What is the Best Thing About Every Fire Emblem Game?
I fully acknowledge my videos can sometimes be a bit critical of the Fire Emblem series, but make no mistake, I love our favorite little strategy series. And to express that love in the only way I can, RUclips videos, I decided to make one talking about the best thing in every single Fire Emblem game! Some might be super obvious, others are incredibly niche, but if you're looking for your daily dose of Fire Emblem positivity, don't look any further, you've found it!

The Hidden Lore of Stats in Fire Emblem: Three Houses
Просмотров 22 тыс.День назад
Storytelling and world building are Fire Emblem: Three Houses' bread and butter, so much so in fact that it has even come to the point where it has affected plenty of characters' stats and skill levels. This can easily go over your head however, it has certainly gone over mine, so I figured a dedicated look into the hidden lore of the world of Fódlan was in order! Footage may be courtesy of: Wo...
The Most Nonsensical Fire Emblem Character Ever
Просмотров 34 тыс.14 дней назад
Sometimes fan service goes a little too far... And I'm not talking about that other kind of fan service Fire Emblem tends to overdo, I'm pointing in the direction of Priam from Fire Emblem Awakening here. This guy is of course a reference to Ike, but in the process of referencing him, Intelligent Systems plays a dangerous game and creates an absolute mess of a character. Let's take a closer loo...
What is the Most Memorable Boss in Every Fire Emblem Game?
Просмотров 11 тыс.21 день назад
Bosses in Fire Emblem are easy to overlook. We rarely know much more about them than a few quotes and a minimal backstory before they’re surrounded by our army and finished, never to be mentioned again. But today, I wanna focus on the names that have stuck with me, or at least, did their best: who is the most memorable boss in every Fire Emblem game? CHAPTERS: 00:00 - Introduction 00:53 - Shado...
Hub Areas in Fire Emblem Are Great, Actually

Ready for something controversial? I'm actually a pretty big fan of hub areas as seen in the new Fire Emblem games. From Garreg Mach Monastery in Three Houses to the Somniel in Engage, I don't really have a problem with either and would even like to see more of them going forward. Now, before you bring out your pitchforks, allow me to explain... Footage may be courtesy of: World of Longplays Lo...
Who is the Best Unit in Every Fire Emblem Game?
Просмотров 48 тыс.Месяц назад
It is the question that can be discussed forever: who is the best or strongest unit is any given Fire Emblem game? Today, I wanna go past them all and share what I would consider the cream of the crop when it comes to playable characters. From early Paladins who just don't fall off to completely customizable Avatars, we see a variety of tropes and characters pop up, with surprisingly different ...
Fire Emblem and the Retainer Problem
Просмотров 29 тыс.Месяц назад
My friends, we have a problem. Fire Emblem has been getting a little too comfortable in giving us a boatload of royals, who all come with their own little friends known as retainers... And frankly, I'm getting a little tired of them. So, RUclipsr that I am, I decided to make a little video discussing my gripes with this recruitment system and how I would fix it! The Biggest Glow Ups in Fire Emblem EVER!

Fire Emblem has been around longer than most of you watching and with such a long history, it's no surprise characters would occasionally need a little make-over. And man... What is the Worst Thing About Every Fire Emblem Game?

I love Fire Emblem, as I suspect you do as well, but it's not perfect. Every single Fire Emblem game has it's flaws, that just comes with the territory, and today, I wanna zoom in on those flaws and point out the worst thing about every Fire Emblem game. From Shadow Dragon to Three Houses and Engage and even the spin-offs, no game is spared from my relentless criticism. Just kidding, still love...
Every Bizarre Enemy in Fire Emblem Ever
Просмотров 20 тыс.2 месяца назад
Not every Fire Emblem enemy is a Bandit or a Cavalier. Some enemies can only be summarized as complete monstrosities, with bizarre designs and lore that would usually feel really out of place, if it wasn't for Fire Emblem's dedication to the weird. I'm talking giant spiders, Medusa-like beings, a horde of zombies and... Pirates? Yeah, there are even bizarre Pirates in the Fire Emblem series, wh...

What is behind Dimitri's eyepatch? An eyehole? An eye? Probably one of those two, but where he got his eyepatch is a complete mystery. Until today. Because I am putting on my detective's hat and solving one of Fire Emblem Three Houses biggest mysteries: where did Dimitri Blaiddyd of Blue Lions fame get his iconic eyepatch? The answers can be found in Three Houses, Three Hopes and even developer...

Who is the Most Iconic Villain in Fire Emblem?
Просмотров 12 тыс.3 месяца назад
Fire Emblem has had some awesome villains throughout the course of the series, but I think it's fair to say none of them has been able to really solidify themselves as THE definitive face of villainy in the series, like for example Marth has for heroes. So I wanted to take a dive into every single villain or antagonist in the Fire Emblem series to figure out which of these is the most iconic! C...

The Brilliance of Lyn's Story in Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade
There is alot more to the Risen in Awakening. The reason why their faces look like masks because those are indeed masks. Also Risen with glowing red eyes are controlled by Grima which is why they are coordinated. Without Grima the eyes wouldnt glow red and they'd be going berserk.
I wanna comment about Engage because it's the game I played the most recently and it kinda gets a bit of a bad rep among the fans of the series. I've played most but not all Fire Emblem games but of the ones I have played Engage is the only one where every single character is usable from recruitment until the end of the game without putting them all into one overpowered class. With the proficiencies and starting classes characters come with they're all usable from the map you recruit them in until the end game. I know because I've done that. I can have a good time with just about anyone on my roster as long as I respect basic overall team composition. I also really dig how the ring inheritance system lets you build characters however you like them and fill in deficiencies wherever they may be. It's underrated in how replayable it is. Three Houses is a game I've kinda cooled on with how obsessed people have become towards it but also because my favorite thing about it isn't something that can ever really happen again. I loved how much the path people chose first shaped their impression of the world and characters on release before everyone had a chance to play all 4 routes and get the full picture of everyone in it. Having only 1 perspective that you picked based solely on first impressions having that shape your first impression of the world was really cool and also something that kinda had its moment and has now passed.
I always thought Anna wouldn't be taken seriously by batallions because she'd try to sell them armour and weapons instead of providing them, like I don't know a batallion leader?
This made me want Three Hopes even more tbh And Engage
Lol Marcus and Seth? Straight paladin play through are no fun. Priscilla or Raven for Blazing Blade. For Sacred Stones Naomi as a Ranger or Dart as a Berserker.
I feel personally you went way to soft on 3 houses 1- a meta that is very very flyer ange magic focused to the point it makes you question the point of going anything else on your units 2- the maps and the side objectives being so punishing to mounted and foot units to the point multiple flying units are literally mandatory 3- Honestly the battle animations really lack MFFF in comparsion to the GBA era, but this has been a problem on a lot of the 3d games since swapping
I kind of hope Jake reappears in the franchise someday. It really feels like Anna's personality has been boiled down to "somewhat shady merchant with an uncountable number of identical siblings," which I have nothing wrong with, but got stale rather quickly. Maybe they could reintroduce him as a member of the Askr army who has trained under Commander Anna in Heroes or something, if not have him reappear in a mainline title.
For Awakening I definitely agree with robin but i feel like their kid Morgan is a good honorable mention. I remember making morgan broken as hell whenever i replayed it
I'd also raise some points against Ivy being ranked as one of the best units, and I say that as an Ivy fan. She needs some Speed fixing in order to reliably double most enemies and her atrocious Luck growth means that, not only will she struggle to reliably hit foes, but also is quite vulnerable to incoming crits. When these weaknesses are touched up, she is absolutely a top tier combatant, but I'd actually argue that Hortensia is stronger than her. Hort has absurd Speed growth, meaning that she requires practically no help to remain able to double foes and she can hit far more reliably than her sister. Her staff utility is also vastly superior to Ivy's, her personal class allows to potentially get free charges and her personal skill extends the range of her staff usage. She lacks in bulk, but is more than capable of dodge tanking, and her Build stat isn't great, but that isn't really an issue for Tomes. Compare this to Ivy's unique skills: Single-minded only triggers on enemies she has already engaged, and only the last one. Meaning that Ivy failed to eliminate that unit during her last round of combat. This is a skill that you never want to actually make use of. Meanwhile, her class skill Grasping Void adds the enemy's Mag stat to her damage, but the extra damage is almost negligible, given that only Magic-based units will actually boost her damage and these units tend to have high Res anyway, rendering the point moot. I'd actually argue giving Hort the edge over Kagestu too, simply by virtue of her being a magic unit, compared to Kagetsu's physical. Pandreo is also a better unit than Kagetsu, simply because they are basically the same unit (absurd bases on join) but Pandreo hits on Res. Don't get me wrong, Kagetsu's is a busted unit. But if we're comparing them, any unit that performs as well as Kagetsu but hits on Res is just going to be better.
Counterpoint on Dimitri being the worst of the 3 Lords in 3 Houses: He gets access to Battalion Wrath and Battalion Vantage, meaning that he can do Wrath/Vantage strats at full health. He also has access to the War Master class and can make use of Quick Riposte (allowing him to double enemy units on Enemy Phase, synergizing with his BatWrath/Vantage combo. He is the ONLY unit in the game that can do this, because Quick Riposte requires the unit to be above 50% hp, which normally invalidates Wrath/Vantage combos. But since Dimitri only requires his Battalion be at under 50%hp, he can make use of all three skills. Pair this with the intrinsic +20% Crit that War Masters have and Dimitri can quite literally solo maps without getting touched, provided enemies don't hit outside his range (Bolting) or use Battalions. And even these shortcomings can be addressed with Counterattack Battalions (or the Chalice of Beginnings if you're using it) and his naturally high Cha growth. He's also a formidable boss-killer, as even if his first crit doesn't kill the boss, the follow up likely will, or at least drain one of its health bars. I'd say this allows him to comfortably contest Edelgard and ranks Claude as the worst Lord in that game.
So is there will be any fire emblem remake for Nintendo switch ?
Markus and Seth? I really didn't get the feeling they were good. They start as good units but as you go they become less relevant. Got much better results by investing in other units and focusing on them. Sacred Stones, it's hard not to mention Ephraim. He's absolutely broken, with great mobility and high damage.
The true worst thing about fe engage is the lack of amber (totally not a simp whatsoever)
A hub world is only truly bad if it impedes your progress in the game. Aesthetic aside, the Somniel does a great job of being out of your way for the most part. Garreg Mach is super helpful in terms of world building but impedes far too greatly from the core game with bad load times, inconvenient navigation, and doesn't offer near enough substance to justify the pause. That said, it absolutely crawled so the Somniel could run. I also don't hope that FE implementing hub worlds is at least smart in its use. Three Hopes did well in having it be an advancing military camp. Three Houses was smart since you were operating out of the "King of the Hill" location of Garreg Mach. But the different dimension of Fates and the floating resort of the Somniel just don't fit what FE is supposed to be imo.
Mustafa makes me sad, but I don't see any in character way he could've been spared.
as someone that constantly replays engage to make new builds, HARD AGREE! Skirmishes suck so much, every time I try one, I quit immediately. The effort is not worth the reward.
Ike has no decendant as he was happily married to Sorren
Not that it matters but didn’t diamante only have 1 retainer on his join map? Unless Jade is considered a retainer but she joins in the following chapter
If you ever want to see something powerful, Pandreo reclassed as a mage with the byleth ring. Jeeeessus.
Saphir cannot be 35. She looks like she's in her 60s at the youngest.
I really hope you do one of these for Fire Emblem Echoes
4:58 it’s pronounced Ca-moo if you’re curious, as in say Albert Camus(the french philosopher who wrote philosophical essays like “the myth of sisyphus” on nihilism).
Fates has very fun gameplay and Class accesebility And also Children Let me play matchnaker again.
Oh yeah as a completionnist the skirmishes of Engage infuriated me, it's a good thing I realized it early on so I could level up everyone before skirmishes became post game difficulty That made me go through the story at a snail's pace but in the end it was worth it
