I will definitely come back to this video in a few months when my baby is a little older. When my first two children (who are teens) were babies, I only gave them rice cereal and baby food, because that is what they told me to do, and they grew up eating hardly anything good for them (very picky eaters, which since they have slightly outgrown). I have been planning on giving my baby foods like what you have here. Really awesome. These look great!!
Thank you for posting this video! My baby have allergic to eggs as well and it’s hard to think of an easy recipe for my baby without the eggs as ingredients. Please post more recipes and how you prep because it helped me so much. I felt inspired by your videos. Thank you!
This was such a great and helpful video! My little guy will be turning 9 months on the 15th and I’ve just been feeding him purées since he was 6 months because as a first time mom, BLW terrified me and I didn’t feel ready. I’m still nervous but I feel comfortable with the idea of doing a mix of both purées and blw. Thank you so much for sharing!
Thank you for the ideas! I have a 9 mo and I honestly know I have not been offering as much variety as I should, but this gives me so many great ideas that I'll start implementing!!
When my kids were older I mashed together bananas, honey and rice krispie cereal and froze into ice cubes. The kids really liked them! From what I remember babies under 1 yr old can't have honey yet. Maybe a person can substitue some other natural sweetener or can just omit the honey. :)
Wish this video was around when my twins were starting to ween… (they’re 3 now) but what great variety n love how u cut the fruit n veg.. not as worrisome … love ur videos ❤🎉
Hi Meghan! I watched your videos to help with my period cramps before I even considered having a baby. Then I got some help from your channel for healthy meal ideas when I was pregnant. Now it’s awesome to get tips from you as my baby is the same age! I was so excited to see this video. I do feel a bit behind seeing that she can hold the spoon herself and it goes straight to her mouth. Did she figure it out on her own? My baby girl immediately flings it across the room. Very frustrating lol.
Soooooo inspiring, thank you! Just curious, how early did you introduce allergens as it seems like Sadie has had lots of them already. And what symptoms did she have for you to know she has a peanut and allergies? Thank you :)
Hi Meghan thank you so much for sharing this video! Did you start her off on the blw and purée mix? I’m just wondering what your process was to get her to where she is at now eating wise 🙂
We did a lot more purees early on, with a little bit of BLW. It took time to get more comfortable with blw as it can be a little nerve-wracking at first!
Hi! My LG is also 8 months old. I want to try LED weaning with her but I notice she takes really big chunks and I’m worried about her choking. She also has her 2 bottom teeth
I get so scared when my baby starts to seem to choke, that's why I'm scared to start BLW since my eldest. With my 3rd kid, I'm trying to start BLW, I'm still a bit scared but I'm just doing it real simple.
Thanks so much for this video, I always find weaning foods inspo useful! I notice that you serve your dinner at the same time as Sadie’s - how do you manage to get the dinner all done and ready to go in time for an early baby’s dinner? And does that mean you are eating earlier so that you can eat together? I have never been able to figure out how to get dinner done in time for my daughter’s dinnertime (5pm) so that we can eat at the same time
Hey there! Are you doing an early dinner for baby because their bedtime is early? Sadie doesn't go to bed until after 8pm (sometimes even 9ish!) so we tend to have ample time in the evening for a typical 6pm or even 7pm dinner. If she had a much earlier bedtime then I'd probably just feed her something separately before my husband and I eat.
Ah that makes sense! Yes we have an earlier bedtime, around 6:30, so her dinner does have to be earlier. I do give her something separate but have read that the best thing to do for food acceptance is eat together so i’m trying to figure out how to do that :)
I offer finger food like tofu and celery but my 9 month old wont being anything to her mouth, straight to the floor. I cant imagine her even munching on anything. Does your baby actual eat the finger food or is most of it thrown out? Ive been trying for 3 months daily and no progress. But she eats purees. Also what is the spoon your using?
How did you teach the word “spoon”?? She know it and she put it down on the table. Wow. Also how did you teach how to use spoon? I have a 8month baby but he plays with it.
Frozen waffles 🧇 let baby chew on them I’ve seen mom take the thing u put food in it and freeze it you can try that bm or baby yogurt I use a wet wash cloth freeze it and let me son have that also you can rub their gum with a baby tooth brush
My son has turned 8 months old and I was thinking to doing baby led weaning but I m kind of afraid of him choking on the food. I have tried giving him little tiny pieces of soft bread and some ragi wheat flour teething biscuits that I made at home but sometimes he gags/chokes while eating it. So just afraid of that. Can you please tell me how and where to start with baby led weaning. Also what to expect what is ok or not ok while doing it.
I haven't read any books actually but I do use the Solid Starts app quite a bit and have found it helpful! Also Ashley from Hapa Family on RUclips has some great videos on the subject as well.
Great job, but i feel like there is really no time left to actually enjoy with the baby, big part of the day is in that high chair eating and snacking, and cooking for mamma.
You’re doing such an amazing job. I was really impressed with the variety you offer and Sadie seems to be a bit of a foodie already. Love it!
She's definitely a little foodie! (so far anyway haha)

by the way, I love how you hand her the spoon. She is a neat eater!! You are blessed.
She's left handed! Sadie is a beautiful girl, Meghan. Thank you for sharing her and so many great ideas with us.
Thanks Meghan! My baby, who's a month younger than Sadie, will absolutely love this.
Meghan, I'm so happy you're back often these days.❤. Sadie's growing so well & healthy. Your videos are so lovely. Don't stay away too long😊

Loved this video! I have a 9 month old and I always have a hard time figuring out what to give him. Your little girl is so cute!
So inspirational and refreshing. Can't wait until my baby starts eating solids to make these cute healthy things for him!
Thanks for making this video! I am 38 weeks pregnant and I'm taking notes on what to feed my baby later on 😁❤😊

I know exactly what you mean! BLW can feel very nerve wracking. I liked incorporating purees too because it can be easier in many ways.

Immediately liked and subscribed! My daughter is 8 months and allergic to nuts, eggs, and dairy!

Wow Meaghan your little girl is growing up fast. So adorable ❤
Great job Meghan. Sadie is one lucky little girl💖
Thanks for linking the Samoan chicken recipe. I’m going to try it !
Thank you!! So much good inspiration

Amazing to watch this!!!

Could you please let me know where to buy ancient grain baby cereal?

Honestly we just gave the kids what we were eating in smaller bites, but also gave them easy to eat pouches too sometimes.
Thank you, dear! ♡

Impressive!! May I ask how do you offer granola please

Any tips for teething? Do you do any medicines? I know doctors don’t recommend the teething gels anymore.

How do you make your kale salad please
Hey Meghan! Thank you so much for sharing this video ❤ It is very very helpful and inspirational! 😊

Aren't whole blueberries a chocking hazard for an 8 months old?
my 9 month baby doesn’t know how to chew how do I teach him?
What books helped you the most for baby led weaning?
I haven't read any books actually but I do use the Solid Starts app quite a bit and have found it helpful! Also Ashley from Hapa Family on RUclips has some great videos on the subject as well.
Does she really eat the flank steak?
When she was this age she kinda sucked/gnawed on it, but she lovedddd it!
Great job, but i feel like there is really no time left to actually enjoy with the baby, big part of the day is in that high chair eating and snacking, and cooking for mamma.
Does not she chock?
