Note on axis Vs allies:
They're not just good Vs bad. They're also axis of evil Vs allies of evil.

We may disagree on who the good Vs bad guys are, but I think we'll agree on axis Vs allies.
Axis of Evil is like tax collector, the more conventional, obvious or well-known evil.

Note re Vlad:
I view Vlad's accusation of Hans similar to Bobby's accusation of Anatoly Karpov & Wesley's wanting Sergey to not be in the 2022 candidates - it's a good guy fighting another good guy. The real bad guy in each respective case is Magnus, Garry & Magnus again. Tsk tsk. It's sad Vlad/Bobby/Wesley didn't realise that Magnus/Garry/Magnus is far more evil than Hans/Anatoly/Hans. Wait, I think Bobby did. Not sure. I think Bobby hated Garry more than Anatoly, but maybe not by much more.

- Wesley So, not Fabiano Caruana, is the 3rd highest peak fide classical rated honest player. Fabi is the highest.
- Top 3 are Fabi, Levon, Wesley - all American. Also the 0th & 1st classical WFRCCs (resp Bobby & Wesley) are American.
- Also, Hans & Wesley consider Bobby greatest while Magnus & Hikaru consider Garry greatest. What a coincidence! God bless America! SayNoTo2900!

Thank you all for your encouragement and support. I am moving into a new area of my chess development working to win the game instead of taking a draw which I can do easily. With that attitude there will be bad days but that is life. Some players think exchanging a piece and then taking a prearranged draw on move 17 is okay but I don't want to be like them. I fought Fabi as hard as I could and I made a simple miscalculation. I am proud of the choice I made to fight. For everyone's benefit let me be clear that I have never taken a prearranged draw, I never will, and I have never played a bad game to help a friend. My bad games are a result of miscalculation under pressure. There are no free gifts in chess on this level (unless you are from certain countries that everyone knows about). You fight or you die. You have all been great in supporting me. Thank you. Moving on to the next fight.

@@buitragobb228 i don't think so. if magnus and david draw means magnus is silver, it means nepo is atleast 1.5points ahead of david and 1.0 point ahead of magnus. if magnus wins, it means there will be a tiebreak? i'm not sure. the draw means nepo wins gold automatically because nepo will still lead by 0.5point against magnus. but david beating magnus will make david win just silver and nepo will still win gold.
@@nowwhat9905 Actually, Nepo and Magnus tied for first, with Nepo taking the tiebreak (not sure what the tiebreak was). David was 0.5 pts behind them, so presumably if David had won, he would have taken the tiebreak over Nepo and won gold.
@@alecnilson6530 it doesn't make sense. if nepo and magnus are tied for 1st with one more game to play for magnus, then magnus wins gold after his game with david even with draw. his point will add 0.5 points. nepo should lead atleast 1.0 point against magnus before the game between magnus and david.
