Can you please tell us what is the minimum continuity resistance for a down conductor? For example I have used steel of the column as the down conductor and I want to test the continuity from the top floor steel to the cable/conductor that is going to the earth rod, what should be the continuity resistance
60 feet hight recommended down conductor size in mm for lighting arrestors
Do you have instructions for lightning protection of a sailboat (fibreglass hull, lead filled keel, aluminum mast)? Thank you
Hi Fernando,
In this video we have installed the ESE Arrester along with the Mast.

Hi Fahad,
There is no specific resistance value. The overall resistance value should be less then 10 ohms.
@@AxisElectrical is flexible cupper conductor suitable for as down conductor.
@@awaisahmed4322 yes you can. Normally the conductor size is single core flexible 70Sqmm.
At ground floor( from wall to pit) is insulation needed behind GI Strip or can be installed without insulation?
Yes, Utkarsh insulation is needed for safety purposes and identifying down conductors.
Insulation in green.
@@AxisElectrical At ground is it needed? Or only on wall?
@@utkarsh329 It will be connected to the nearby grid, if not then to the Earth Pit directly.
