Thank you for the tour! We are visiting in December and I’m excited to experience Christmas time in Mexico! 🎄 🇲🇽 I’d love to know what you recommend for best transportation to and from the airport. Many thanks!
Hola Traci, thanks for your note. The Hyatt Ziva PVR is a favorite resort of mine. As it is now the end of December 2022, you are already there. My apologies for the delay in responding to your comment. My wife is dealing with cancer and has undergone chemo, radiation, then COVID. My attention has been taking care of her. The good news is that she is making a recovery. I will start posting new videos, probably sometime in February. Thanks!
Hi traci, the Hyatt Ziva PVR is one of my favorite resorts. As it is now late December, I assume you have already arrived and are enjoying the resort. My apologies for the delay in responding to your comment. My wife is dealing with cancer and has undergone chemo, radiation, then COVID. My attention has been taking care of her. The good news is that she is making a recovery. I will start posting new videos, probably sometime in February. Thanks!
Hi Britton, thanks for your question re: activities. The general answer is "yes". The specific answer is, "it depends on which resort you are staying at". The variety and quality of activities vary greatly from resort to resort. Some even offer guided sightseeing tours outside the resort. Here are two examples. The Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta, which is one of my PV choices, lists activities on their web page, see: www.hyatt.com/en-US/hotel/mexico/hyatt-ziva-puerto-vallarta/pvrif/area-attractions. A favorite Cancun resort of mine is The Excellence with two locations, viz., the Riviera Maya and Playa Mujeres (both are great and each has advantages or preferences over the other). On their web site they publish available activities, see: www.excellenceresorts.com/cancun/excellence-riviera-cancun/all-day-activities-and-entertainment. Keep in mind that activities are subject to change as conditions change. Most resorts also publish a daily newsletter with a list of activities. Gracias por su carta y gracias por sintonizar mi canal de viajes de RUclips. Vuelve pronto.
One more thought, you probably won't see too many pool parties during pandemic times due to concern over social distancing. The Hyatt Ziva did offer a massive dinner buffet (staff served) and BBQ one evening with a Mexican theme, musicians, and characters in costume, all set up along side their pool with a beach and ocean view. Once we get past the pandemic, some features and activities at the resorts are likely to change. One really nice consequence of traveling to Mexico now is the resorts are not allowed to operate a full capacity, which means the resort, restaurants, and activities are not crowded. Most Mexico hotel are currently operating between 30% and 50% of capacity per government regulations.
I love Puerto Vallarta, especially the colonial charm of the city. Weather is delightful. Average high and low in November is 86 & 69; in December 82 & 64. July through September tend to have more rain. The summer is a bit humid, but, interestingly, September and October are very humid months. You'll love Puerto Vallarta too!
Good day Larry! First of all - thank you for your time you put towards telling people about great spots, hotels, etc.. :) me and my family really enjoy your videos :) we just came back from Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana (Dominican Republic) and thinking about trying either Hyatt Ziva in Puerto Vallarta or Los Cabos :) Is there any way you could add some description of the entertainment in the hotels and may be a little bit more of inside like restaurants, how the entire hotel looks, what kind of sport facilities hotels have? - it may be of an interest for your subscribers and other watchers :) Thank you for your work again and looking forward to your new videos :) have a good day!!
Hi Artem. Thanks you for your comment and taking the time to write. Yours is a great suggestion, viz., to go into more detail regarding entertainment, dining, activities, and such. It would, however, make for a very long video. In the Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta video you viewed, I tried to give an overview of the resort. Detailed information is available on the hotel's web site. (See: www.hyatt.com/en-US/hotel/mexico/hyatt-ziva-puerto-vallarta/pvrif?src=corp_lclb_gmb_seo_pvrif.) On the hotel's web site you can click to pages re: the hotel, rooms, activities, dining, special events, photos and reviews, and offers. Just about all resorts provide similar information on their respective web sites. I've also found things seem to change constantly during the pandemic. If you decide to visit Puerto Vallarta, the Hyatt Ziva is a good choice among many good choices in the area. Thanks again for tuning into my travel channel. All the best!
how is your experience of traveling during the pandemic? Once you arrived did you have to quarantine? What about the return back to the US do we need to quarantine as well?
I had a wonder time in Puerto Vallarta. I am impressed with the health and safety protocols practice in the resort areas of Mexico, including Puerto Vallarta. No quarantine for me upon my return home. For a detailed look at Puerto Vallarta travel in COVID-19 times, please see my RUclips video, "Puerto Vallarta Vacation, Tips for COVID-19". (See: ruclips.net/video/aalY1StUKxI/видео.html). Thanks. I hope yo enjoy your visit to PV as much as I enjoyed mine,
@@GetawayGuru Good to know, thanks! We love sun...but it looks like the mountains behind the resort, would prevent morning sun...as it rises behind....
lovely video 👍
This was great!
Great spot. I love PV, but haven’t been to this place. We’ll check it out on our next visit.
Hi Troy, thanks for your note. yes, Puerto Vallarta is a favorite of mine too. Many good hotels choices, including the Hyatt Ziva PV.

Is the main pool heated ?
Very good commentary. Is the Adult only pool open to all guests or strictly Club members?
Hi Mo, on my last visit the the Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta the adult pool was open to all adult guests, ages 18+. Thanks!
Did the resort have activities and things going on? They use to have theme nights, pool parties etc?

Is this a pretty shady beach resort? When does the sun hit the beach and for how long? thanks!
Hi DH, there are shady areas around the pools and public areas, but not a lot of shade areas right on the beach. BTW, the beach is gorgeous!

Hi Teri, thanks for your note. I love the Hyatt Ziva PV, especially the location and its beach.
