I watch many "Trade" related videos because it presents the picture of what makes America great! Your channel reinforces that picture! I look forward to viewing your gift to America every week. I'm convinced that producing a great video is an Art Form ... some have it and some don't ... Rock On!
I'm new at doing this but I'll learn by watching the experts
I lost water coming from my pitless well. Your videos helped me with everything. My pump was dated 1992! After replacing it and no water still, I found out it was a bad underground wire from the house to the well casing. Anyways, thank you for the videos. It helped tremendously
Never fails when you take time off, you always get the worst job when you come back. Y’all handled it well. Be Safe!
Ha! It’s great that well drilling became a family outing with the cool doggo. 👍🏻
Cicadas are crazy loud !
strange sounding cicadas
They're above ground and in heat. My neighborhood has been roaring for the past week.
I grew up in the PNW on a late 70's Ingersol Rand TH60 with a steel casing hammer mounted on an International Loadstar 5000. It is interesting to see different practices from another part of the country.😊
I know of a guy that pulled a no start, commercial vehicle out of the road with a set of jumper cables 😂 it was a pinch situation ofcourse, but it worked somehow!
In some pinch situations it seems you can make a lot work on hope and prayers and McGyver you out of there. But do not try the same in an everyday situation, it sure wopn´t work at all.
Well, you guys do good work. Up here in MI, we had several years ago, a driller while on a job, blow the truck engine. They had to bring in a crane to pull the engine. The rig was stuck there for 2 weeks. Front bumper 5 foot in the air.
Ya you never Really know what you will get into as a Driller . Takes tons and tons of personal money to help others.
I knew the color of your rig. used your rig to adjust the new t.v color
I like the way you look into the camera lens. Why? Because when you look into the lens...it like you are talking directly to your viewers. Good job!
Wish I could have had those quartz rocks, would be nice to cut and polish them
You guys should look into communication gear like sonetics. I got them for our crew and it's so much nicer for communicating.
Or 3M peltor sets. The WS range are particularly useful as they can bluetooh link to your phone
Couldn't see the drop until you stepped in it. That was deep. Nice job.
Dad, Mike, and myself.
Put a sweatshirt over the strap when you pull. It makse sure they dont go wild they will tend to go straight down
So this winter, add some lights to the back side of that control panel, make life easier to work back there, also may be worth buying a few packs of “GRIP LOC TIES” along with some tags that you can zip tie to all the hoses , anywhere there are a few that can be dificult to identify, especially when your frustrated, having trouble, homeowner standing over your shoulder., it also makes it nice when you need to pull a lot of hoses apart and replace them quickly., just my two cents ., but one thing I highly recommend is keeping a few sizes of grip loc ties on that rig.. also, a few cans of brake clean is huge to help find leaks, and clean up any fluid..
Everything is soooo different with that rig to what i used here in Sweden, when i was working for a drill company. 👍 We used a Nemek drill rig, on tracks, that is able to raise and tilt the mast in any direction. And with a 20 bar (290 psi) air compressor, powered with a CAT C13, just screaming wide open! (To be honest, that air compressor was too small.) But it makes me happy to see someone being proud of what they are doing! Good work, fellas!
thanks phillip, great video. greetings from uk 👍
It's never easy
Thank you for all the great information can tell you how much it helps me and the rest of my family
Yeah, this is good stuff for me. I just watch you drill two wells back-to-back. I need to sleep now...👍
Crazy I used to drill with the exact same rig 20 years ago when I was in my early 20s. We used steel casing up here in northern Minnesota due to code/boulders/bed rock. Subbed!
@@networkguy3152 steel casing will be in my next video. It was a nightmare job!
Awsome job! First time I've seen rotary drilling. I'd love to meet you someday!
I started working for a 3rd generation well driller who still had a couple cable machines, talked of a rope machine where you had to turn the rope every 3rd hit. And it was the farmers responsibility with his team of horses to move the rig to next job. A long way from the State of the art Chicago Pneumatic well drills we used. His brother used Ingersol rand drills. The CPs in my opinion were superior
Good feeling when hitting big water Thanks
is that the sound of Locusts? incredible. 2 broods came out this year.
Its nice to see the rig doing so well.
Good job and wow on the 50GPM
Good info on the real world of putting wells in!!
Always wondered about well digging. Thanks for posting. Enjoyed the divining I saw on another post even though I've seen it done, never saw results like posted. Thanks again.
OOh you broke the clothes in ...that must have been quite a scarey time when the ground started disappearing under the rig, theres no wonder its a drilll to remember
Thanks for sharing.
Geweldig gedaan het is echt een top job 👍Groetjes van uit Holland 👋🏼🇳🇱
Man they did an amazing job with the refurb on the smeal!
YOU are Pumped UP, and you got the crew all excited to be back doing what you love !!!
Good to see ! You inspire young men to get a trade that is needed by their community, Then the rewards will come.
Providing a needed service better than others will do is an extremely fine thing that gets a real man all pumped up and makes you want to strut a bit !! You deserve it, Strut !!
It always going to be hard
i drilled for several years a nd when i saw the video of that new bean 4 cyl pump running, i thought to myself he's pumping way to much water for drilling the overburden, he's going to washout
@H2O Mechanic My suggestion is you guys invest in some pig mats to place under the hydraulic valves for the next six months at each drilling site until you find all the leaks.
It'll help you find leaks faster while under load/working conditions.
Not to mention that it will clean up a lot faster without spilling oil everywhere you don´t want it as it stays contained in the mats.
We use steel casing up here in New England and don't have that issue when we hit a lot of water! FYI
You are the best!!!
I have a well being redone, new pump, another 6 foot added on the casing in order to bring it above ground level and replace the water pipe coming into our house. My house is built on a steep hill with flat 15 foot backyard which the well is located. My problem is water is running out of the well casing unless I am using water. Is there anything I can do to stop the water. I would like to add a dry patio.
I have alot of respect for what you do. be safe brother
You guys are pros!
Look at Yankum ropes for some great tow straps.
Hey dude u wanna put window screen over that 1/4 inch mesh or you will have more hornets building under the cabin ...but looking awesome
We used 6 5/8 steel casing, welded
try the "Yankem" Ropes if you ever have problems, nice job!
You need some Yankum ropes and soft shackles.
Look into midland radio’s. We absolutely love them
Yankum ropes can help with the pulling straps
I'm also not a big Pex fan in certain applications. All I hear is how good pex is until it breaks and decouples.
Just wondering if you guys have heard about Radon in houses being a bigger issue when the well is drilled near the foundation of the house? Up here in Canada, the government is saying so.
Need water? Call Hensley. Were fast and friendly.
Very good.
So what was the GPM of the well, sorry was not able to understand that .
thanks
You got bugs making a racket in the background? I've read they got a cicada hatching event .
Hey guys, once you hit water how do you Guage how many gpm the well is producing? Love the channel you helped me a while back with a question and also got some parts from you. Thanks.
great show thanks
YOU HIT 100K!
Wow I love wach your videos
Very cool
Tough job handled well by professional people. Love the content. Long time viewer. Got a question from Manahawkin NJ. I have a well. Township ran city water but were able to keep our wells for laws etc. Went to have mine serviced because it wasn't working. Repair company said that because of a casing leak sand was washed into the well and is keeping the pump from being pulled up. How else can this be pulled out and restarted? Thanks so much JT
"lead free" chinesium brass alloy,
Looks like a good day to break in new clothes! 😁
Never know what you'll find under the ground...
The DOT love those hot shot trucks. Typically they are a one man shop and it makes it difficult to maintain the vehicle. Also they don’t know their worth and take loads to cover that week’s expenses.
Is there a video showing how you know the gpm the well is producing. Found this site a few months ago the water well process is quite interesting.
He does it by experience watching the flow out of the well head. Probably a good estimate.
Good job man
Love these H2O Mechanic videos! I wonder how he can estimate the flow rates just by looking..
They make 1 in pex and it been being used since the 60s it doesn't fail unlike pvc
Nice job guys
That will teach you to wear new cloths on a shake down drilling. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Cool 😎
Can you come to Hedgesville WV? Really enjoy your videos.
Are work over crane is mounted on a 1 1/2 ton truck and that’s all that truck does is always busy doing pulling wells and doing service work
We don't expect you to film when it is dangerous. No apologynecessary.
You ever pan the tailings for gold?
Need to go with gmrs handheld and mobiles for everybody you can get a license from FCC for $35 no written test fill out the paperwork online and get your license and you can operate several radios off of one license . I have my Amateur ham license and my GMRS license also.
I'm just curious, Have you ever encounter with the deep water blow out(artesian well)
Only wish I was closer to test out Virginia drilling. It's much different up here in the Sandhills of Nebraska. lol Ever think about going with business band radio instead of CB?
Great job, cant wait to next video
Would coral of pipe release the stress on the pipe?
Good job man. I enjoy your videos.
How do you "level" the rig or "plumb" the "Tower"?
Great video! I have a question, how do you know how many gallons per minute flow when you do hit water! Is it by eye or is there a gauge of some sort?
41:10 in video. Your rig is missing something,, a piece of 14 inch or 20 inch schedule 80 pipe about 4 ft long.. normally gets pressed into the ground around the top of where you're drilling so that when you start your hole it doesn't blow out a 3 ft cavity.. I've seen well drilling videos and probably 22 different countries.. you're the first rig that doesn't use one of those. To direct the material coming out of your hole.. another thing that I would ask about. Most of the wells that you're drilling are in North Carolina.. but your main shop is 1 mile north on the North Carolina border, in Virginia on interstate 15,, the only reason I question that is because I live in Wisconsin. If a well driller would come over here from Minnesota. Or Michigan or Illinois.. the point that I am getting to is that if the well driller here in Wisconsin wants to come and drill a well depending on where it is they only needs like one permit.. a driller coming from a different state. Has to jump through a lot more hoops so that they know the ins and outs of what you can and can't do in this state.. so being that you're out of Virginia and you're doing jobs in North Carolina doesn't complicate the paperwork..
It's extremely complicated to abide by both state regulations and each different county has different rules.
What your talking about is called a diverter, it's basically a T that carries away the well cuttings. In theory it would help, but it still can blow out. We've lifted the earth from 15-18ft deep in a 30ft circle before. It's scary & can flip a Machine over. Once the ground lifts, you must add water or slow penetration rate .
Got a quick question approximately given medium conditions what would be the charge for a 6-in well drilled to 500 ft I'm curious if the people in this area are screwing us
want to push 4" PVC using water pressure down 100' for a well in Florida. question can this be done??
Spent 40 years in the offshore oil drill business. The last 20 years in deep and ultra deep water. Think about running 250' of 350#/ft 30" surface casing and not tagging the seabed until you run about 4500' for drillpipe. Other than that not much difference.
Let's go people................ smash that 'like button' and 'subscribe button'.
Sounds like the roar of cicadas in the background. They are deafening in North West Georgia.
That broken fitting looks like they MIGHT be parking on it??
you can really hear the cicadas in the background sounds like an spaceship
When you finish that job how much did I would like to know what the total cost is total job cost thank you even if you put the pump in and everything
Why don't you bury pex? Just asking from unfamiliarity, I know PVC super well, pex wasn't something I worked with much growing up in irrigation work. Was all copper, PVC, and poly pipe, so pex seems super bomber to me and I know they put 1" pex in for the feed from the well to my house when the house was built and I didn't even think twice about it.
I am subbed to you already.
I hope you had a safety rope when you went into the hole!
I was holding the winch hook
I can’t wait for the cicadas to go back underground. They are diving me insane.
Can you tell us why hitting a spring is bad? Being as you drilling for water, the uninformed would think that was good. Glad to see you hit great water.
Injecting air in the ground to cut a hole, air follows the spring & blows out the surrounding ground as it did here. Typically springs are surface water, & have bacteria.
what was in the aqua clean container? you showed a clear tube with beads flowing through it. what is it and its purpose?
Drill foam.
You have to do something about your sound quality. For those of us who are interested in what you do, it is really hard to know what is going on at times 😢
Hey Buddy If you don't mind can you tell me the average drilling feet per hour with this machinery
