I run this in my sc10 along with the 13.5T TrackStar motor in the stock class at my local track. I keep within less than a lap of the mod short course guys. Got 1 full season out of the combo and its still goin strong without a single issue. I also have one in my sc104x4 where the wire lead sticker was put on the esc upside-down and I soldered the positive and negative on the wrong posts...emailed hobbywing and sent em a pic of the misplaced sticker and they send me a new esc in less than a week. I LOVE these electronics! Allows more people to get into the hobby and work their way up the ranks and hang with the best of em
this is by far the best ESC I have run,I too have run Tekins,Lrp,speed passions .... and this esc is just as smooth and runs cool, gives great punch and its now my best esc to have I sold all my big money esc's and got 4 of these 3 to run in my cars and 1 as a back up.... Love them, trackstar has me as a fan!
Took the words RIGHT out of my mouth! "If you're a 14 year old kid, 200 dollars for a speed control can be a hefty amount of money" #TRUTH I'm 16 though.
Well im 21 but i live in Poland so 200$ is around 1200 Pln i get 14Pln per hour of work(im in the college) so affording high end esc means around 86 hours of work ;/
Product Review: I'm running a 17.5T V2 motor and 80A Turbo Trackstar Combo in both a B5M and T4.2 and really like it, it's allowed me to get in to the hobby without breaking the bank.Customer Service review: I had a Version 1 motor lay down, contacted customer service, sent pictures and a video of the motor grinding and making horrible noises and within 4 days I had a new motor in the buggy without sending my old one in. Very happy with the shipping time, (tracking seems a bit screwy but hey I got it).Lap times are good and the kid is getting better every week with it in a stock buggy class and I'm starting to be able to keep up with the better drivers (my skill is improving and I still can't out drive the motor, there's always more left)
I know this review is little old but I got a few of this and YES they do have a one year warranty. One of mine went bad and all I did is recorded a short clip of the issue and send it to HK and they replaced it. They have (according to their web page) a 30 day warranty on batteries and one year on everything else.
Ever since I returned the hobby 3 years ago. I was amazed as to how Novak and Tekin ESC's have gotten (10 years away from the hobby). I run all Turnigy electroics with the exception of my Futaba 4PLS, which should be the only thing anyone spends good money on re: electronics. Although the support might be limited at best, at least now they are ROAR certified and really great value. Glad to see more folks open to hobbyking electronics as I found a lot of folks that were fanboys of the 2 bigger brands.
I run the HW v3.1 with Reedy ach 2's in my Seroent 2wd buggies. I recently picked up one of these for my 4wd Xray buggy build along with a trackstar 7.5 motor. I have to say the throttle feel is exactly the same with this esc. The motor has a little more low end power the the Mach 2 that it closely resembles. I did open up the motor to compare to my Reedys and everything is the same except the rotor they use. Theses motors and esc's are the best bang for the buck imo.
FYI I recently purchased the Gen II 150A ESC and program box paired up with a SMC 1900KV motor for my JQ Products buggy. Not knowing much of anything about programming or if its doing what I'm putting into the esc its been real reliable so far. Did have an issue where it would intermittently shut off but its come out of it. As of the warranty I inquired about it and I was told it has a 1yr. Only drawback is you have to video what it is doing wrong fill out a form on HK website submit the video and they send you a new one. They told me they do not require the broken product back. 1yr is a lot of racing and opportunity for something to go wrong. IMO I will buy another if it breaks after a year. Like you video blog lots of good instruction and advice. Keep up the good work!
I always used these ESCs and they were brilliant, plus the fact the calibration instructions are available. Just view the ESC webpage from the HK international warehouse, scroll down to the bottom and click on "files" and the setup instructions are there
I've been running the 120amp hobby king speedo for years now. I've had mine around 8 years and must be the version 1 as It looks different to the one in the video although it's still the trackstar esc. I've never had an issue with mine and its been in buggy, stadium trucks, touring cars and f1. Brilliant value for money and well recommended
Thank you Jason for another great video. I buy gen ace batteries and I've bought expensive speed controllers and cheap Chinese moters and they work great and fast, never had a problem with them. Suprisingly faster than i thought they'd be. So you're absolutely right. Your video's are VERY helpful. Again thank you for your videos.
So I've had this ESC for a few months now and have to say its just as good as Jason describes it. Very user friendly and works flawless for me. Super smooth and can handle just about any normal motor I throw at it. The downfall of it is the size, this thing is big and trying to run it in a 22 2.0 mid motor configuration is lets just say not up to my standards. Running the wires and getting it all to fit under the body is a feat in it's own. Rubs the body on both sides. Other then that love watching what Jason comes up with and look forward to using more of his ideas and tricks in the future.
I run the Trackstar 10.5 motor in my SC and Stadium truck. I have guys with 7.5-8.5 motors asking me how i got my truck so fast! ( I spent $35 bucks thats how! LOL ). When i first put the motor in my ST i over geared it and got the motor temp up to about 190, i was afraid i hurt the motor, but 3 races later she is still running strong! Good stuff!
I just got into rc about two months ago and after buying two redcats and going to the local indoor club track I realized pretty fast that I wanted to race and bashing redcat junk was not going to cut it! So I look around and found a losi Ten SCTE and put a my castle system that I bought to upgrade the volcano. But anyway I have bought a B5m because of your video and the advise of they local club racers and could not be happier with it. (Novak GRB 3) is electronics! However!!! I also bought a Turnigy 120a esc do to your review of the Hobbyking Turning 120A esc and bought 2 of them and a 7.5 turn motor and could not get either one to work right in a SCT!!! I even had two of the pro's try and program it and the forward reverse would switch all by itself and would glitch really bad!!! So that was a 3 weeks ago and still have not got my refund!!! Dealing with hobbyking is my worst experience I have ever had buying online!!! They dont even have a customer service phone number! chat/email service only!!!! So the fact that I had the same problem with both esc and then turn around and put a castle system in the same set up and did not have a problem that tells me there esc is crap!!!! People PLEASE PLEASE DO YOURSELF FAVOR AND STAY AWAY FROM HOBBYKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I bought two Trackstar esc's and two 13.5T motors. I installed one into an RZ6 and it raced flawlessly. When I installed the second one in an RB6, however, the motor went up in smoke instantly. Since I had not managed to even get it to move, I looked into HobbyKing's return policy. I made a short video of the failed motor and submitted for an RMA. Just 13 hours later I had an e-mail saying my RMA has been processed and they are sending me a new motor and I do not have to send the bad one back!. I've been in R/C for over three decades and run the very best to the very worst gear there is with mixed results. So far my experience with Trackstar is 50/50 but HK responded to my issue so quickly, they're keeping me as a customer.
I run the turnigy trackstar 1/8 brushless combo hands down one of the best systems I have ever ran . I like it better than my castle creations stuff stay way cooler and all around better performance
They look good. I have heard many good things. ...and.....many bad things about stuff like this. If you dont have the money for the top shelf if you will, than I would have no problem trying them out. For me though, I always turn to Tekin for my motor/ESC needs. May cost a bit more, but anyone who has dealt with the Tekin C/S will understand. Great vid though. Interested to see that setup as well as the serpent!
A guy at my track runs these and likes them alot and i took a closer look at his and they look like the Orion r10 (like you showed at the end of the video). I bet they come from the same factory.
SOME People have no problem coughing up the BIG bux for Reedy, Tekin, LRP, what have you.... I CAN'T!! 😞😫 So thanks for at least half of a Review on this! There are choices for the REST of us, and some aren't half bad. Problem is - the OTHER half are complete CRAP!! I wish you could do some more of these on the current crop of Budget ESCs. I personally have had good luck with Hobbywing.... But there's certainly others.
Can you please do more low budget esc/motor combos ? Maybe you can get in touch with some of the company’s and let you do a review on some of there products.
Hey Jason you probably don't pay attention to comments from a RUclips video that you posted eight years ago but just wanted to say the track stars were good back then but it seems like they've just dissolved HobbyKing dissolved. My gen-one like the speed control you have in the video went out and now I have a Gen 2 with the smart program box I got the right box for the speed control but it won't connect and like you said there is no support kind of a bummer I paid about $60 for the gen2 and it's nice I'm sure it would be great if I can program it
Have you tried/reviewed their Turbo 80amp? I run mainly 13.5, 10.5 and no lower than a 7.5. If its anything like the 120 it would be an awsome deal. I had to pay $81 for my 120 but still find it to be a great deal.
So this video is 2 years old, is this still a good budget speed control or are there other budget offerings to consider. Looking to get back into the hobby on a budget to start with maybe do some racing and have fun. any advice is get thanks.
I've used the the cheap stuff and good stuff. It's defiantly has the best performance per dollar. Like for example, the voltage cutoff's don't work on any of the ones i have. Which isn't that big of a deal if your racing 1 heat or main.
Dude I have 5 kids which 3 want to race 10th scale truck/bugs plus myself, and this is just what I was looking for. Thanks a bunch for doing this budget build. Please Please do more!!! Thanks man! P.S your awesome and doing these videos! Your easy to understand, entertaining and seam like a great person!!!! One more thing I just ordered a B5M champion and want to know what what turn motor should I use? I am a couple months into this so still a beginner but am getting better on the track!
I have the 80 amp speed control. It is almost as fast as the velineon system but with the turnigy motor it only cost $75. I did however get the wrong programming card for it.
Thanks for the video as far as the Trackstar goes well its been hit or miss in my collection. There is a video on RUclips showing how to calibrate and using the program card but as far as what settings I’m still confused. Ive tried it in 3 different cars and i end up pulling it out and putting it back in the drawer, maybe one day ill figure out how to set the settings on program card to get performance i want out of it,or maybe its just the fact I’m using the 21t Trackstar motor with it and not getting the speed i want. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
I have this esc. Pretty powerful and smooth. Run with trackstar 10.5t, just barely warm only. However, it have brake strength issue, it's too weak unless set to 100%. Not sure any of you have encountered this problem or not? Or it's firmware bug?
Bought one of these never got it to work. Would come on light up but no response from controller. Lights up red then all lights go out. The fan runs and when you try to calibrate light comes on solid then starts flashing but thats it won't ever do anything else.
I have ruckus ECX and my motor went out, so I was thinking of getting TURNIGY TRACKSTAR WATERPROOF combo motor and ecs from hobby king. Is it worth it? Thanks!
ShortCourseWorld How about this one? Hobbyking® X-Car 120A Brushless Car ESC (sensored/sensorless) identical with the Hobbywing XERUN V2.1 version. Tested with almost all the suitable Hobbywing's firware and is working fine. www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idproduct=28377
question...i just got the program box and have no clue how to use it...im new to the rc world so all advice would be appreciated....so how do i use it and plug it in
I'm on a budget (just a cheep a$$ saddle maker) and I'm gonna put down the cash to try this new esc from your review. I've also been wanting to try the SMC lipos. Figured that you do good reviews and SMC makes a $60 square lipo for the new B5. Just in case your still doing the ol budget reviews...lol
Saw in the comments you were going to put this on b5 just wondering how that went... I also have a b5 and want to know how it performs fits etc...dunno if I am going to go with a turnigy motor or not though was thinking the hobbywing v10 7.5 if you could please let me know any and all info you got. I appreciate it in advance

I'm not a fan of any of the speed passion reventon speed controls....the trak power is pretty good....and I never run a fan on the trackstar esc and it doenst get hot with a 7.5t motor.
+Erik theGoProFanatic Go to hobbyking.com there are plenty of budget options there. This is the one I personally use in my buggies and it is very fast and seems well built. It is faster than my old Futaba servo which I paid almost $200 for. www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__52736__TrackStar_TS_D99X_Digital_1_10_Scale_Touring_Drift_Buggy_Steering_Servo_10kg_0_08sec_45g.html This is one is even cheaper, but it doesn't have a coreless motor and is not low profile (if that matters to you)www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__62702__TrackStar_TS_411MG_Digital_1_10_Scale_Short_Course_Steering_Servo_11_1kg_0_09sec_57g.html
Try a 550 tacon motor from nitrorcx.com I have one and it runs great. U need to buy a new pinion thought because the shaft is 5mm. Also the one I got was the 2700kv one and for 40$ it goes around 27-29 mph and has been running good for over a year
He should also say that most of the cheaper are only 2s and if you want 6s you better go with a rx8. There is a reason they cost more. I use HOBBYWING myself which is a great medium.
Of course there only 2s there 1/10 escs not 1/8 lol . Your not gonna run 6s in a 2wd buggy . And the tekin rx8 isn't the only esc that supports 6s . You need to do a little learnin lol
looks like they raised the price on the shorty packs.....here are two alternatives....www.hobbypartz.com/98p-30c-4000-2s1p-hardcase.html ..I like running the longer packs in my B4.2 it just drives way better.....or these are really good batteries...www.smc-racing.net/index.php?route=product/product&path=67_97&product_id=121
ShortCourseWorld Thanks, a friend just ordered a few of these. They are 2s2p, not 2s1p, does that make a difference? Seems to be a great value. He's pretty frugal! www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__18606__ZIPPY_Flightmax_5400mah_2S2P_50C_Hardcase_Car_Lipoly.html
i currently run this in my 2wd. i cannot get any info or video to help with calibration. i think mines is the newer version with the power button built into the esc. any help would be great
Well here's the thing I'm new to this so I was hoping to talk to somebody to find a good set up I run a b 44.1 I wanted speed control and motor what do you suggest for motor with the speed control
www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewitem.asp?idproduct=41184&aff=291117 and to tune esc: www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewitem.asp?idproduct=41184&aff=291117 normally I run a 6.5 or a 7.5 but an 8.5 with a little bit of boost is a good way to go if your new to 4w buggy.
For guys out there that are gonna buy the turnigy trackstar sensored motors, you should to get the turnigy ESC. It was out of stock so i decided to get the Hobbyking X-car 120amp esc. IT DOES NOT WORK WITH SENSOR CABLE!! just for guys out there so they would know ^^.
I own several x-car 120s and they work just fine with sensors. If it stops working when you plug sensor cable in its usually because you've got the phases wired wrong.
I'm a 44 yo. kid just getting into the hobby. I just ordered all Turnigy electronics. Why? At this point I don't know what I really want / need to compete, and economics. For 2 hondo shipped I'm getting the following. Motor, esc, program box, servo, and 2 batteries. Compare that to one higher end esc and it's a no brainier for a rookie.
I'm not too good with all this computer stuff I've always ordered by calling never online so that's another reason why I'm having so much trouble with this place but I'm trying because it is a good deal
LOL I got a hold of them today spoke to a lady that I couldn't understand asked for somebody else and she refused to let me talk to someone else so I gave up again LOL
their all made in the same factory just got different stickers, the only time people whinge about them is because they were silly enough to pay 3 times the money for the same thing. The first one I bought I thought was faulty, took it back to the HK Australia wearhouse and they gave me a new one on the spot and they let me keep the old one witch was a bonus because there was nothing wrong with it it was Chanel 2 on my receiver was stuffed, new receiver and now I've got 2 perfect ESC, I'd be surprise if any other company would match that customer service and why would they, if your silly enough to pay that sort of money for a ESC you would believe any excuse that they come up with why they can't help
There 100% not all made the same . For instance tekin and lrp are far superior and have better mosfets and programming and yes customer support for us ..they put out more power more efficiently than the others by having better I.R. . That's why I have 20+ yr old Novak and tekin escs that still run like new .
@@chriswebb383 you keep telling yourself that, there's plenty of people out their that have had trouble with the most expensive ESC you can buy and there's people out their that have had no trouble with cheaper ESC, I use to use Orion ESC for years but I would pick the trackstar even if they were the same price, special the new v2 120amp by track star and if there not made in the same factory their made in factory next door, but while there people out their that get suck in by brand names certain companies are going to keep ripping people off
I get your point don't get me wrong..but you know as well as anyone that just because there made in the same place does not mean there made the same ...take car audio for example. You can buy a $75 2000w amp but your getting a piece of crap that MAY out out 500w maybe ! But you buy a high quality and and it's a different story . Just like with any electronics ..don't get me wrong I like the trackstar stuff myself
them expensive esc and motors are a joke! seriously even if you have the money to buy that stuff it is all just overpriced big brand name junk and all blingin your trendy mind[ mostly bragging rights]. Don't waste your money on the overpriced stuff. Hobbyking is ok but you will have to wait for it to be shipped and who knows how long that will take. I have had the 120anp tubo esc in my b5m for almost a year now running out back on a huge backyard dusty loose dirt track in extreme heat and have never had any issues with it or the motor. Hobbywing electronics are the way to go IMO and both my local track[lsr speedway] + amain in chico ca + local hobby store carry the hobbywing stuff. The just stock hobbywing esc and motors are excellent choices.
I just put in a $150 Hobbystar 120 amp turbo esc/motor combo from rcjuice.com into a b6d and it is frickin RAD! The owner says its on par with the orion and tekin stuff and I absolutely believe it. Im super happy I bought it and it came with a program box and usb cable to software. GO RCJUICE!
Jason, I had to thumbs down this video, sorry dude. It's nothing you did, but I ordered a TrackStar 10.5 motor, on Sunday. It's Friday, and the order is still processing. I've been in contact with their support people (who even online are very poor at English), trying to cancel an order, and they absolutely refuse. I ordered through HobbyKing, and will never do business with them again. First time, and last time. Pretty much screw HobbyKing. Their shipping is $9 for 1 brushless motor, that says it will ship in 24-48 hours. It's been 96 hours, with multiple attempts at trying to find out a reason for the delay, and zero response. Completely unacceptable. They are refusing to honor their own policies, as written on their website. I'm beyond pissed off at this point.
their been looking after me like a king, if I have any problems with any thing they replace it on the spot they set up the first 120amp turbo ESC I got now I've got them wired that's why I've got them in nearly every rc vehicle I've got. The trick is not dealing with the hong kong wearhouse unless you live there, I'm lucky enough to live a ten minute walk from the Australian wearhouse
I've had about 15 orders so far with HK since their early days and have had no issues whatsoever with them. My most recent order was on 8 March and received the items on 11 March. Happy to keep buying from HK.
Michael, I don't know maybe you should give them one more chance cuz I've never had any problems with ordering from them yet. Their stuff came in great condition and I think I only had to wait an extra week from their Hong Kong warehouse.
I run this in my sc10 along with the 13.5T TrackStar motor in the stock class at my local track. I keep within less than a lap of the mod short course guys.
14 year old kid who doesn't have a lot of money, this is my type of channel
I CAN'T!! 😞😫
So thanks for at least half of a Review on this!
I see this is a older video but am wondering if you have used the gen2 version? If so would you recommend it?
+Mark White I dont want to be timited by the motor once i get better! I can always program it down no??
I'm thinking about this but, I also have the Orion Stock esc that you used in your SC6 in mind!
I have the 80 amp speed control. It is almost as fast as the velineon system but with the turnigy motor it only cost $75. I did however get the wrong programming card for it.
does it over Heat?
Do you live in or near Detroit or just a fan of the Wings ? I live in Center Line Mi ..... Good video bro
Turnigy been putting out good gear at great prices for a minute how is the shipping and handling time and prices😃😃😃😃😃
nice vid man, looking forward to your thoughts after it hits the track :-)
I saw a video where you cut your own chassis with a 6040 you bought. Would you cut a chassis for someone?
So that esc should be able to be used in a "blinky" 17.5 class??
Bought one of these never got it to work. Would come on light up but no response from controller. Lights up red then all lights go out. The fan runs and when you try to calibrate light comes on solid then starts flashing but thats it won't ever do anything else.
I have ruckus ECX and my motor went out, so I was thinking of getting TURNIGY TRACKSTAR WATERPROOF combo motor and ecs from hobby king. Is it worth it? Thanks!
Just got this esc and I am soldering it right now is it normal that the esc gets really hot and is it bad for it
I really like the idea of trying this product I guess I'll never know
you have to just order online.www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewitem.asp?idproduct=41184&aff=291117

question...i just got the program box and have no clue how to use it...im new to the rc world so all advice would be appreciated....so how do i use it and plug it in
nice video man, thumbs up!!
I can only find the v2 version of the esc on hobbywing (which is $75)
is the esc good for a slash
Does anyone know if the trackstar ESCs will work with the hobbywing program box?
I'm on a budget (just a cheep a$$ saddle maker) and I'm gonna put down the cash to try this new esc from your review. I've also been wanting to try the SMC lipos. Figured that you do good reviews and SMC makes a $60 square lipo for the new B5. Just in case your still doing the ol budget reviews...lol
SMC stuff works good....this esc works good too.....i'll do a a calibration video when i get back home next week :)
Very cool man thanks for all the good info. Looks like I'll be making ocrc my home track.
Scott Foy How about this one?

Ended up buying one listed and love it... works great
Hi there, when you ran the esc did you run it with the fan or not.
never needed the fan for my application
Thank you so much, keep up the good service you are doing. I watch your youtube channel all time for information!!!!
Hey jason, I know you do a lot of racing. How do the speedpassions reventon R and trakpower ms-1 do on the track
I'm not a fan of any of the speed passion reventon speed controls....the trak power is pretty good....and I never run a fan on the trackstar esc and it doenst get hot with a 7.5t motor.
just chilling here with my 45 amp Orion esc... wont be doing any racing anytime soon...
will this ESC work on traxxas slash brushless
need more of u at the track
just plug it into box and use the arrows to scroll through the menus
Please do more of these reviews they are awesome
So go with the Turnigy Motor
I know a few people who've had great luck with them and I just got two in the mail.
What is the name of the servo u were talking about in the vid. I am trying todo a buget build as well. It would be great if I knew
+Robert T all that matters is if it fits in to the b5m, good specs and good price
+Robert T you were the best help for me do u think the first one would fit the b5m
It will definitely fit in a B5M. I use the same one in my TLR 22.
My 5 year old has a Dominus 10sc Im thinking about converting it to brushless. What's a good motor to run with this speed control?
What was that $30 battery?
At my age and ability cutting edge only costs more!
looks like they raised the price on the shorty packs.....here are two alternatives....www.hobbypartz.com/98p-30c-4000-2s1p-hardcase.html ..I like running the longer packs in my B4.2 it just drives way better.....or these are really good batteries...www.smc-racing.net/index.php?route=product/product&path=67_97&product_id=121
ShortCourseWorld
Thanks, a friend just ordered a few of these. They are 2s2p, not 2s1p, does that make a difference? Seems to be a great value. He's pretty frugal!
www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__18606__ZIPPY_Flightmax_5400mah_2S2P_50C_Hardcase_Car_Lipoly.html
those should work just fine....probably come off the same assembly line as many other name brand batteries. :)
ShortCourseWorld
Great, thanks for the help. Next mission, a value priced lipo charger and brushless for the old XXXCR.
check out the Thunder AC6...Ive had one for 3 years.....it was like $45 and has the same function as my 4 port Hitec that was $220
Can you run a 1s with this esc?
i currently run this in my 2wd. i cannot get any info or video to help with calibration. i think mines is the newer version with the power button built into the esc. any help would be great
James Dailly im also looking for this
I tried to contact Hobby king to order this product and set on hold for an hour and gave up
I'll try to find you a link.....Ive tried calling...their customer service is hit and miss
Will this work with a 8.5 reedy motor for 2wd buggy
+Kaleb Moore From what I've been reading should do, its what I plan to use in my 2WD (well either this or xcar 120a)
Detroit Red wings! I got one of those speed controls
are you from Michigan?
problem the three leds flashing, help
Rafael Barbosa sensor wire
whats a good sensored combo i can run on my sc10 for racing? im a veteran basher and just started out in the racing series
Try a Novak edge + 13.5 t combo decent price lots of esc tuning options you can probably find it on amain
Hi, what is the motor limit on this esc? I have a 4.5 turn reedy sonic.
4 turn on 2s
www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__22402__turnigy_trackstar_120a_turbo_sensored_brushless_1_12th_1_10th_esc.html
Motor limit is 4 turn
Well here's the thing I'm new to this so I was hoping to talk to somebody to find a good set up I run a b 44.1 I wanted speed control and motor what do you suggest for motor with the speed control
www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewitem.asp?idproduct=41184&aff=291117
and
to tune esc: www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewitem.asp?idproduct=41184&aff=291117
normally I run a 6.5 or a 7.5 but an 8.5 with a little bit of boost is a good way to go if your new to 4w buggy.
If it stops working when you plug sensor cable in its usually because you've got the phases wired wrong.
nice video, too.
PLEASE ANSWERS. Can i use that esc with a reedy 550 sl 3500kv motor?
Carlos Sires yes
I need a controller, any recommendation s, besides the hobby king turds.
I'm in the same boat. I can't spend tons of money on speed controls.
I'm not too good with all this computer stuff I've always ordered by calling never online so that's another reason why I'm having so much trouble with this place but I'm trying because it is a good deal
Like that detroit shirt...
Wanna sell yours? I need a ESC and they are back ordered :(
LOL I got a hold of them today spoke to a lady that I couldn't understand asked for somebody else and she refused to let me talk to someone else so I gave up again LOL
their all made in the same factory just got different stickers, the only time people whinge about them is because they were silly enough to pay 3 times the money for the same thing.
Turnigy builds for a lot for name brand companies as well as China Japan :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D
Go wings!
The second version of it costs about $90..
The Secret is out..
Turnigy
The reason people pay so much for escs is because they can run 1-8s and they are waterproof
There's plenty of really cheap esc that can do that and there's also really expensive esc that can't run 1 to 6 cell batteries as well
I guess I wasn't meant to order from this place LOL
way to rep detroit!
I'm watching all these videos and I'm crying because I'm 14 got no money just spent money on a speed control just that and I'm broke
Red wings!!!! Go detroit
Mine burnt up after 75 ft into driving it!! Lol
So it would not be good for a 8.5 reedy motor
Actually if you go on hobbyking and speak to product specialist ralph his rc knowledge is irreplaceable
channel
them expensive esc and motors are a joke! seriously even if you have the money to buy that stuff it is all just overpriced big brand name junk and all blingin your trendy mind[ mostly bragging rights].
Agree you are paying that extra $ for all the advertisement and paying for all the sponsored drivers who get there speed controls free or half price.
Michael Nunya bummer they are slipping on their customer support.
their been looking after me like a king, if I have any problems with any thing they replace it on the spot they set up the first 120amp turbo ESC I got now I've got them wired that's why I've got them in nearly every rc vehicle I've got.
Their stuff came in great condition and I think I only had to wait an extra week from their Hong Kong warehouse.
bad customer service.
