Ovi's one of my favourite all-time players, but boy has he destroyed my Habs over his career. He's had 9 multi-goal games against Montreal including two 4-goal games.
Definitely crosby splitting buffalo's whole team and protecting the puck with one hand and then the strength and accuracy to put it in the perfect spot while still being pressured is remarkable to me shows his skill. Also Datsyuk pulling back the puck and flipping its over the blocker the amount of patience and finesse it takes is remarkable.
The craziest part to me is that he did it several times in his career but nobody else before or since has been able (or even thought) to pull it off. The Michigan has been shared, eventually the Michigan pass will be shared, but I’ll be shocked if I see Datsyuk’s move pulled off successfully again.
gotta go with at least one of datsyuk or mcdavids, it‘s just pure control in every movement. not to take anything away from ovis back slide or zegras‘ alley oop.
