No, it’ll drain you’re battery. My pops had his (mine) yellow wire connected with red so it’ll play while the ignition is turned off, run your wires correctly and everything should be off.
@@tyewilson9035 my guess is that the radio doesnt have the software to read the disc or CD. I have the dual 7in single din radio and I am able to watch movies on the radio.
observation: asking nicely about the "trim ring". It looks like you left it off guessing due to clearance for the flipping up striking. We are building 100% custom on a lower console but hate the head unit being out exposed. The Walmart trim kits are not designed for flip up - -unless I missed the version for flip out.
@@MatrixBluejay appreciated. I have begun a mock up console and powered the head unit up a few times. I'm learning the motorized style is kinda undesireable already. The motor flip up thing is considered old and not cool already.
It has been out awhile, honestly the radio isn’t terrible but I’d highly recommend going for something newer. That puts out better sound. I no longer have this vehicle, in my Tahoe I have a Sony Double din with Apple play and in my BMW I have the stock system with all the components and amps upgraded.
My touchscreen is not moving or working but it comes on and functions just fine but the screen does not want to function how it needs to function when you touch it. I install and do custom installs all I did was took it out the box a couple times to test fit a couple things in this custom project now the screen doesn't want to work like it supposed too.

The major CON of this system is there's no display when the screen is closed on the control face even with the radio on tested at Wal-Mart display. Trying to have mine (xdvd179bt) install for my 2012 RAM and i come back for future comments about this system.
Worked great till face plate wouldn’t click in right very disappointed in the quality only bought this cuz this is what they had at oriellys not worth the money

I try to put this stereo in my truck but it turns on and off and the screen won’t work and the screen moves up and down what can that cause that
Yoitzsanti Vlogz Have you tried resetting? If all the wiring is correct then you got a bad unit. Make sure your 12v and your ground are good!

Big Diddy yeah, that’s all you need to do it attach to the ground wiring. Super easy to do. Has worked perfect ever since

This vehicle single dins actually fit very well, almost like they are meant to be there. There is a kit for it obviously but i did take the ring off.

Trying resetting it from the back of the unit. It worked for me when that happened
Even if you disconnected from the car and rewire it back in there it's still freezes,
So if I hit the reset button it will fix it
