My wife and I along with other expats saw Na Leo Pilimehana in Los Angeles open for Keali’i Reichel. They were the highlight of the show…though Keali’i was good. I especially love the old songs. My favorite is “I Miss You My Hawaii” followed by “Flying with Angels”. Thanks for the show.

懐かしい。久しぶりに聴くと20代前半にハワイ行った珍道中がついこないだのように出てくる。
ひとりでダウンタウンにいったら中国人学生ばかりで日本人はいなかった。
お店に入ったら日本人なのに最初アンニョンハシムニカと言われ、ノーと答えたらニーハオと言われ、
さらにノーと言ったら面倒くさそにコンチーといわれた。
コンクリートの電柱だったのが道路ひとつ向うに行けば木の電柱に変わってて完全に道に迷った。ここどこ。黒人しかいない。
映画館らしきところで事件がありパトカーが止まってたときはドキドキした。
結局、道に迷いながらも遠回りしてバス乗り継いでワイキキに戻ってこれたらそこは日本人だらけ。
バス亭の看板も木の枝に付いてたりしたんで葉が茂って最初わからんかった。
夜中にホテルの1階でインジャンジョーがパチスロ打っててビックリ。インディアいるんだ。
アニメトムソーヤの冒険の記憶があったんでちょっとビビった。
