward and easy to follow manner. I appreciate your calm, non-pushy approach to suggesting tools. You are easy to listen to and I will be watching all your videos as I am starting out my journey with Ai , POD and patterns. Thanks again for all your wisdom. Take care! 💞
Hi Philip I dont know what to say in this comment that I haven't already said. but just...... Wow! thanks. You really know what we need as a tutorial. straight, informative, and to the point!
thank you SO much for this. I am so glad I came across your channel. You are taking me to a new level! I've done POD using my own graphic designs (SVGs,etc) but haven't used MJ yet. The printify tips are priceless. I'm scheduling time next week to get into that. btw, you can use patterns to make fabric too, I dont know if printify covers that, but there are PODs that do offer fabric printing by the bolt or simple square yards. Thank you again. Your work is appreciated
Brilliant...Thank you! Please write a guide on this. While yes the mid-journey has the user guides it doesn't explain how to tie it all together like you have.
Hello sir, thank you for this useful video. you explained it very well. I have a question to ask you. Should we need to vectorise the ai image before upscaling for print on demand?
Love the video Philip. Still trying to nail down what to sell but am leaning toward posters/wall art but just digital downloads instead of POD to start with. I am confused on the aspect ratios pixel numbers and what I need to do to get image that my customer can use for whatever purpose they want once printed. Do I need to include something in my Etsy ad that I can give them a custom size if they need?
Appreciate Philip it was really helpful. Followup question, how do you use the print pattern created by printify on mockups via canva. Is there a way to download the pattern created by printify and then use that on mockups...as you know printify mockups are improving but not good enough to sell...
I was trying this for a while, but a lot of the patterns come out kinda funky, with wierd results. Back to manually drawing seamless patterns. Still loved my experience with midjourney though.
Thanks for another informative video! Regarding AI and tile or pattern images, have you tried Kittl’s AI specifically for pattern creation? It’s one of the preset styles available. I’m asking because I tried creating some patterns there, but the results were absolutely *not* seamless. I know other POD YT creators have been raving about the Kittl AI pattern feature for use in all-over printing, so either they didn’t really test the results, or (more likely) I’m doing something wrong. Since you’ve done great Kittl videos, I just wondered if you’d address this aspect of the Kittl AI feature in a video? Thanks!
Hello! I haven't tried the pattern feature yet no. But I haven't been getting very good results with Kittl Ai, hence why I haven't been making many videos about it. Maybe I am just doing something wrong as well, but I suspect their Ai is just kind of behind atm
More likely they didn't actually test it or Kittle paid them too well. I've not been impressed by any of Kittl's AI features EXCEPT the ability to create vectors.
Love your videos Philip. I've watched almost all your POD ones and was wondering if you're planning to do more on how to use Midjourney prompts specifically for shirt designs. So far most of the images that I'm getting are unusable especially if the design is complex or has multi subjects. The AI for some reason keeps messing things up 😅
Hi thank you!! I have made a couple of tshirt design related Midjourney tutorials. Did you see those? If you're getting funky results maybe try changing between version 4 & 5. Sometimes one gets better results than the other
After recording this video I discovered a way to turn these into vectors for free with vectorizer.ai/ - That would be ideal for digital downloads as well
Hello Philip, I just wanna ask what’s the next step after you made your pattern designs? What files should I include in my etsy shop so the buyer can get what he/she paid for? Thanks in advance
@@VON_SE7VENTH alright yeah this tutorial is about selling physical products with patterns on them. I have a separate midjourney digital download tutorial. You could adapt the methods shown in that tutorial to patterns as well
Good question! I don't market my shirts so I'm not an expert. But in my last Podcast episode I spoke with Shimmy Morris who gave some amazing Print on Demand Marketing advice. That will help you out😉
Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I think that varies based on a few things, how many initial/main image generations you do, how many of those you upscale or redo/reroll and a couple other things. I've been on 10.00 for a few months BUT always buy more time. I have generated 2,280 images with just over 38hrs of time. Again, I always buy more time , usually 4 more monthly. To be transparent, I've spent approximately 80 or so dollars, and have made just over 250 in the past 2months on one site with the work, not factoring in my own time for modifications,etc..
Hello Philip, thanks for video. Etsy ok, but why do you never talk about the possibility of selling all these on ebay? I mean eBay Print on Demand or eBay Digital.
Every inch must be multiplied by 300 so if you have 13x13 then you multiply 13x300= 3900 so if you make a pixel based size you will always have the correct DPI …on Canva if you use inches you then would have to manually move the bar on the right, right before you down load you move it to the right pixels. That will work with all DPI. if you use 400 DPI, again, you take each inch and multiply with 400😊
There are many YT videos about selling POD through companies like Printful, Printify, but NO ONE ever talks about the involvement of dealing with custom services. Could you shed some light on this? For instance, do you have to handle in person when there are return requests from the customers after receiving their orders? Where does the return go? Does it go to your home? Who is paying for the return shipping? What if you and the customer are not even in the same country? Anyway, after watching so many Printful/Printify videos, I have absolutely ZERO clue how the customer services are handled and by WHOM because no one has talked about it. (If you happen to know a video like that, please let me know, thanks!)
theres a return policy on printful, you can create your own or use theirs. I chose theirs. basically the buyer has to send back the item in good condition for their money and/or new item.
No you will have to purchase a higher subscription. The $10 sub is good if you want to try things out though. ( It doesn't give you unlimited relaxed mode)
I’m tired of y’all lying! Stop clickbaiting people. I made one sale on Etsy nothing but fake favorites and I don’t even know how tf I’m go ship it because printful is confusing. Y’all need to start being honest or GO LIVE SHOWING EVERYTHING YOU DO.. or else you selling lies
Hi Ice, I think that all that is possible is overwhelming. Even though I am an experienced web/graphic designer, and can really travel the ecommerce internet pretty well, even my head spins with what is going on. Can you share your etsy store url (privately if you prefer) (What is your niche, what are you trying to sell and to who)
@@PickleAllergy And then I’ve built other brands with big followings, demonetization becomes the issue but still have to feed the audience or I lose reach…smh..bro this internet shit is fake
@@iceprada2 I disagree that the the internet s*** is fake. Evidently if you were providing what your audience likes to be fed, then you need to change course.
My biggest issue with POD is that the only realistic way to generate sales is to allow yourself a small profit per sale. But I guess that’s fair, after all the POD companies do pretty much all the work - and who would want to spend £20/30 pounds on a product these days when there are people who run their own businesses from home and sell the same products for MUCH cheaper? There is a trick with POD that I’m missing, and I’m starting to think that good marketing and pricing your products low in order to generate high sales volume is the way forward, but the thought of awarding yourself such a low profit margin and going through tons of effort to market your store just for a crumb of the cheddar is what puts me off completely
I definitely get your point and it does seem like you can't really make much profit per sale at first glance. And obviously having cheaper pricing if you print your own products makes it easier to get sales. But people will spend more money if you have got unique designs and especially once you have got a few good reviews. Another tip: often times the seemingly cheap products on Etsy are just a form of clickbait. Once you open the listing and go to select a size, 95% of the options/sizes are way more expensive than what shows in search results ;)

Once you upscale the patten is no longer seamless. Any work around?
any answers?
same here, following exact steps and still it's not seamless, PLEASE HELP
Not sure what you're doing differently, I'm not having that issue. Are you maintaining aspect ratio? Maybe try a different upscaler?

Once you have added your Etsy store (top right corner of the Printify dashboard) all the orders will be automated
