It was a magical night at the Hawaii Theatre as we got to relive past memories and listen to some great music.
Jake, Jon and Lopaka joined together to play some of the old tunes that many remember from the '90s. We also got to take a trip down memory lane as the group told the story of how they got together.

Jake, Jon, and Lopaka are simply awesome and so talented!!! I am a Maui Girl = Born and raised but moved to the East Coast after I graduated from the University and needed a job. Mahalo, thank you for your great talent and for giving me wonderful joy while listening to PURE HEART !!!! I listen to this a lot with a big smile! These songs remind me of home, Maui No Ka Oi!!!!

Jake was never my favorite ukulele, but brada can Jam. Full on Hawaiian, europa means a lot to me; and a grew up on Olinda road, ya my hanai family wrote da song🤙Mahalo. You 2 bradas solid as Jake ❤️💛💚💯
"Still got it" is an understatement. You guys are LEGENDS FOREVER. Jon's voice is permanently in my head. Choke ALOHA on stage here. It can't get better than this. GREAT COVER choices!

Wow, just so beautiful. I am Canadian and had the great fortune to stay on Maui for 6 months many years ago. I had visited Oahu and Maui many times before and loved it from my first visit but that was my first real chance to know Hawaii. I truly fell in love with it and it will always be my home in my heart.I would have loved to stay forever but unfortunately, as a Canadian, that was as long as I could legally stay and I had to return to Canada. I was truly sad to leave the spirit of the islands behind me. I have been able to visit a few times since then but only ever for a few weeks at a time which is not quite the same. Listening to the music of Hawaii keeps that deep feeling of Aloha alive in my heart. Thanks for sharing the music of Hawaii with the world HI*Sessions and spreading the spirit of Aloha to all people!

What an incredible music passion you guys are. A friend of mine mentioned about Jake being the best ukulele player in the Universe and he is not wrong at all. Wananavu! (meaning great in Fijian). I'm captivated by your versatility, spontaneity and abosulute talents as muscians but you amaze me with your humble brotherly souls that you converted me as a follower of your beautiful music. Just stumbled on to this. Boy, sure brought memories. First heard of Pure Hart (literally) when they where releasing their 1st album. I think it was on a Friday night inside Tower records. They were giving an in-store mini concert. I was blown then as I am now. Thanks for posting this. Great talent!!!

Aaawwwweee man, I saw Jake recently in Sacramento, CA and it made me google him because I thought he used to be a part of a band back in the day. I'm so glad I did. Watching this totally brought me back and is making me homesick! Thank you for the memories...

Oh man, I came to Hilo, Waiakea Uka on the Big Island in 1990 when I was 36. I loved these guys and am a bass player. I feel in love with all the local boys and ladies from Big Island and all the islands. I never knew Jake would be where he is now. But I am so impressed with Lopaka and Jon as well. I got to play my bass to this video because they had no bass player. I hope my 17 year old son got to enjoy how dad plays with such accomplished and magical musicians. This was a blessing. Thank you boys and the Lord.
