So I had a cool story regarding Art Atwood. Back in I think 2004-2005 time frame Jason Dhir used to do a show similar to an expo type of event that Art was at. I think he was 5 weeks out from the Europa Pro show signing autographs beside Garret Downing. I was an Army Recruiter at the time and we was graciously given space by Jason Dhir to do community out reach and I had my then 4 year old daughter with me. Long story short she would sneak these tiny cups of water and set them down in front of him when he had his head turned. By the time he noticed she had like 8 of these tiny cups of water sitting to his right, but ran off the moment he turned and smiled at her. He was absolutely the kindest person you could ever met in the throws competition dieting. No ego, happy to see his fans and highly amused by a 4 year old girl making sure he was well hydrated! Rest In Peace Art.

I miss when gyms were only men or predominantly men. It irks me to see all these women these days. Ruins my vibe 😖

Art was soft spoken and a good man. Loved the footage if the old school gym and supplement store. Art opened a results location in Dallas and my good friend from HS worked at his store. Sadly both Art and my friend are now long gone. The good die young. RIP.

How heavy are the plates on the leg press, they look big.

I was wondering about that too. Pretty heavy plates, but Art walks around holding one like it was nothing. Read somewhere that Art had 32" thighs and a 61" chest. He was huge, but equally strong. Those 1000-pound leg presses and close-ups of his massive thighs are just mind-blowing.

God he sounds strange trying to talk about a healthy lifestyle and getting people with the right proteins lol.
Then he said he got his base from playing sports but when he was 15 he went to bodybuilding exclusively. I’m thinking what kind of base did you get if you were only 15 when you decided to do bb.
He still had a thick back and one of the best

He looks like he would of been a unit even without the weights. I don't think the current cocktail of HCg, Hgh, Nandrolone, & Insulin etc. is a good idea at all. Some of these guys have died in their 30's.
Unless you know what's waiting for you on the other side.

Some guys die in their 30s having never touched a drug.
