I think Patrick Ta has the best blush formula on the market. My love of his blushes (and the RMS blushes!) has helped curb my desire to buy every new blush that comes out bc I know that I know that I’m not going to love it as much as the Patrick Ta blushes I already have 😊.
Plus his blushes come in so many shades that he’s got you covered no matter the mood!
You hit it bang on Rebecca!😂 Oh my gosh I literally laughed out loud regarding people complaining about the CT glowy skin tint😂 Thank you❤
Right?!
I think his blush formulas are really unique and when I use them, it reminds me what I love about makeup
I have three of these highlighters and love playing with them
EXACTLY!
you are so diplomatic and a great makeup guide, my go-to for advice and shade matching!!! love 💗 from California !!
What a kind comment, Elizabeth. Thank you so very much.
I love his shadows and blushes! His formula is very easy to use and creates such beautiful looks. I especially love the cream in his shadow palettes!!! I don’t go nuts over his launches but the things I have purchased have been very solid!
SAME! Exactly. And that cream powder combo with his things. Magnificent!
I thoroughly enjoyed this video (as usual). I love how when you do these single brand videos, you talk about the history and background of the brand. I love learning new things. I didn’t know that he also worked at MAC, but you are right- many great MUAs got their start there!
Oof, that balm looked…interesting!😅
You are so good at putting tutorials together that are so interesting and fun!!
I have to say, I am still a little bitter that my Major Dimensions II palette got mold after six months. I found out later that others had the same issue 🫤
You are so kind. What a delight your comments are. Yes, the mold issue...I can't stand behind that. I am glad that supposedly the brand feels a tremendous responsibility, as they should, to stand behind the products and make sure it never happens again. We shall see tho!
I love hearing about the history of artists and brands. Thanks for the overview and chat! I’ve only tried a couple blushes and really like them.
Thank you so very much for being here for it.
Hi lovely Rebecca !! There is a lovely ring to the TaFlap and it can only belong to PT 😊. I really enjoyed hearing the history behind PT. I have yet to try his blushes . 🤗❤️
The blushes are really the entry point, for sure!
Thanks so much for this video. I had used the powder by itself as I was intimidated by the cream. After using the powder, I pressed the cream onto my face with my fingers. It made the blush look amazing! Thanks again!! 😊
Oh wow!!! I bet that looked amazing!!!!!
I do like his aesthetic. One of the things I don't like about his blushes, though, is they fade in the compact after they are opened (not on the face) so fast. I tried one in Sephora and then bought it and when I got it home it was a much darker color than the one Sephora had out on the shelf to try- same color name, totally lighter on the shelf than when purchased new. When I took it back the employee said yeah, they fade on the shelf once they are open.
Oh that’s interesting. I wonder if they’re kept in a kind of a dark place. I was going to say that mine haven’t faded because they’re in a dark box all closed up but, actually, how would I know if they have or haven’t faded without a comparison so you make a good point.
#TAFLAP
One day he will say it
Love this video. I have never tried his blush. Truthfully, his blush has intimidated me! But, watching you apply it….. ❤❤❤
Oh please try!!!
I love his blushes and eye palettes. The black eyeliner is my everyday for tight lining my upper lids. The copper one dried out which was disappointing. Liking the highlight so far.
Oh NO, the copper dried out??? Oh that's not good at all.
My son's friend knows Patrick and your video is BANG-ON!! Patrick is beyond amazing and so, so sweet. He posts a lot of how to use his products on his Instagram page.
So happy you created this video to set things straight! ❤
Yay!! Thank you so much. Yes I find his tutorials not only easy to follow but also important
I like his stuff but the rose pallete got moldy within six months of having it.
I have all his palettes, from the first releases and non of them is moldy. Thanks 💖💖💖
Same. I was so excited because it was beautiful and the formula was wonderful until I found the mold after two weeks in the shimmers. None of my other palettes have done that. If they would fix that issue I would buy again in a heartbeat.
There is no doubt that this has been an issue. They released a statement about eight months ago maybe nine months ago ago apologizing and saying that they will make sure this doesn’t happen again. I don’t quite understand it because it’s not like it’s super clean beauty. I wonder what the reasoning is
@@_dewintherI see bad ingredient binder issues getting confused for mold all the time. Of course, mold happens, but that makes more sense to me
😮. That’s awful!
As someone who doesn't do her eyeshadow without combining cream and powder products and is hard pressed to do a blush look without layering cream and powder products, perhaps I ought check out some of Mr. Ta's products.
Oh YES! YES! You'd LOVE them!
I love, love, loved this video! I didn’t know about his history. You nailed it! Virtually all success stories include set backs! That’s how life works! I had one mentor that said, “If you haven’t had a big failure, you haven’t tried enough hard things yet”
Patrick Ta blushes changed my blush and makeup game. That’s not an exaggeration. As an oily skin girlie finishing up a makeup look always meant leaving the bathroom with as matte a face as possible. I never used a single cream product. But the first time I put that cream blush over the powder and it wasn’t sticky or oily looking but just looked AMAZING was eye opening to me. It looked fabulous! It lasted! It was my entry to realize I could use cream products and even figure out ways to look glowy!
#TaFlap 🤗 One day he’ll say it. I just know it!
Right!!!!!!!!! We are raised to think oily never add shine and vice versa. But that’s not necessarily true!!
thank you!
💕💕❤️♥️❤️💕
Also when I was in Sephora over the weekend and asked about the shades Sugar and Honey that are sold out online and in store. The SA told me that they were pulled for formulation issues for just those two shades and will be rereleased. I didn’t have a way to verify it but thought it was interesting nonetheless
Yes. They are being redone supposedly. But I think it's more of a "people are complaining so just act like it's a mistake."
TAP the TA!! Just TAP the TA!! 🤣
Hahahaha tap the flap!
I've had a wonderful experience with the blushes and 2 highlighters so far. LOVING Patrick Ta's formulas, packaging, and method (although I was skeptical at first!). I have stayed away from other products because I like the non-pt products I have (ie: shadows, contour/bronzer/ foundation....) but the blushes and highlighters, I figure were a safe risk to try. SO GLAD I DID!!!
Hello Elizabeth. I like your reasoning here. Makes perfect sense and it sounds like you’re making the most of the products that you are already enjoying and adding some things to the mix
Hi dear Rebecca! Lovely video, thank you!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩I had a bronzer palette, but i declutter a lot. Wayne Goss did win with the shade combinations back than. The Patrick Ta duo blush palettes, yes, on my wishlist still! Don't know which shade yet, not too loud anyway. Also love his matte eyeshadow palette!!! Sending you lots of love!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤
I love the patrick ta more muted blush shades, I admit. I'm not very adventurous!
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty thanks for mentioning, yes, indeed, recently he launced more muted blushes!
I really like his blush duos. I’m curious about the new highlighter duos but I’ve seen such mixed reviews. Having said that, watching you apply it in this video has me leaning back towards trying it #taflap Also DenonaFlap is killing me 🤣🤣🤣
Denona Flap is a big no. Haha.
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty a ‘Denono’ if you will 🤣
I liked what you said about giving products more of a chance. Do people expect to know the exact best way to use a particular product before they've used it at least 5 to 10 (or more)? I know I was finally trying the Suqqu 20 Anniversary palette the other day and I certainly was not doing something right with the primer shade. Having used the palette 5 times now, I'm still working out a reasonable eyeshadow look.
That makes sense. Sometimes there’s a bit of a learning curve and I know I can be very impatient as well. Sounds like you were being more than patient with the Suqqu. They have such beautiful eyeshadow that I hope you work out a nice look soon
Good morning Rebecca! I absolutely love his blushes! I always do cream over powder. I'd love to try his foundation and I have a gorgeous lipstick in my loves list at Sephora.
The look on the skin is always so ethereal
I got daddy and I love it! I put a little powder and cream over top and it’s beautiful!!!! I thought about Sugar but I think they are pretty close. I know there were some manufacturing issues with Sugar. I feel like he will tweak that. His blushes are just my fav.
Oooooo I didn’t mention the brushes. He has so many people who just love his brushes!
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty oh yea I have a couple. They are good synthetic.
I do like his blush
It’s so pretty. And so unique
Love PT blushes, RMS blush and Bronzers and many others! I am going to try pT Bronzers next but not a big user of any highlighter so probably a pass! However will look at it in store and see!😂😂😂 Ty Rebecca🎉🎉🎉🎉! Your look is great. Have a great Sunday!!🎉🎉🎉🎉😎
Thank you so much Mary. Yes the highlighter is really the one that needs understanding before use I think.
I applied his foundation exactly as you did. I found the formula to be thick, it will not lay down and moves under other products. The powder does practically nothing and mine hard-panned in a few days. There are too many excellent foundations on the market that perform much better.
Totally fair. I totally get it April
I'm curious, because I was interested in trying it, what is your skin type? I'm normal but some oil in tzone. I thought the thickness and balmy-ness might work out .....? did you use the powder before other products or after? thanks!
@@lisgelfling1031 I have definitely very very normal skin with no oiliness anywhere. I apply it exactly as I did in the order of the steps of this video just powdering around the eyes nose and a little on the tee zone but I don’t really need it there
Well.
You've made me reconsider. Patrick Ta isn't particularly easy in the UK - either in-person or online, but I am looking for a new blush.
Worth it for the blush for sure.
I have still not tried any Patrick Ta products but if I were I would start with his blusher 😊💕
That’s the definite stand out product
I have fallen in love with the blushes! I've always been terrified with creams, yet with the right brush and a light hand these are just fun and beautiful! I am very much considering the foundation. Would you say you pull it out often? Considering I have prob 20 foundations do I really need it? Thank you for your review. I'm passing on the highlighters though...
I do not pull it out very often because it’s multi step and I have to be careful and I have to use it the right way. I love to slap on make up and go so it is definitely not every day for me but when I have time and I feel like spending the time and I want to perfected look that I absolutely use it. I hope that makes sense.
My favourite products from Patrick Ta are the foundation and blush (so many colours I love). I have the same thoughts in that I do not like it when people disparage a product/brand when it’s giving what it says. The CT foundation comments have been idiotic. I saw some creators not doing it the way he recommends then complain.
I bet it’s hard to put out a product and just see people using it with no regard to instruction. That being said, that’s got to be something they take into consideration. Must be why the man himself does so many tutorials
My concern is the quality control of the highlighters. I knew I went in buying a transparent product that would create a glass like appearance and more natural look. With that said the balm is goopy and gummy. When I put my finger in the balm even lightly as suggested by the brand it pulls this stringy gum like goop. My disappointment is because reviews I’ve watched the balm is fine and in others they experienced what I have.
Totally Fairpoint. My darker shades are gummy as well and that is my larger concern with his body bomb which is a gummy goopy mess that stuck to one side of the container. I am having luck by barely touching them and barely applying it but I can see the inconsistency and can see why that concerns you. Totally fair
+1 Thanks 💖💖💖
💕💕💕
Great video Rebecca! #TaFlap 👑✝️🙏😭
💕💕💕💕💕💕
Ta Flap…you heard it here first, folks.
💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
I like uncensored straight talking reviews and don’t need apologies for having an opinion. There is an overwhelming amount of products on the market and it helps in making choices. Keep up the great nonsense videos.
What a kind comment, Natasha. I appreciate you so much!
I don’t like that his eye palettes have broken on me within 3 months. No other brand .
Oh no!
I agree that that is no good
😂
❤️❤️❤️❤️
