In Viking tradition in order to become monarch you have to kill the current monarch. That, and Auslag literally stole her love, the throne, and pitted those sons against each other from the very beginning. Auslag shouldn’t have traipsed around rubbing it all in Lagertha’s face.

I like how people kinda reacted poorly to this. Lagertha, from the get go, was never nice nor she was reasonable. She was self centric, heedless, overly proud and obsessed with fame and glory. This is the woman who couldn't even accept staying at home when Ragnar first made voyage, this is the woman who aggrevated Ragnar's trial by cursing Earl Haraldssson just because she was underestimated for being a woman, this is the woman who wanted to be in Ragnar's fame, lost her earldom for how dumb she was about trusting people, and expected Ragnar to start a civil war, just for her own pride.
Not to mention, she probably got pregnant by Rollo and when Ragnar did the same with Aslaugh she simply left. The only difference is that Ragnar never knew about this.
While some think shooting her in the back was bad, just remember this... we are putting OUR sensibilities into the equation. What L did was poetic justice as far as SHE was concerned. To her, in that Era and mindset, Asshat ruined her life. Not by sleeping with R or even by getting pregnant. The fact Asshat chased him down, stayed and refused to be a strong woman and raise the child without barging into a marriage.... THAT is why L hated her.
The only people who supports lagertha are the pseudo feminists and rainbow people😂😂😂 how do you feel now BBC assassins creed is getting all the backlash from sane people?😂😂

Lagertha started a whole war that lasted years all so she could shoot her husbands mistress? But forgave her husband? Lagertha left Ragnar, she chose to leave her home. Remember that next time you watch this scene where she claims her home was stolen from her…
The actual scene is aslaug basically asking for an easy death, and her sons would not avenge. Lagertha showed her mercy and did as she asked. Thats why she smiles, because she knew she wasn’t a fighter and she just wanted to die peacefully with dignity, and lagertha respected that.
for those who r saying she shouldn’t have done that and that was the reason for all the problems between the brothers, Ragnar should have thought of that before having a child with aslaug!! so everything has a reason .

Ok but hear me out - I have seen on another thread a pretty popular opinion of this scene that I never saw before: Apparently Auslaug knew she would die eventually out there in exile, she didn't want a lesser lifestyle, and she did not want to fight. Therefore she asked Legartha in her own way to kill her - asking her in a way that still grants her her dignity. And Legartha understood. It's an interesting take.

My girl tapped that azz!! PS. Lathager knew that one Ragnar’s sons would kill her one day, the Seer told her
Lagertha acted like a coward treacherously attacking from behind an unarmed Queen who had already surrendered. Lagertha was so dumb, she ruined everything and caused the war between the sons of Ragnar, and sentenced herself. I think Lagertha and Aslaug had a silent agreement in this scene. Aslaug wanted Lagertha to kill her so her sons would seek revenge, and Lagertha killed Aslaug because she wasn't afraid of the consequences; she just wanted to take it all back. I think this scene is kind of badass for both of them.
Aslaug is my queen ❤️ Beautiful and regal. She had her flaws , Neglected by husband but never turned children against their father

Lagertha always knew she would kill Aslaug one day. Aslaug could see the future of some things. She had finished what was foretold of her. She knew her sons would avenge her, I think that's why she smiled. I wish Lagertha hadn't killed her like this, I think it made her look less than she was. But, I think she had Waite so long for her revenge and had been so publicly humiliated by Ragnar & Aslaug she had to publicly make her point.
Poor Lagertha couldn't accept the world😂. So she act stupidly and died stupidly
But it was fate and neither of them could escape it. Aslaug was supposed to die on this day and lagertha was meant to kill her and in turn she would be killed by a son of Ragnar who isn't Bjorn.

One of the most frustrating things about Vikings was that none of their “heroes” ever matched the way they hyped them up. When you ignore the fact that the writers so obviously want you to love her, you can see that Lagertha was actually pretty pathetic.

This was a petty move on her part. Literally no reason she had to kill her. But then again, who’s to say Aslaug wouldn’t have stirred up some shit and tried having Lagertha killed.
To me this whole series was about pettiness and stupidity, honestly. It’s pretty compelling, but every single character has shown at least a dozen stupid actions by the end of it, none to forgive. Aslaug herself basically adopted Bjorn’s firstborn to let it die and nobody gave a sh*t about it… This whole plot was a sh*tshow of stupidity, and somehow people still forget it and remember this scene where Lagherta actually have motives…
In Viking tradition in order to become monarch you have to kill the current monarch. That, and Auslag literally stole her love, the throne, and pitted those sons against each other from the very beginning. Auslag shouldn’t have traipsed around rubbing it all in Lagertha’s face.
She stole her man her throne and thought she could just walk out like this.
Didn't steal here, man , Ragnar actually stole here from here own kingdom . Then, he made her come to his kingdom, marry him so he could be a legit king .

Но согласитесь, что смерть этой рыжей крысы с лодкой стала самой долгожданной 😂 Лагерта - топ.
Yes absolutly right!!
The only people who supports lagertha are the pseudo feminists and rainbow people😂😂😂 how do you feel now BBC assassins creed is getting all the backlash from sane people?😂😂
That arrow sealed her fate right there

True but there's also no honor in stealing ones spouse. Aslaug made the first move, Lagertha responded after giving her many many years of life in her home with her husband.

Sounds reasonable. Never ever turn your back on me, even though I am failing at bearing more children for you, a thing foretold by völva which I always believe in what he says; because I'd murder your new spouse and start a war against your children.
Lagertha couldn’t give him children anymore, also back then as earl he said he can have more than 1 wife he wanted her to stay but she left on her own

Idk what you all think but was exactly what Aslaug asked Lagertha for. And Lagertha killed her there like this because that was Aslaugs last wish. Yes she hated Aslaug but she respected her last wish.
So unjustified to it was Ragnars decision to be with her and she was very nice to Lagertha even if she did have intentions of being Ragnars only wife
