@@geoffwood6044 First, for a variety of reasons, no professional is ever going to publicly recommend anyone take veterinary medications. Actually the medication Ivermectin is the same in the human and animal forms. The only difference, other than it's carrier, is that the human form is the form that has been reviewed and approved by the FDA for humans ( Animal versions have however been FDA approved for certain uses in animals). It is used, in it's respective forms, on and off label by professionals and laymen, for both humans and animal diseases of various types. The human pills probably also have less impurities, even if those that the animal versions contain are common to our pharmaceutical and food industry and generally considered safe individually by the FDA for people in different roles. I'd say they are a sight less dangerous than whats in the V. Those who disagree are welcome to look up all the ingredients in the animal forms and track down their safety profiles. I agree with you, the use of the "horse paste" phrase is just to belittle those who use the human form and those who source Ivermectin in what is sometimes the only way that is open to them currently. Many pharmacies, like CVS will not even fill prescriptions. Studies like this may open the door to mainstream use of Ivermectin......or provide light that it is ineffective. The world is in dire need of something that is proven to work when we actually get sick. It needs to be proven or ruled out. Not decided by dictate of the CDC and FDA.

If you're talking about early treatment and you're asking someone to contact you with covid diagnosis....you're already wasting quite a few days. how long before they can receive your treatment? it's a nice effort but already from the start...it can be faulty because of time wasted before treatment. Canada did the same thing....and it was doomed for failure because people weren't getting treatment until patients were already recovering and/or covid already caused hospitalization and at that point it's a whole different protocol.

According to Dr. Pierre Kory early treatment is within the first 10 days. After giving his patients Ivermectin they all got better. But our government is not allowing the sale of ivermectin so desperate people are taking ivermectin for horses which is not the same obviously and getting very sick..so the media runs with saying Ivermectin is a horse dewormer and it is but Dr Pierre Kory has many clinical trials on Ivermectin for humans!!!

Their government doesn't work for corporate - compared to the west, they are frighteningly efficient at getting a job done and moving forward. Too bad they're moving forward so quickly that they think they can actually outpace a disease which can exist in animal reservoirs. Would be great if one day people will calm down and just prescribe normal treatment for this, like they've been doing for decades. Treat the symptoms, like inflammation and respitory constriction, while the immune system fights off the disease

However ... given the multi-faceted nature of many successful anti-viral treatments (e.g., HIV), why are we seeking to test these drugs as one-off 'stand alone' fixes? Isn't it possible that many of them might address different facets of the disease and will therefore need to be used synergistically?

  • @JuanHernandez-bd1un

I dont know if you have plan to try Isoprinosine for Covid 19. It is an old antiviral drug cheap and indicated for a wide range of human viral diseases. Current antiviral drug for Covid 19 are very expensive and patient in third world country can rarely afford it. Other resort to taking animal antiparasitic drug which could be toxic to human. If you can make a trial on this medicine it will be a big help to people in poor countries.
