Good video, I have been looking for a catch, clean, cook video! I need to try that spider rig trolling this year. I vacuum seal all my fish and a good way to get them dry is put them in a big salad spinner and you will have fairly dry fish in 30 seconds.
Got to love winter Mike you sound about as lethargic as the fish. Nice way of starting a Sunday morning watching another man do what I should be doing. Go Chiefs.
Awesome video, I was like a kid on Christmas morning when I saw this one come out! Think you could do one just like this for catfish??? Take care Mike!
What a pleasure it was to ride along with you on this trip. The cooking was great too. The only way it could have been better would be to wet a line and eat a filet. Thanks for the video.
I’ve got a bayou classic single basket fryer. The same fries about 1 minute and 30 seconds and 2 minutes 45 seconds on the fish. Any longer on either and they are to hard. That double fryer would be nice. Nice video Mike makes me want to go out and pull some crappie out of the freezer
Another great video Mike. You've got quite the setup there. Looks like we both do basically the same thing with the fillets and batter. I love Andy's batter. I'll have to try the blackened red fish, but I usually mix a half and half mixture of the yellow and Cajun batter just to give it little heat. We've still got all ice cover up here on Smithville lake and it's rotten ice, so I guess we're waiting for ice out.
Mike you are a cruel man putting ketchup on that fine looking fish. 😂 . What kind of oil do you use in your fish fryer and how often do you change it. Been thinking of getting one myself.
I just learned that the Perotti rod holders are still being made. If you are interested in a set, send me a private message and I will give you contact information where to order a set.

Here you go.
I sure did enjoy it Mike! Thanks for doing it. Where did you get that skinny filet knife blade for the r12?
Frankly, I can’t remember. I am sure I just ordered it through Amazon.
Good stuff
That’s the way I clean my crappie
Good video
Mike you are a cruel man putting ketchup on that fine looking fish. 😂 . What kind of oil do you use in your fish fryer and how often do you change it. Been thinking of getting one myself.
I just use the bulk frying oil from Sam’s. I don’t change it very often.😀
I am looking to upgrade my electronics and liking what I seen on your front deck. What are they?
Garmin 8612 and 12” Humminbird Solix.
Thanks for the videos Mike..what console mount are you using for double mount? Thx

Enjoyed watchinv. Do you reuse the oil or have to put new in on the cooker every time.
Reuse several times before replacing.
Awesome video! What speed do you troll those rigs?
Depends on conditions and water temp. In this video I was trolling as slow as possible. .2 to .3 to sitting still.
@@MikeBakerVideos thank you for the response!
Could you please tell me where you got the thin blade for the R12 and what brand is it? Thanks!
What kind of grease do you use for your cooker? I have the same one
Bulk frying oil from Sam’s.

I couldn't find a way to PM but I'm interested in the Peroti rod holders.
@@sevenbaskets go to my Facebook page, there is a link in the description of my video, and send me a pm from there.
What kind of battery is your screen Garmin unit hooked up to? Screen show 13.2 volts, so not a customary 12 volt battery?
Two 12 volt lithium hooked up in parallel.
@@MikeBakerVideosIs your trolling motor set up the same? I can never get a full day of trolling with my two parallel 12 volt lead acid batteries.
@@aProudOG I run my trolling motor on 3 agm Pro Guide batteries. 31 series.
How often do you have to change oil?
Not very often. Depends on use.
😅
