  • These Screwdrivers Have SPECIAL FEATURES You NEVER SEEN BEFORE! In this video we show the #verycoolgang a cool new set of screwdrivers we recently picked up from WERA that have special feature you might never have seen before on a screwdriver. On a trip to Fazzio industrial supply Vince was checking out when he spotted this set of WERA screwdrivers and decided to pick them up for this review because a lot of people have told us to try them out over the years. We give you the rundown and overview of these awesome screwdrivers in this video. Let us know your thoughts and experiences with WERA screwdrivers down in the comments section below.

I bought a set in 1982 when I was working in Germany. Same handle design, different material. Still got 2 of them, the only 2 that haven’t been lost or stolen over the years. Quite reasonably priced here in the UK, especially compared to Snap-on, which I also have. I went over to using 1/4” bits some time ago, my brand of choice being...Wera.

Ive had my Wera set for a little over a year now and I absolutely love them. I tend to grab my multi-bit screwdriver more often on service calls so after a couple months i had to get the Wera multi screwdriver of course. I love it even more. Great bits and its adjustable from a standard length screwdriver to a semi stubby screwdriver. CANT remember the exact name of it, but it’s probably worth checking out.

Wera screw drivers are pretty much the go to for our company now regardless of the trade. Green/Black handles are standard drivers, Yellow/Red are VDE rated, Yellow/Black are knocking drivers. All really well built. From what I remember they're actually one of the founding members of the universal measuring scale for pz etc in Europe so they fit really snug into screws and terminals.

Wera makes awesome tools. A few are a bit hokey, but most are extremely well designed, very strong, ergonomic often extremely innovative and make your life much easier.
My favourite is probably the mini Cyclops set. It replaces so many tools and is a perfect light weight option for someone that likes to travel light and occasionally need a ratchet, screwdriver or smaller fasteners

PB Swiss is king for screwdrivers. Their dedication to quality is unmatched. They developed their own proprietary spring steel for their use. Each product is labelled with a serial number allowing them to trace every step of the manufacturing process. Their tips are incredibly accurate and consistent. One of the few companies that takes the extra step and parallel edges their slotted drivers. The end cap on the PB Swiss precision drivers hold up a lot better than the Wiha ones and have less friction. PB Swiss is pretty traditional and doesn't do any of the features like Wera does for grip. They just make their tips as accurate as possible and it pays off. They dominate fields where precise tips are required like medical and aviation. You do have to pay for their no compromise approach though.

Wera is a German brand and I own some of their tools. Good quality tools for professional use, I especialy use their ratchets and joker ratchet wrenches. Wiha does also have great screwdrivers, also German. My favorite brands are Wiha, Wera, Gedore, Knipex, VBW, Milwaukee, Stanley, Dremel, Metabo, Bosch and Bahco. I am based in the Netherlands and so I have a prefered taste for European tools most of which are German. I do have more brands like Teng Tools and some other brands but mainly the ones I mentioned and all professional tools.
Due to toolchannels like these and the fuzz about the Milwaukee cordless tools I bought a tool combo kit of 6 tools and I like them. I like the brand and the variaty of tools they make. I might buy some handtools when needed from Milwaukee, expensive but I think they are good tools. I was never and still am not very much into USA made tools, there are exceptions off course. Most of the hand tools are better from European brands in my opinion.
Keep us informed, I like these kind of vids because I am a bit of a tool freak. I do own more then I really need.

Work as Industrial Controls Electrician. Been using the Wera (red/orange with yellow grip inserts handle) fully insulated screwdrivers for years. The precision tips are tough as nails. The grips work even if your hands are slightly oiled and the handle cleans up in a parts washer without falling apart. Best drivers I've ever used. Worth every penny.

I love my Wera screwdrivers! The handles feel great! The Rapidapter handle can be short, or when you push on the collar, it springs out and extends 3"-4". The quick change bit holder is good. They also make a thinner less bulky magnetic extending bit holder. Depending on what I'm doing, I have a couple of pouches that go in my camera kit, or gripping/rigging kit. I like the 2" bits and have a collection of slot edge, Phillips, hex, Torx, etc. No laser tips, but still good drivers. They're great in the shop too. KC Tool is great! They have Tool Of The Day deals as well as Black Friday deals. I also have the Felo Wooden handle sets. Gorgeous and functional. Friends love the Wera bottle openers I gave as Christmas presents. Love the Hazet opener, it's small and thin. Good for back pocket storage. Oh, yeah, Felo also makes a bit holder handle that flips out so it becomes a T handle. Great for cranking on/off hexes and such. You don't want your Speedrail flying off the car rig, when they make high speed turns. People tend to get angry.

One of the most comfortable and clean looking screw drivers I’ve owned. They’re a bit higher end on the price margin compared to Wera. I also love Matco I don’t love their prices, but I also don’t ever buy new from them. But they’re durable as all get out. And have one of the best designed handles. SK would be the third brand I use the most. Simple efficient and timeless. (I’m also just a bit partial being a life long SK fan)

I got some Japanese vessel screwdrivers. Small ones have the same type tip, big ones work like an impact driver. Good stuff

So you like the laser tip? Because they also make the hardened tip 'demolition' set. Either way, I'm getting the hex shaft for the bolster to put a wrench on. Not the round shaft. Unless you want the 'insulated' shaft for protection, they only come round.

Almost picked up this set until I watched project farms video comparing different screwdriver brands, so I ended up with a set of Wiha and I’ve been really impressed so far

Some competitors of wera tools are Landmann, Semak, and Ayani idk if its specifically for the screwdrivers but those are some of their top competitors when it comes to hand tools in general

I've been in I.T. for decades, I've worked on automated production lines, camera systems, all kinds of computers/network gear, alarm systems. Random off the wall things that pop here and there too. I've been on my back with some health issues, but I'm in a really good place. I'm not worried, my Wife has a good job and I stuff away savings in better times.
I've money to spend, and I can't really work right now. I thought it was time to think about rebuilding my so-called tool kit I've carried for a long time now. It was really tiny (best part), with a small bit driver, bits, and some other stuff. Plus I counted other things I'd keep in my backpack.
In the spirit of motivating myself, I put together a really top notch tool roll. It's heavy, but I feel I could roll up at a client site and do anything I'd be willing to do (I left out an ethernet crimper, I ain't terminating that cra@p anymore).
Doing all that I found KC Tool. So, I'm re-building my 3rd different tool kit (My Wife is cool with buying tools, they're an investment). I bought the set of screwdrivers above just because the price was good, and I saw another RUclipsr demonstrate how strong the grip was. I did that like 3 weeks after I got the chisel set for my electrical/plumbing pouch. I'm just so impressed, it's weird; you wouldn't know how cheap I was from this post, but I'm cheap.
    German tool addiction?

Hey Vince, can you do me a favor. Can you apply oil, gasoline or even haudraulic fluid to see how the handles react?
I'm in the aviation industry and finding a good set of screw drivers chem resistant free is hard to come by unless is snap-on.
If you would please le me know the results i would appreciate it.

Wera makes great control drivers so I would expect nothing less from the full size. For hex drivers check out MIP. They are used in the R/C car world but their tips stay super strong. They also have good nut drivers but only come in a few sizes.
