You can do it, (watch the whole thing that is) 63 clips 30 seconds or less from scrapers to blasting to gophers even an airplane ride and a 1600 HP Air Tractor www.google.com...
i really love the unique camera placements, you really give a total machine view of how it all works, and now i fully understand why the scrapers operate in pairs, and why the hoop is on the front, never did understand how it worked out pushing one then get left alone to fill yours . the hoop made sense when i saw how you lowered in onto the first one to help pull the second.
Awesome work! I built a runway once, but not that large - or involved (rock blasting). Still, enjoyed all the other facets of dirt moving. The outfit I worked for used D9s with cable or hydraulic pans and we had pushers at the ready when needed. Also did a lot of tree removal with a large 235 excavator that was fun. I also learned how to run a grader on that job. Perfect job for grader training!
Your Funny man. Just started watching your videos. I'm in the Army and my MOS is 12N horizontal construction engineer, we do alot of the same stuff. Love what you do on your channel!!!
Thanks for your service, hey has obama sold all the equipment, or are they replacing it? I see soldiers in the middle east have had there breakfast taken away to save money, what the hell?
Liked the "shot" shot along with everything else. When we were going wide open a shot would yield 90k tons and we'd have it crushed in 2 weeks regular as a clock ticking. Shoot by lunch/dinner every Friday or we'd be out by quitting time. Ran 2 drills mostly Furakawas?. This granite here will slice a tire too. Been there and made the booboo. But it was another fine job well done Mr. J
Even if it was established grass those heavy things would run it down to the dirt in no time, I think the best thing would be to have a watering system that could be turned on when they are gone just long enough to keep it damp and not dry out, I watered all day one time just enough to do just that to see what would happen and it worked very will no dust and hard as a rock
we use oil on county dirt roads here in nz. Helps keep it tight, dust down and water out. Grass is great on strips but wouldnt get the chance to ever establish without shutting strip for months.
Can u do a video on how these scrapers actually work? I'm so curious on how they do what they do step by step. I know the concept I just don't understand the reason for the rear engine and stuff like that. Thanks love your channel by the way
Too bad you don't have a water truck and a roller to finish your airport. It would have been so much better to see that airplane take off without all that dust. Kudos Jeff damn good job anyway.
So is this a private airstrip or a public municipal airstrip. Did they leave it as dirt or pave it? Also it was a good idea to lengthen the runway to the road but I hope they mark it as a displaced threshold for landing or the unaware are going to get a nasty surprise with the power lines.
Hell of a rock shot I bet that vibrated 20 miles away lol . If you put a pan near that shit I'm unsubbing I havent finished the vid yet lmao . Thanks for sharing I miss my years excavating.
Why didn't you use your scrapers to move the rock or why not crush it for the runway. We use scrapers to move rock bit without power, just let the D9 push us through onto till and then power away.
+The American Outdoorsman Oh bye the way I'm going to show how a reverseable fan works, so you can settle that argument you had with the gentleman about turning the blades 180

Hahaha no, not that I know of. Trump promised a 2% salary raise for us though.
We'll see
"I love the smell of diesel smoke and dust in the morning - smells like pancakes."

Well done. Thanks for the video.
57 E was good better seat
Great video Jeff. Is that a ECM360 Ingersoll drill?
another great job you guys!
Can you throw in a shot of the connection between the two pieces of scraper please?
Could you use those rocks for a snow fence
This is before the switchblade turbski?
Just watching methods and technique. That's how I learn!! .. Established 1953
Awesome video!
Oh no! We've stalled at 4 ft AGL.
That runway needs some grass on it, keep the propwash down!

it's a private field, the change gave them more length but more important it puts them straight with the wind
cool a airport
Just curious how many people you employed
Well everybody has the same DNA.............and no we don't live in Arkansas☻
Yes Sir thats how you move dirt 90 yds a minute or less nothing compares cept well a 687 lol .

How did you get the team ghilotti swag
He tried to put out a hit on me, so I squezzed him hard and now I'm on the payroll☻
Jpaydirt glen passed away
Sorry I didn't realize it would cut the tires. The last 300 ft you did brings them to the power wires on the toad
You probably know that was not a gopher, it's a whistle pig, or a squeak, or a Beldens ground squirrel. Great shooting sport in the spring time.
It took longer to transport the equip than to do that job lol
You get 2 thumbs up for every video and all your swimsuit babes...
swampratt36 f---ing google has hidden your comments for 3 months,
Won't one heavy rain ruin that?
+The American Outdoorsman Well it hasn't yet, the planes prop wash does the damage more than anything, oh along with those dam gophers
+The American Outdoorsman Oh bye the way I'm going to show how a reverseable fan works, so you can settle that argument you had with the gentleman about turning the blades 180
+jpaydirt So you can show who's right after all?
I feel by me that would erode like no other
The American Outdoorsman Sometimes people just have to see it to believe it,
+jpaydirt I believe so.
