LOL! We definitely had our moments! SO some f'bomb's were said and had a few other snappy moments BUT in the big picture-- we were like - we are in freaking ITALY... we need to make the most of this trip! So I am glad we moved forward. I was proud of my hubby- this is the kind of thing that can put a DAMPER on a trip and he was a trooper... for the most part. xoxo

I’m so sorry to hear about the wallet! My husband wore a money belt in Rome and we teased him, especially when he had to lift up his shirt to purchase something 😂. I’ll share your story - he’ll feel vindicated (he would have been so upset)! I had my wallet stolen right outside my workplace in Chicago, it’s such a sinking feeling, just disappointment in humanity. Same thing, a man distracted me by screaming about a health emergency. Glad Milan made up for the bump in the road.

Welcome back! congrats on your 28th anniversary!! your trip sounds wonderful, Italy is such a magnificent overwhelming country. Much more comfortable in the fall and early spring without crowds and cooler weather. Sorry about the pickpocketing, it's so violating, the crowds and cities are rife with them, always have to be on the watch! my mom got almost robbed by a group of pick-pocketers in Rome 25 yrs ago and we literally had to swat them away. Glad your husband's theft wasn't too severe, if the passport is stolen you're looking at a day++ at the embassy/consulate to get one. I always travel with a money belt tucked under my shirt with my passport and the valuables, not the most glam look with a baggy shirt but I do not care anymore, my peace of mind is worth it🤗😉😁
Thank you!! We had a great trip despite the incident and luckily his passport was back at the hotel. AND yep, we were perfect targets despite being careful- sort of sad. I remember being in Paris and seeing a guy pass out -- I was up above in a building - and the while the gentleman was passed out- people robbed him and ran away and were not concerned about his health or wellbeing. I was like WHOA! Travel is fun but definitely not without its ups and downs. xoxo

So sorry to hear about your husband's pick pocketing incident!!! It can happen to anyone and we have to be one step ahead of the pickpockets. I appreciate you sharing about it in order to help reduce the risk for others. We were in France recently. I asked my husband to use a cross body men's travel bag, which he did and I used smething similar, especially when we were in high risk areas e.g. train stations. We were scoped out by a pickpocket and they even got close to us. Fortunately, like you, our valuables were not easily accessible and they moved on. Thanks for sharing about your other adventures in Italy also. Hope to travel there next year!!!!
Yep! It was a shame. He was wearing a crossbody bag but they moved in and distracted us and unzipped it - took his wallet and then POOF - they were across the street! It all happened so quickly and I am mad at myself because the woman -- was completely in my space and walking on my heels that I moved - so she got behind my husband and her partner in crime was in the front of him. Live and learn. Moving onward and upward!!! AND yes- we still want to go back next year too!! xoxo
Sounds like you did all the right things to reduce your risk. I have heard some of the pickpockets can be super aggressive and it seems that was the case for you. Thankfully you didn't loose your passports. Ciao!

It’s a shame that our country bing so powerful can’t generate pure and beautiful food like Italy. Not even tomatoes. 😢 I’ve been hitting up all the farm stands I can this summer, but I know it’s not the same. Going to check into those sneakers. They look fab! ❤
Yvonne- it was sort of shocking how much the food was different there. I was eating everything without any stomach distress... which is unusual for me!!! Full dairy milk and cheese. Bread! Gelato. LOL! Now, I also was walking minimum of 25K steps a day too. So balance is the key. I just could not get over the tomatoes... I sort of stopped eating them here. The sneakers are AMAZING! Truly - so freaking comfortable. THANK YOU For being here!! xoxo
Welcome home I’m so glad you had a great Italian adventure (not to mention a great haul!). I love Italy. The pickpockets are awful. They almost got my husband, but he was too fast. He got the money from her so all is well that ended well. I can’t wait to source out hogan HOGAN shoes in Toronto as they look very comfortable again welcome home you know it’s always good to go and it’s always good to come home. xoxo

Yeah - it was a bummer and added many extra costs to our trip due to having to change plans on the backend because he was going to see his ill mother but wouldn't be able to rent car without license or credit cards. He was wearing a shoulder bag that was zipped up and basically - the couple got between us- caused a distraction - he turned around and then he was like OMG - they got me!! They immediately started using his cards but luckily he was able to freeze accounts on the street with his apps. He had just taken money out of the ATM-- which was a bummer. The good news is that they didn't get his passport - but definitely put a little damper on that spot. We had been before when it was not so crazy busy and enjoyed ourselves - so we will just go with those memories instead.
My lululemon bag was fantastic because it is truly zipped up and folded over-- and I kept it up front.

Hi Abby, so sorry to hear about your bad experience in Rome but definitely not surprised. We were just in Paris and there was an attempt every day we were there. It is just horrible now. I feel bad for all the people who will be there for the Olympics. Yikes!

Did you go to the Vatican, at least there they have the Swiss Guards. I hope to see that one day, especially Michelangelo’s artwork. Packing cubes are life changing for travel. You must go to the Amalfi Coast, it’s as beautiful as the photos.
Once in Rome was enough for me. Not only is there pick pocketing there can be some very inappropriate behavior that can happen to you.
Yes! I loved the packing cubes and I have been to the Amalfi coast before and LOVED it! We were just mixing it up a bit this trip. AND yep, I have been to Rome 3 times now and I think that will do me! HA! Sorry you experienced that inappropriate behavior. xoxo

I LOVE Milan!! We are planning a trip back next summer!! Woo hoo! I do love Virgin Island water- it is a freshie with a lovely coconut note! I do not own that one but it is on my radar and i have several samples that i have gone through. Just wonderful! xoxo
Amazing video, Abby! So many things that I like.... I am traveling to Europe in a few months - how did the glass containers of the Angela Caglia Skincare work out? I went down the rabbit hole and purchased several items. I’m worried that they might break when traveling.
Amazing! I took them and nothing broke or leaked. So you are all good on that front. You could also decant the moisturizer and cleanser into smaller plastic containers if you wanted too. So glad you are enjoying the Angela Skincare. xoxo

One question for you. I know you said that the Celine Zouzou smells a bit like the Chanel Comete but is it long lasting? I love Comete and it lasts very long so was wondering if the new Zoozoo is similar to Comete since we don’t have a Celine store in Montreal.
Also, in the Chanel exclusive family, is there one perfume you recommend that is in the same type of Comete?

Yes you do! LOL! They are totally different scents but just similar powdery vibes. Comete is Bitter Almond Powder and ZouZou is Vanilla Tonka Powder. I love them both so much. ZouZou is definitey more of a gourmand. I am wearing it today! LOVE! xoxo
Are the Linen pants from J crew too long. I was looking at them a while ago but was concerned with the length. Great video.
They are slightly long on me but if you wear a slightly elevated sneaker or sandal they work. I kind of liked the longer length. I am 5'3 and I would say they are about an inch too long but not terrible... I hope this helps. xoxo

Does the new Roja perfume smell like Oud Juane Intense?
Hmm.... no that one is a bit more tropical to me! The new one is a bit more of a citrusy, creamy floral with some warmth to it. Let me wear it a bit more and come up with a better description for you. I am going to do a full review coming up. xoxo
Hi abby - do you know what color loafers your husband bought? Is it brown or beige?
He bought the Beige ones. They are pretty darn similar - so understand the question! They did not have his size in the Brown ones at the time but he is very happy with the Beige ones. He actually liked a bunch of colors. LOL! I hope this helps. xoxo

Second comment. It wouldn’t let me edit. You always have to watch your goodies. You carry it inside your clothes or in front of you. They have kids, elderly, pairs , teams to pick pocket. They are experts and good at what they do. My daughter has a money carry that goes around neck and tucks inside her shirt. Pants. Or men can get a money belt. Sadly, they are all over. Oh. And It’s the season for bed bugs. All need to be safe. They can get into laptops pads, etc. and even 5 star hotels. There is a bed big register online. Gross. Ew. Ha ha. Not to bring your trip down
Hello Louise!! Thank you so much! Yep-- we really were trying to be cautious but evidently an easy target. LOL. AND I am so glad that we did not have issues with bed bugs. THAT scares me even more than getting pick pocketed. YIKES! We are home now and no bed bugs - so we will call that a WIN!!
