Great song , he is singing this at a concert. He has many good songs. I like more hearing on the record. This is a classic. Everybody can relate to going home and missing everybody. John Denver is so good, Listen to Rocky mountain High it is very good.

Love seeing young people watching this fantastic story!!!

  • @johnthegreek5836

This song definitely has become a classic, John Denver wasn’t really considered a Country singer more a folk singer who was a great singer songwriter, he definitely died too young, RIP…. It does remind you of Sweet Home Alabama

  • @george217

Chosen by the State of West Virginia as it's official state song years after it came out.

  • @roberormonde

I can't wait till the whole world's peacful

  • @henners88

Very popular song in Britain too, sung on New Year’s Eve at just about every party. Classic, he died far too young.

  • @ElizasGrammy

I miss him so much. 😪

  • @spacefanatic

John Denver was a fantastic singer and song writer. He sounded just as good live as he did on the studio versions. As a change of pace try his 'For You' live version. It is stupendous.

John Denver is my most favorite artist! Wrote many great songs and sung great ones too! 3 other famous ones to consider are "Rocky Mountain High," "Annie's Song," and "Leaving on a Jet Plane" (but Peter, Paul, and Mary took the song to #1 and launched John's career)! My favorite songs from John are "Poems, Prayers, and Promises," "Shanghai Breezes," and "Follow Me."

There is a movie,Logan Lucky, that features a little girl singing this song in a school talent show.

    R.I.P. JOHN

  • @willlong8942

Yeah, it's an iconic song of Americana. It's actually the first John Denver song I ever heard. You could have heard the song anywhere, e.g. supermarket, elevator, etc.

  • @george217

You may have seen a commercial promoting tourism for West Virginia.

Went to 2 of his concerts back in the Day. I am going to be 81 this year, so I am saying , get some of his other songs.👍👍👍 Like what you said, Old Country.

  • @michaelchilcott210

    Brilliant Singer Brilliant Song.

  • @jwr3005

This song always makes you feel good, about going home! Great reaction👍🏻 We loved him back in the day, but I think his music is still good today too!😊

  • @freeforever6971

Thanks for the great old song!

  • @zekearo22

A couple more songs that I think you might like to react to is. "Rocky Mountain High" and "Annie's Song" love the reaction.

Great song from I think 1971 or 72. The studio version is much better than this one. This was good but I'm not a huge fan of live performances for the most part. They're great if you're there and experience the whole live thing but original studio versions ( the ones on the albums or singles) are for me, far superior. John Denver was never really classified as country. His music fell more into the folk and folk rock category. Very talented guy who died in a plane crash in the late nineties.
