Actually i think this song is easier play from drop tuning, why to make already hard things even harder. because regardless of the pickup model the sound will change due to the distance from the bridge. bridge pickup sounds more trebly because it is close to the bridge and picks up the faster vibrations, but the neck pickup is too far away from the bridge to pick up the vibrations the same way, which makes the neck pickup have the warmer sound. does that clear it up?

How necessary do you believe the cutaways are? I'm considering getting a custom ESP with the SV/Alexi body shape, but i feel like i get the cutaways It'll be too much like the Alexi models. Also since i only have 1 guitar at the moment, and it has a floyd rose, I dont think my custom would have a floyd, despite the fact that i really want one. my band wants to play in drop tunings. Any advice?
Your picking and fingering is excellent, but, stylistically, you're not playing to your potential. Your vibrato and bends are...well...terrible. It's one of those things you more just have to do a whole lot before it just hits you one day, but having solid & consistent vibrato, bends, and floyd use (in the case of CoB-style stuff) is what really convinces people you're an experienced player. Not that you aren't playing excellently as is, but you could make it better yet.
maybe you can start with easier songs....like Are u dead yet' or maybe Bloddrunk, i learnt both in about 2-3 weeks quite good, and now I'm trying to do better the solos...anyway practice practice practice practice practice practice practice practice practice practice practice practice practice practice practice and a good book (Stetina system is the best 4 me)....
Really nice 'n clean, would say about 98% correct :P 1% for some minor differences from the original, there's no rule for beeing excactly as Alexi, though it's nice :P The last 1% is because I think you should improve on the whammy bar use, though this vid is 1 y/o and I think you have improved, why don't you post a new one?
Good job man! :) Small thing tho, I would advise trying to minimize the movement of your fretting fingers when playing. Like, you lift yur fingers very high off the fretboard when ur playing the solos and interludes. Try to minimize the movement and that increases speed. Good job 5/5
I wonder why does he do a pinch harmonic on 1st fret though. Sounds like 4th string 1st fret to me. I think Alexi did a pinch harmonic on 6th fret on 5th string in Japan. Same note, should be easier to do. Great cover though, 5/5.

I think if anything happened to Alexi that CoB probablly wouldn't keep playing. Alexi is one of the biggest reasons for CoB's success not only with his guitar but his interviews too. But this guy is amazing.

I highly doubt you are doing it right. And besides, most three string sweeps aren't too hard. Check out Beyond the Dark Sun by Wintersun. That's mostly three string sweeps. Not an easy one.

Apparently you do play CoB. Your pretty badass. My friend Aaron (Also known as guitarfreak on here)is the only good guitar player I know personally, so in comparison, your pretty friggin awesome.
Your technique on single note leads is weird because you constantly lift your index finger. usually that finger is there to help you stay in position, but it looks like you manage without it.
the tuning is DGCFAD Wiich is mostly the tuning bodom plays in but on their are you dead yet album most of the songs are in drop C tuning (CGCFAD) NICE SHIT DUDE man I need to learn how to sweep better

I have this problem with my dxmg, the volume knob is so close, I often tap it while playing and turn it down just a tad which if its not at full volume the sustain then suffers.
this is very nice, i cant play shit hehee but i bet u can do a better job on the solo, i know it is one of the hardest solos from COB, but i think u have the skillz to do it

No, the hz is the one that comes standard in his models, but its not the one he uses. he also has a custom AB system installed i belive.
