Englishman in France here. Today I was invited to a party on the 11th May to celebrate the end of lockdown? Honestly... these are the people that scare me... the people that think this is already over. As I have said before, there is no point in feeling reassured by being the best driver on the road obeying the speed-limit etc when EVERYONE else on the road is drunk!!! Stay safe folks.. Same problem here in the US, except some of the protesters bring military-style long guns to their gatherings - where of course few people wear masks or practice distancing. The US state of Minnesota has just opened industrial and office work settings .. but virus cases in Minnesota are rising exponentially, and 7 of the past 9 days have seen consecutive records for the most new cases per day. Offices in particular will be virus incubators. I tire of reminding people that you can recover from being broke, but you can't recover from being dead from the virus. I'm on 48 days without any kind of income, and relying on friends to help me stay afloat.

I live in USA in the state of Georgia in the south of the state, close to the Florida border. I had to go grocery shopping on Friday. I'm an RN in the Cathlab. I have been furloughed at my local 373 bed community hospital. With this weekend, and our governor stated we can open up. Well, people in general are not smart, most think, well it's over. I can go and do anything. I was appalled at the number of people out and about. Hardly anyone was wearing masks. The grocery store workers were masked, but the public no.
I keep thinking these people are going to want me to risk my life, when they are sick and show up in our ER. Is it my duty to take care of these people? Really? I have 3 comorbidities and I have a special needs child, and my parents who are medically fragile live with me. Stay home! Please!

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, on the other hand, is a large national US governmental organization with a budget of $11.9 billion, the current Director has a $375,000-a-year salary, according to a 1993 investigation, he had an "inappropriate" relationship with the non-governmental ASAP group (founded by evangelical Christians) that advocated abstinence instead of passing out condoms to prevent AIDS/HIV, one can hardly call him independent, and what about the CDC results as far as control and prevention ? As an Emergency Management expert with years of experience in humanitarian emergencies I have been delivering pre-deployment training to some orgs basically agreeing with everything that Dr John has just published and advising that they prepare for new travel protocols which will probably include multiple testing en route, especially via airport hubs, carrying plenty of clinical masks, face coverings wont do for more stringent requirements, and also wear disposable gloves that are changed regularly. Never forgetting the constant hand washing etc.
My biggest fear, echoing what Dr John has just said, is that many people are already becoming tired of the lockdowns and 2nd/3rd/4th waves when they come will be much worse than now.
For various reasons but these are just a few:
    1. Key world leaders not believing what they are seeing happening - the tsunami effect as I call it
    2. Lack of planning - government procurement departments have been shown to be lacking in the expertise of emergency management procurement processes. Different rules of the game
    3. Economy - already hearing here in Iraq that people will die anyway if they cant earn money so they are literally throwing caution to the wind.
    4. Mental exhaustion - lack of understanding that these lockdown measures are not, or should not, go away for months if not the rest of 2020 and into 2021.
    And so on.
Anyway, that's my tuppence worth. Stay safe and stay healthy!

I had to check my country was not on the list. Breathing a sigh of temporary relief.

I came home from Seoul, South Korea after watching Dr Campbell on Jan 31st. We flew home (Alabama, US) on Feb 2nd. We fully masked up & sanitized everything. I've been a nurse for 13 years & something in Dr. Campbell's voice told me that this was far more serious than we had already heard. We had received several emergency alerts from the SK government the week before we left. We came home and self isolated for 2 weeks before the states ever locked down. Furthermore, SK had already started contact tracing, mass disinfecting and warning systems about your location. They were ahead of it from the beginning and it shows. I felt I had to get home to help in anyway I could nursing wise. Which is what I've done. I got sick the 2nd week of March and was tested for Covid19. It was positive. They ultimately decided I contracted from the hospital I work in and not my travels. I was lucky and had a mild case compared to most. High fever, respiratory issues & just feeling awful. I was watched for 48 hrs until it eased and then sent home for 2 and a half weeks and then retested in which it was negative. Thank you Dr. John, my colleagues, my family & myself watch you every day.

Unfortunately, even other ppl, including some other medical ppl who aren't in the front lines or don't know ppl who died, think this has all been fabricated and are going out without masks. It's beyond disturbing. I warned ppl months ago and they didn't listen. Now I warn again that we will have a huge spike then will have to start from scratch with stay at home. We weren't ready to lift restrictions so now we'll pay the price. Praying to God I'm wrong.

There will never be a vaccine before herd immunity is achieved, if one is even possible for the coronavirus. A few advantages that the poorer nations of the world have are:
    1. Their median age is much lower than the West (e.g. Chad's is 17.8 while Italy's is 45.5). A herd immunity approach while still very deadly won't in a relative sense be as catastrophic as in an aging nation.
    2. Poorer countries have a higher percentage of people living in rural areas. Farmers, shepherds, hunters and fishers spend much more time outdoors than city dwellers who are stuck indoors all day. Consequently, they are much less likely to have vitamin D deficiency. This trend is seen in every country around the world. You can Google the difference in vitamin D levels between big cities and smaller towns and you'll find a hundred peer-reviewed articles discussing this.
    3. Whether it's the BCG vaccine or whether it's simply being exposed to so many infectious disease over one's lifetime (tuberculosis, Dengue fever, Chikungunya virus, Ebola, cholera, and so forth) people in the third world tend to have stronger innate immunity. They have higher levels of NK cells than people who have had limited experience dealing with communicable diseases.
    4. Again this is more applicable in the rural than urban areas (and not as much with the upper-middle classes of these countries) but people in poorer nations would have lower levels of oxidative stress within their bodies as well as particular comorbidities that are associated with the 21st century Western lifestyle. Very few countries have obesity levels comparable to the United States (only a handful of islands in the Pacific). Diabetes is common in patches but still not to the same extent as in many Western countries. And the most serious comorbidity based on all of the research so far, hypertension, is not as common in countries where salty junk is eaten every day and leafy green vegetables are avoided.
    5. The rate of spread while still high is not quite as fast in warmer, humid weather as in colder weather. The half-life decreases as it heats up and becomes humid (it still spreads and kills of course like it has in Brazil but the rate of spread is even faster in colder, dry weather).
    6. Societies used to epidemics are more willing to comply with quarantine rules than the West where liberty is seen as a greater virtue than the healthy of the community. The protests you see in Michigan just don't happen in countries where so many people remember similar outbreaks of other diseases.

@Spacecowboy Eson if african coutries don't care about their own people, why should we? It's been the same four centuries... they rathers keep fighting, make war instead of working and improving their life conditions. You just cannot import progress and development, nations have to develop by their own, with their own effort. Africa only rely on western countries aid, waiting for someone else to help them all the time! Nothing has changed. The West keeps giving them money and medicines, and all they do is reproduce more and more! They simply have to start carring for themselves!

Dr. Campbell, you have a huge heart (A healthy one physiologically of course). I would love it if you would be the health minister of the United States and in charge of our coronavirus response. Or in charge of the WHO. You would provide such excellent leadership. As it is, you’re providing it from right where you are. Deep gratitude. 🙏

The Media would tear him apart. He is RIGHT, but our political system in America is using Covid 19 to push a political agenda. It's terrible, but that is the state of hell in America. The progressives will do anything to kill people to win an election. Sad, that there is so much political corruption

Regardless where we’re headed, don’t sell yourself short Dr.Campbell, you’ve managed to foster and waken much of the polarized world into an open-eyed and harmonized union of cognizant followers, from all walks of life-without your help the world would be in far worse shape. Don’t forget that! PEACE!

So...and your point is......? Just because he presents as an older and presumably wise doctor 'type'.... does not mean he isn't selling what he has been selling for 40 plus years...the STATUS QUO>
So why are we Globally getting more ill rather than less over the generations?! Why are more starving rather than less?....
The direction of EXPERTS ...that is why! Think about that.
When you use "modelling" supplied data from Globalist think tanks who are funded by Soros and Gates....
You get Vaccine mania...No matter what the cause or the eventual outcome!

And certain people here in the US are protesting and saying mandatory masks in public spaces is taking away their “freedom”🤦🏼‍♀️ Meanwhile this pandemic rages on and may kill millions of people.
