      that would be correct for lim x→a f(x)^(gx) = e^[(f(x)-1)(g(x))]
      here, the LHS is lim x→a [(1+f(x))^g(x)], so it becomes e^[(1+f(x)-1)(g(x))] = e^[f(x)g(x)]
