i miss how some games were tied together, i really enjoy things like Camus/Zeke/Sirius and even little details like Luthier and Merric knowing each other. props to Awakening for bringing that back too
Some interesting facts that I took from the artbook: - Berkut was a timid young boy, but after losing his father who was Rudolf's younger brother, his mother raised him strictly so he wouldn't be bullied by others for not having a father and to be the next Emperor. - Deen was a former Zofian soldier that engaged with a feudal lord's daughter. Returning from a mission, the feudal lord's mansion was attacked and his wife completely changed (I assume into a witch?), losing an eye in the battle. To kill his wife and the man that took his eye, he handled the lord's heirloon, the brave sword. (I assume the ones that did this were zofian nobles, that's why he is so upfront against Celica and her noble lineage). Some other facts: - Jedah is 147 years old and Sonya, his daughter is 25. How much virility this old man still has? - Celica is depicted with a ladyblade in her official art, although most people associate her with Beloved Zofia. Unfortunately as it is one of my fav weapons to make her wield, she isn't depicted with it in other games. Celica also can't wield Royal Blade in echoes, even though she fully fits the description to handle it. Maybe the developers just forgot about it, as she wields it in feh. There are a lot of storie that weren't told in-game, but these are the ones that interested me the most. Saber story is also interesting although a little similar to Deen. It would have been fun if there were quests in-game that were more related to the characters instead to only random npcs. Another fun fact is that up until this day, I still don't fully understand Rudolf's plan entirely lol

What does this usually signify in Fire Emblem games? Rudolf planned to overthrow Mila and Duma both, and unite Valentia under one human ruler. Getting his own soldiers, and Jedah, to go along with overthrowing Mila was easy. Getting them to go against Duma he deemed impossible; for that, and to defeat Jedah, he'd need Zofians. But they'd never follow him, so place Alm in Zofia and have Mycen raise him as somebody the Zofians could follow. Let Desaix (easily duped into being Rudolf's fall guy) eliminate the Zofian king, then provoke the Zofians into raising an army by picking a fight which he (Rudolf) would throw. Give Jedah and his followers free rein to exasperate Rigel's common people, so they'd acquiesce in the change. A madcap plan we might think, and risky, requiring him to get most of his own army killed without arousing suspicion. But where does Celica fit in? We know Rudolf knew she'd been born with Mila's mark, and deemed that important.
Another interesting fact about Atlas, in Heroes he wields an axe (in reference to his job as a woodcutter), but he can’t wield an axe in Garden or Echoes since there are no playable axe units.

@@Zandaruss There are inconsistencies in regards to the handedness of pretty much everyone involved including alm. Alm, gilliam, and marisa for example have switched hands in both artwork and unit models between their respective titles and in heroes. I'd say the tellius era made handedness more consistent due to making all models be using the same dominant hand. Alm is the only character post tellius era to be left handed and is probably the reason why he never appeared in engage unlike celica.
I loved so much Fire Emblem Ecohes! my favorite characters was Gray, and Mae and Boey, I'm so Glad I was Able to have Sonya on Celica team, at first I didn't know that if I choose the other path I ended without her

So he pretty much got one shotted the moment I recruited him 😭 Also it would be really awesome if IS released a harmonized Merric and Luthier alt as well as harmonized Conrad and Sirius for Fire Emblem Heroes. Massena (the NPC holding a similar position under Rudolf that Desaix had held under King Lima) and Desaix are namesakes of two of Napoleon's generals, after whom streets in Paris are named. (Massena's is a Boulevard whereas Desaix's is merely a Rue, but Desaix does have a Boulevard in New Orleans, according to Wikipedia.) There is no other sign of family surnames in Echoes, so "Rudolf" in Alm's Rigelian name could be a middle name (as it were), and Rudolf's "Rudolf" could be his own proper name. Or not.
just a quick correction about your Atlas point, he says “kyoudai” 兄弟 which is a general term for “siblings” (in fact, the kanji for the word is just the kanji for brother and sister together), and translations probably translated it as “brother and sister,” but if you’re referring to “multiple brothers” or “multiple sisters” you still use “kyoudai” versus just brother “ani” and just sister “ane”
7:28 this is even more embarrassing considering that Celica is also referenced in Smash via her map theme. Still not as bad as what they did to "Raquesis"

There's some incidental dialogue with Genny where she says she'd prefer to be with an older man. I think her and Saber are softly implied to be canon.

I've noticed that Alm is left handed. Is he the only left handed sword user and/ or Lord in the series?
No he is not.
Marisa from FE Sacred Stones is left handed too.
Gilliam from the same game is also left handed... but he use a lance.

Ani and Ane are used for older siblings, the term for younger siblings is Otouto for younger brother and Imouto for younger sister.
