There should always be a single, integrated grounding system for all purposes (lightning protection, power supply, telecommunications equipment, etc). EN 62305-3 standard specifies that the grounding resistance should be less than or equal to 10 ohms. Here, the entire grounding system is always measured. If the grounding resistance is then higher than 10 ohms, additional depth grounding electrodes can be installed until the desired resistance is reached.
