Democracy is a human rights value,Communism is an economic paradigm,Many people unable to tell the difference, the opposite of communism is capitalism, not democracy. And we have different understandings of democracy. Your understanding of democracy is that everyone chooses the right person according to his intuition. But the reality is that people's intuition is often wrong. Especially in the era of media flooding, people's views are easily misled. Our understanding of democracy is that a person should be good at doing things in his field. For example, as a mayor, if his city has the highest economic growth, the best environmental protection and the lowest unemployment rate in his state, then he should become a governor, just like the operation mechanism of big companies such as Google, apple and Amazon. This kind of automatic optimization mechanism, though not perfect, not people's own subjective consciousness to choose, but it is the interests of everyone to choose automatically. This is democracy. We dont know a person just through his speech, only through one s solid achievements in governance, people can finally know him. I don't think it is any less than the intuitive choice of the West blinded by speeches and news, let alone that most people don't know the right choice. Please remember that the two world wars started in democratic countries by people s chose,I dont see apple or Google chose their CEO by your kind of democracy in any chance

You're starting to make me think you've never lived in China for prolonged periods of time. And if you have, then you have a very misguided understanding of Chinese society, culture, and history.
Over half of all Chinese in the mainland have little to no higher education experience of any kind. Needless to say, people like that do not have any business in running national affairs that have global consequences. In places where there are educated citizens and freedom, you have people like that one local village elder who was able to stash up over a billion USD worth of cash in the walls of his home or the tycoons in Hong Kong that continue to drive up property prices and have created a wealth gap so extreme that it won't recover anytime soon in the foreseeable future.
Even the West understands that the common man cannot be entrusted with his own political wellbeing. That is why national leaders are not directly elected from the common populace but nominated by their parties; that is why not every man can choose to run for office and have an equal chance as the next.

And I don't think it is any less than the intuitive choice of the West blinded by speeches and news, let alone that most people don't know the right choice. Please remember that the two world wars started in democratic countries by people s chose,I dont see apple or Google chose their CEO by your kind of democracy in any chance

We don't know what's going on either. Our government is letting 10's of millions of Americans suffer without any aid for what purpose? The media constantly makes reference to the suffering but makes no attempt to help connect pieces that would help real positive change. Instead it is mostly sensationalist garbage designed to get clicks and not much else. My point here is we're brainwashing ourselves on accident.
Honestly I thought I 'knew' Mao was a bad leader, but now I realize that opinion was formed mostly by negative innuendo. I haven't done enough research to form a real opinion on him yet, but we'll see.
Other countries are helping their people, we laid off so many and told the rest to risk their lives or end up on the streets like the other fired workers. How are we not rioting over this?
China locked down and had a special group of people bring food to individuals. Vietnam is able to act rationally to a pandemic, but we opened up bars and restaurants because 'the economy'?
Whatever bad things we perceive the CCP to do, we do ourselves a disservice to also hold their citizens responsible. They are our brothers and sisters in humanity, and honestly it's beginning to look like their actions are much more rational than ours, and a lot of the negative stereotypes we have on China is mostly pro-military industrial complex propaganda.

There are a lot of faults in the west but compared to a country like China the US is just better when it comes to this. Mao caused a genocide that killed more than Hitler and Stalin combined but he is still somehow respected in China. I started looking up youtube travelers going through Xinjiang and the Uyghurs they run into seem to be doing much better off than I did living in the projects.
I really don't trust most of what American media says anymore outside of very basic objective things like weather and accidents.
I'm a disabled veteran, participated in OWS, was a delegate to the '16 NV state caucus, and every time media reports on things I've been involved with it doesn't match what I experienced. I wonder what else they lie about.

While I am no supporter of militarised occupation of unowned land, the San Francisco Treaty, was held to distribute assets owned by the Japanese post WW2 that didn't belong to the Japanese originally, including the South China Sea. Thing is, China was NOT even invited to the treaty, Taiwan was, since the KMT(Taiwan's government) was the ruling government in China during WW2 that escaped to Taiwan in 1949. Meaning, China's share of the pie was taken without China even having a say in any of it (Note that all the horrendous events that took place before 1949 ie. ChangSha were acts of the KMT)
Anyone with even a brief knowledge of WW2 should acknowledge that China should have been invited, given that it suffered massively from the Japanese invasion
And while I don't support China for it's actions in the South China Sea, I do understand why it acts the way it does. I don't support the US sending dozens of spy drones near China's border and the South China Sea either

This video being 9 years old and I view it only now, my understanding of the view of China and citizens of China is not significantly inaccurate
As statement, how can another person judge another person based on different government.
I often feel an amount of dispair when the amount of criticism and racial hatred is directed at these individuals. It does not matter what nation a person lives in as long as there is a form of leadership there will always be an opposition to that leadership and attempts to gain that leadership.
No matter what nation I live in I will as an individual have like and dislike about living in the nation, I might look to another nation and think it is better but if I actually went there to live I might find the dislikes I did not see before hand.
What would make China stand out above all other nations would be if China can become completely self sufficient have a tax model that is fair and a healthcare system that can be accessed by any at the expense of the government similar to other nations.
What would also make China stand out is if they could provide a welfare benefits system for the poor but with a bit better distribution, a retirement fund or some other types of end life comforts to look forward to would also make China stand out.
the truth is I do not know enough about China to even decide if they have free medical or welfare benefits.

You may recall that millions of Chinese starved to death under the "Great Leap Forward" as the communists took over China and forced their Marxist ideology on the country. Adolph Hitler brought great economic benefit to his country as he stabilized the currency, geared up for war and sought to establish a "Thousand Year Reich." Everybody in the world with a little intellectual honesty should recognize China is a great country, who managed to get out from poverty and become the first economy in the world keeping a peculiar socialist model. Cos yes, China IS a socialist country.
Deng Xiaoping knew that to build communism, you have to pass from an agricultural system to an industrial one.He had to create an industrial revolution. Of course, during the European idustrial revolution workers used to work in terrible conditions, and they had to make great sacrifice. But working in a ìn idustry, even in terrible conditions, is much better than dying in the countryside. This is the reason why peasants went to work in the mines in England and in the industries in China. In a few words:capitalism sucks, but it sucks less than feudalism. This is, again, what Karl Marx says.
Deng's reforms caused pain and Chinese people had to make great sacrifices, but with their sacrifice the situation has gotten better and better. The salaries are constantly increasing and so are labour rights, as the several strikes and the empowerment of the trade unions proves. Think that many companies are leaving China to settle in places with less labour rights, such as Cambodia.Welfare reforms since the late 1990s have included unemployment insurance, medical insurance, workers’ compensation insurance, maternity benefits, communal pension funds, individual pension accounts, universal health care, and a carbon tax.In addition, the public sector is still very important in China: energy and bank sectors are entirely public, while the State helds important parts of private companies, such as Lenovo.
The CPC has done what Mark said:use capitalism to lead it to its natural evolution:communism. This is socialism:
Many mistakes have been done, of course, but the path is right. It's time for us to understand it.

several Chinese companies are now bringing manufacturing back to areas of the United States, and providing much needed jobs, I hope they continue on that path...our economy in America is declining and China's is continuing to rise...not every American hates China

Those companies are mostly SOE's (state owned), also. The CPC is literally giving Americans jobs.

We have Communism in Kerala too but if i'm not mistaken there are two variants, CPI and CPI (M), latter being Communist Party of India (Marxist). They do more for regular people whereas other parties are all for rich people. Balance is always good.

American values of freedom is great and should be spread through out the world . Buttttt we trade with Slave Owners !!!! You can’t expect a slave to turn on their owners but we shouldn’t enrich those who do not value their citizens freedom ! How long can humans continue to allow slavery ? How long will humans except being slaves ?
