I learned my lesson a few years ago with buying Disney DVDs on eBay. At first glance I thought they were authentic but when I opened it you could tell it was fake by the screen printing on the actual DVDs as it looked like they printed the dvd image on regular printer paper and taped it on the DVD. Also had no movie rewards paper in any of the cases and the movies looked bootleg and bad quality when you viewed them
Well does the movie play? Is it the same movie. I don't care if it's a fake case and all. I'm just trying to find the Disney movies for my autistic five year old since we lost all of them when our computer crashed. We had the computer hooked up to the TV and we had hundreds of movies on there. All original Disney cartoon movie classics like 101 dalmatians, Cinderella, dumbo, lady and the tramp etc...our son loved those. I don't care if it's a fake case or whatever. I just want a copy of some of those movies somehow with having to rent them on TV every day. I saw someone had 24 Disney movies on eBay for $24. I was thinking that's too good to be true. Is it crappy copies? Is it blurry. Is it a foreign language. Is it difficult movies claiming to be copies of the original ones? So what's wrong with the actual movie viewing. I'd like to know. Thanks
$100 says there's a misspelled word on that bootleg cover. Look closely. Bootleg covers are notorious for misspelling. Also, everyone knows shrinkwrapped over slipcover new DVD's and Blu-ray's are instant fakes. Furthermore, new Disney movies ALWAYS include paperwork. No paperwork? It's a fake period. But the most easiest way to determine if that movie you're interested in buying is a fake is the price. Remember the rule, if the price is too good to be true, then it most certainly is. And lastly, you get what you pay for. Pay cheap, get cheap. And lastly, ALWAYS go through sellers feedback paying attention to any and all negative and even neutral comments. Oh and if you find a seller with an unlimited amount of hard to find, out of print, or rare DVD's and or Blu-ray's for a cheap price, then it would be 100% safe to assume they are fakes. Play it safe by checking retail prices from your local major retail store before you buy online for cheaper. Need to report piracy or a seller who sold you a counterfeit? Try www.mpaa.org or www.ic3.gov
I am so sad right now. A few weeks ago, I started buying Disney DVDs and Blu-ray. I bought The Snow White and the seven dwarves platinum edition. Mine has a slipcover on it. At first that didn’t make much sense to me because Disney did not release that particular edition with a slipcover. I didn’t give it much thought at first, but I have received a couple more that I started to get suspicious of. I believe my Pocahontas one is fake, and my little mermaid one is fake. I know that my little mermaid one it’s fake because I’ve seen the real one. I’ve seen the real platinum addition to that I remember it from when it came out, and the front of it is not as embossed on the slip cover as the actual real one was. The real one looked really nice, but the one I got the slip cover is not really and Baust. The letters look kind of flat. Also my Snow White, Pocahontas, and the little mermaid don’t come with their paper stuff. I also bought beauty and the beast diamond edition on eBay, but I know that is real because it comes with everything. The slip cover the papers, and it has clips so that you can put the papers in the case. That makes me so sad. Kind of annoyed really.
Ebay and Amazon will refund your money because by law they can't allow the sale of counterfeit goods! So don't be sad, Get your money back and try again thats what I did! Then give the fake ones to some kids there going to play them until they brake anyway and there useless for collectors so at least someone will enjoy them with out wasting the resources used to make them lol Also if they ask you to mail them back tell them that now you confirmed there fake its illegal for you to ship counterfeit goods as thats counterfeiting and mail fraud and they cant ask you to brake the law! FYI if its discovered you mailed the item back you can get up to 5 years in jail so don't risk it stick to your guns on the laws and demand your money back!
I got refunded for one of them, but I think I am going to have to talk to eBay again because I think they want me to send them back. I won’t send them back. I’m not about to take that risk.
@@funthingswithmoni3967 you should throw the fake DVDs into the garbage, which is what I did with my fake DVDs of Ed Edd n eddy & drake and josh, the Ed Edd n eddy dvd set wasn’t good quality, so I threw it away knowing I kept it for a few years and it was a complete waste of 60 or 70 dollars.
Rule Of Thumb: DON'T buy new out-of-print Disney titles unless they're super-expensive!
