This was a fascinating interview! Great job Tim leading this conversation, loved the questions everyone asked. Damon was a really good guest and he was very candid. I liked that he actually answered questions and revealed the behind the scenes of what it is like working at Nintendo. It's also interesting to find out about the process of getting indies on Switch and it's encouraging that they're listening to feedback.
Tim did an amazing job hosting on this one! Keep it up.
Glad that indies have found a new home and ally in the Nintendo Switch.
Greg screwing around while Tim does the intro was hilarious. Im glad so many Indie's are finding a good home on the Switch. I just need to save up and get one of my own!
It's a great system. Hope you can get one.
Damon baker actually is my favourite new Nintendo host !
Lol i love tim's awkward transitions. Always just gets really loud and says "oh i love that!" Or "that is fantastic!".
MAN I love Damon... he's so dang cool!
This is great. He seems like a really cool guy. Nice snatch, KF.
So cool that you got him on the Gamescast. The Switch is a beautiful home for indies and Damon is awesome.
Sander Lelieveld well he WAS in town
Mr. Nintendo!!!
Great interview. I've never been a Nintendo fan in the past, but the indies (and zelda) on switch are why I bought it. The switch has realized all the potential the vita had.
Happy to see Darkest Dungeon, Steamworld Dig 2 and Thimbleweed Park getting physical releases on Switch, but there's still a host of titles that deserve a hard copy that have yet to see one like Snake Pass, Golf Story and Stardew Valley (for real, there's a physical version on other consoles, but not the Switch: the home of Stardew Valley).
Damon was a great guest! Mr. Nintendo himself!!
I’m about 10 minutes in but it’s crazy how much Jared petty is adding to this show. I was iffy on bringing him on but the last couple of games casts have really changed my mind
Thanks!
I know this is a side-note, but I wouldn’t mind seeing Nick on Gamescast more often. I like the once or twice a year he reviews a game. I was very impressed with his knowledge of Axiom Verge when he reviewed that.
Love what Jared brings to Kinda Funny. His passion and knowledge is great.
One small critique. Occasionally I think Jared is too close to the mic when not talking. You can hear someone breathing and I think it's Jared.
I'll check on that! Thanks!
Really good get Tim! Great show
For the love of God, please get "Into the breach" on the switch. Subset games makes the best rogue-likes
So cool to see Damon Baker on a KF show. Absolutely loving your content lately. Keep up the great work.
"I gotta stop looking like a thumb" hahaha
Just finished the video, was the game luminance they were talking about ?
What I want to know is when CleaverEndeavor Games is bring ULTIMATE CHICKEN HORSE to switch. This was a wonderful, informing, and fun interview.
This show is so short now.
Really great show, good job everyone and especially Tim!!!
This has probably been said 100 times but every time I looked up I thought Jeff Goldblum was on the podcast
To anyone who finds that underwear; we're going to need links.
God, I love this episode so much.
Next time there's a Nindies Showcase and you guys talk about it, can you refer to yourselves as "The itty bitty Nindie committee"?
Amazing interview with Damon Baker, with great questions about the internal process and work they do at Nintendo; but really loved Jared´s question about the origin of the "Nindies" name and the real and honest answer.
Hope you can get another interview with other Nintendo people, they are working really hard.
Just a tought, is Damon Baker the official english voice of Koizumi San???
And I tought this was too old, but #LetTimhost
Tim's cartoon model doesn't look like him anymore since he joined #TeamFat
Absolutely brilliant episode and one of the best guests ever :)
woah what big guest!!!
Hmmmmmmmm
There's no timestamps.
this guy's sound a little like Mark Hamill
Yeah, he does actually!
It’s terrifying how right you are
another 4 man show! love it!!!!!
Where can I get that Nintendo Jacket!???
Jared you rock man
I called that headlines like this would happen within 6mos-year when the launch lineup of the Switch was *very first* announced.
Idiots told me I was foolish for knowing that it would be good. But I said from the start that what we heard was not the only games coming for the year and that Nintendo would have a steady cadence of games. Idiots didn't believe it, but I was right and called it.
Big Cow Productions should had saved some of those games for this year, looking kinda dry right now
bit short this week but i'll allow it lol
let TIM (always) HOST!!!!
They didn't ask the most important question...
Where does Nintendo value indies in compassion to AAA third party games but more importantly with time do they worry that the Switch will end up being considered just a Nintendo 1st party and Indie machine?
That should have been asked...
my god does this man love saying "Nintendo Switch." Not "Switch," "Nintendo Switch."
Every...time.
I like humble, fat and jolly tim. Let the man grow! Stay sexy Tim
This was so interesting.
Timestamps?
He sounds like Nick.
lol Nintendo didn't give a f*ck about indies back in 2014 and Nintendo fans called ps4 indiestation. but look now, indies are the best thing ever XD
"be more particular" - explain Vroom?
Please get Jared to stop saying Doki Doki
pantscheese why?
Whatttt?? Its the best
Doki Doki is his catchphrase and it fits hit perfectly. That's like telling one of the guys to stop saying "butthole" or "a baker's dozen" or another popular catchphrase.
Having my finger on the pulse of news, I noticed much of the things Daemon discussed parroted exactly what he’s previously said in interviews at GDC.
Really no timestamps
uh oh, a Nintendo big wig is on... mind your p's and q's everyone.
Well, that was fucking boring.
Welcome to xbox..
I just want to play the snes classics on my switch please.
*La Croix is gross*
This guy looks like mark ruffalo
I like jared but i just don’t think he blends well with kindafunny
Hery Torres yea, Whitta would of been dope or at least Andy.
Hery Torres I respectfully disagree
Alexi Kosmas I think he fits in fine. None of these guy's are funny anyway.
I'm definitely having fun. I'm also definitely not funny.
I miss a playstation only podcast. That really did die when Colin left. Sad..
That One Andrew why would you only want PlayStation? Lol
They have the PSVR show which can be seen as a successor to PS I Love you XOXO. (and there aren't many other PSVR shows on youtube or twitch) Colin also has it's own gaming podcast which is mostly playstation related.
I mean they successfully had a Playstation only podcast for years and years. Lots of people would like a playstation only podcast along with the normal KindaFunny Gamescast.
I agree. PS is the only console I game on but I’ll still listen nonetheless. Wishful thinking I guess
+That One Andrew i don't understand this all "it's all about us and Playstation", but finally there is a place also for Nintendo and Xbox which for me is a good thing but they are still covering PS related news so don't worry.
Good guest but not a very interesting episode. I prefer the chat about games over the chat about a company.
Another Gamecast devoted to Nintendo... Sigh... 😪
Why u mad tho?
Sempuukyaku just not a fan of Tim's constant Switch and Nintendo focus. I don't hate it but a 720p console in 2018 is not that great. On a 4K screen it doesn't look good. As a handheld it is great but Nintendo don't like being categorised as that so in comparison to an PS4 Pro or XboxOneX it does not impress me. Also, my PC is awesome lol!!! Zelda and Mario are fun but not hooking me in. Still, I understand it has a big fanbase but I used to like Tim as a presenter but all he seems to report on is Nintendo. 😐
Thats kinda boring.
PazyPlayz
I find it funny that people are mad about this.
I have literally never seen that reaction from the other side when they bring on big people from Playstation. So it is just Microsoft and Nintendo that is no go?
As far as I can see 3 of the last 20 or so have been devoted to Nintendo, and one of those three is just the E3 predictions. If you truly sigh at such a ratio, I just feel sorry for you as a gamer. Jeez.
