Great to see you back in the Ami.
Have been thinking. The government is proposing they fine car manufacturers if they don't sell a certain quota of EV's. Would it make sense for Citroen and Fiat to sell their Ami's/Topolino's at close to cost price to meet that quota?
I feel that they are in danger of overpricing the Ami/Topolino if they get it to near the £10k mark - bearing in mind a Fiat Panda mild hybrid can be had OTR for £14,750 and the Panda is not limited to 28mph and 47 miles range.
    Makes sense to me.

      It's not a car so doesn't count.

@@tivvy-xf4kz Maybe they could get Starmer to class it as a car. He has been known to change the rules when even the mildest of breezes hit his backside. 🤣

@@rayro999 Well when the road tax kicks in it will be the same as a car at £190. Because quads have 4 wheels from a road tax point of view they lumped them in the car bracket so the 28 mph moped will pay as much as a large ev and it will probably also kill them stone dead at a time when they want us to transition to ev's??

Great stuff it will be interesting to see how you get on in the winter. I have used these a lot as an ex truck driver and if put on a timer the cab was lovely and toasty first thing with no scraping of screens required.
I might be tempted to keep it simple with the leisure battery wired to a solar panel on the roof just for charging the leisure battery. Should get enough sun even in the winter but I suspect the leisure battery will last for ages anyway without charging.
This is an expensive genuine Webasto but the Chinese clones are only app £100. You can also get them as an "all in one" setup as well as all the separate components as yours is.
That might be more compact/easier to install.
Just think if you insulated the roof it wouldn't take much to warm it up.

Always been a fan of the Ami! Great video. Are you planning on getting a different mount for the screen? It's wobbling quite a bit.

I just got a 23 plate delivery mileage Ami for £5k from Autotrader! Getting it ready to be plastidipped, changing the alloys to something sporty, very cool number plate to match the speed of the car and definitely upgrading the seat cushions. My other car is a Mini Electric hatch with 145 miles range.
