These are great shoes, bought them after breaking my foot wearing regular freeriders (pretty worn pair to be fair ... when they are new, they ofer better protection). Great grip, great protection/comfort. But there are some issues to solve: First, the sole started to come out from the sides (this was an easy solution, sent it to a local shoe-repair to reinforce all the sides with stitches) Second (and worst), the pading on the ankles moves (and stays) down, which is kind off annoying because , in my case, I have to be extra carefull when putting the shoes on. In general terms they are the best mtb shoes for flat pedals i have used, I hope they make improvements on the two points I mentioned, that would make them perfect..... well, if you dont mind your biking shoes looking a little clunky hehe
Thanks for taking time to comment. I haven't had the problems you have mentioned but I have heard about the issues you raised which means it they are probably known issues. I do love them but would agree that they are pretty massive looking!
Hi there. I haven't used the Freerider Pros but have had something similar. The main difference I would suspect is the protection. The Impact Pro is really robust, especially around the toes. I guess it depends on what you would prefer. Let me know what you go for 👍
Of course. Most of my videos are just riding. I'll only do 3 or 4 of these type of videos a year. There will be more individual trail vids coming over the next couple weeks. Enjoy 👍
They used to be made with stiched leather and tough. Now its a piece cheap rubber and glue. They dont even last 2 seasons. Adidas really want you to buy a new pair more often.
Hi mate. Yeah, I would say so. My go to size is UK11 and the shoes I bought were 11. The fit is good. I would check other forums and stuff just to make sure others have experienced the same 👍
I'm not really sure. They are certainly great for a big day out on the trail or enduro bike. I'm afraid I haven't done touring before so don't know if you'd want something less heavy duty?
@@streetpigeonmtb Well it wuld be nice to know if you had to pick a bigger size or could go with normal. Whas the normal size for you any bigger at all or no diffrence ?
I would am normally an eleven and I went with size eleven. They seem to be close to a 'normal' fit, I.e not too big or too small. It's almost impossible to say though. I based it off my previous 5/10s. If you can I would always recommend trying a shoe on somewhere. Sizing is tricky at the best of times. That's why I think most people avoid talking about it 👍
Best five tens ever . Great review and really love the background . Awesome 👏
Thanks so much mate. On holiday at the moment so still to view your race day video. Hope it went well 👍
Street Pigeon thank you buddy. It went excellent considering that I am riding 2 years only now 🤘🤘
If was to make the switch to flats, these are the shoes i would go for, great review :)
Thanks mate 👍

Great review mate! I've got the 5/10 shoes with stealth rubber as well and indeed the amount of grip is insane... 😁
Yeah. If you ride flats you can't go wrong with Five Tens 🤙
Love mine❤️❤️.. Very informative, cheers bud!!!.. 👍
Thanks Chris 👍
This is a great review. Thanks.
Thanks Johnathan. Your comment is really appreciated. Thanks for taking time to get in touch 👍
I just ordered five ten free rider size 10.5. I wear size 10 4E width (extra wide). Which ones feel wider! These or the free rider?
Sorry, I dont know. It's been a while since I had my foot in a Freerider so I can't do a comparison. Sorry mate 👍
Good review...but would have been good for you to assess the rigidity or flexibility (as the case may be) of the soles.
Maybe next time 👍
Great review!
Thanks Sam. Appreciate the comment 👍
How do these compare to the Freerider Pros?
Hi there. I haven't used the Freerider Pros but have had something similar. The main difference I would suspect is the protection. The Impact Pro is really robust, especially around the toes. I guess it depends on what you would prefer. Let me know what you go for 👍
Can you do some more natural rides/videos
Of course. Most of my videos are just riding. I'll only do 3 or 4 of these type of videos a year. There will be more individual trail vids coming over the next couple weeks. Enjoy 👍

To be fair, I am now in agreement with you. I have switched to Ride Concepts and they are way better shoes.
Are they true to size?
Hi mate. Yeah, I would say so. My go to size is UK11 and the shoes I bought were 11. The fit is good. I would check other forums and stuff just to make sure others have experienced the same 👍

Skidnation
😂 You are persistent. Haven't filmed the shout out yet. Still getting through old edits.
Considering people spend 350+ on ugly basketball shoes, I have no problem paying full price for these
Like how people review shoes and not talk about the size. It's so comman and so annoying
Sorry. Is there anything I can help you with re: sizing?
