Dean is honestly the best fictional character that's ever been created. I can honestly think of no other character that can top the accomplishments, depth, and backstory that he's got. And him talking to someone about people building churches, is part of what he says when God first reveals himself to them and Dean isn't fanboying out like Sam is and God calls him out on it and Dean calls him out for doing nothing while the world has gone to shit time and time again (what God responds with is some straight bullshit, but well...spoilers so...) You should watch the tribute for Dean called 'I never was' - its based off an argument he had with his mother when they get into it about her behavior and she tells him that she's more than just a mom and he's not a child and he simply replies 'I never was'.
One thing I love about Supernatural is that it shows the full range of human emotions - one minute you laugh and the next you cry. The show is obviously about the supernatural but at it's heart is the story of 2 brothers and the relationship they have with each other and those they meet along the way. They always find a way to keep fighting - even when all seems lost - and that has been an important message to the fandom. Jared in particular has been open about his own mental health struggles and they set up a foundation called Always Keep Fighting which raises funds through T-shirt sales, etc, with money being distributed between various charities.

I feel like I should explain the ending where he didn’t know his name basically in one episode a witch puts a spell on him where you forget little by little to the point of death And that’s why he didn’t know his name because he forgot it that episode it quite funny and sad at the same time because the spell makes you forget he ends up forgetting he’s a hunter and everything about the supernatural and you can see that he’s happy in comparison to how he is when he has his memory and the burden of looking after sammy

His father was abusive, of course he has a weight on his shoulders. Don't get me wrong, I love JDM but John was totally abusive to Dean. He taught him that nothing in his life matters, as long as Sam was safe, and every time something small or big happened to Sam, Dean would get blamed. So he blames himself for everything bad that happens. And Sam was alienated from his father, he was always gone and Dean had to raise him.
Jensen in a similar role on any other type of show would have shelves full of awards but because it's a sci-fi show his acting is overlooked. If he can't make you cry you do not have a heart.
This show has a bit of everything in it, and you can maybe see why it has such a dedicated fanbase. It's an underappreciated show in the wider entertainment world. It seems to make it work to have drama and comedy in the same episode. Making you laugh one moment then cry the next.

I think a lot of people just assume that the acting on a show like this would maybe not be to the level you might see in a Hollywood budget movie but Jensen is pretty remarkable in his ability to bring that real emotion to the screen. I like Jared, and he's been in some reasonably big movies before Supernatural, but Jensen is on another level.
Jensen and Jared are from Texas, so they do have southern Accents. The characters Sam and Dean are from Kansas. Also God is in this show. :) Dean was talking to Jeebus. At the end there btw Dean is losing his memory, forgetting who he is, it's a very emotional episode that makes me cry whenever he's trying to remember by repeating his name.
I found you through Supernatural, and I can say... If you want a big and supportive community... Supernatural is the way to go.... It's the best show I've ever watched. It takes risks, it takes itself serious at times, it rips in itself at other times. Basically every emotion in the human spectrum is covered and almost anything supernatural you can think of is covered... I think you should get into the show, maybe even get into episode reactions... Not to sound weird, but it will give you content for years to come
Bobby is a father to them because when he was little his dad put so much weight on his shoulders, the Angles name is Castile and Sam is his brother, he was talking to god when he said "They fight wars for you in your name." the angle was talking to him when he said "You think you don't deserve to be saved." and the girl who said "You carry all kinds of crap you don't have to." is Jo she was a friend who died in a fire this is a really emotional show and I think you need to watch it to get a better understanding. :)
So there is angels and there is Chuck who is god I think he was speaking to god at that point because lucifer and god were working things out kind of like family therapy because lucifer is gods son Supernatural is an emotional rollercoaster it’s a show where you can relate to each character in some sort of way sam and dean are probably the most complex characters I know and they are so real to me and yes supernatural is on its last season It’s a paranormal tv series I think

Jensen is an incredible actor. If interested, you should definitely check it out. It takes a couple episodes sometimes to get into it. I started in the beginning, it's a ride for sure. If you do decide to watch, find someone with the first season in dvd (every season is on Netflix, but they changed the music for the first season, doesn't have the same feel. After that, all the music is original to the show) good luck

I don't blame you for not rewatching S6 and S7 but I also don't rewatch S8 for the fact that I think Sam is so out of character this season. Like, he had no evidence that Dean was dead at the end of S7; he just kind of vanished. So the fact that he didn't look for Dean seems off. Also, that he just let Kevin disappear into the wind also seems off for his character. This is the only season that I don't like Sam and I can't bring myself to rewatch it.
