Also I can't believe bretonnia won! I wasn't really watching more just listening while I painted and then when I heard you got that six I was like WHAT! and looked up. Wild times. I have both armies so I'm pretty neutral on who was gonna win but its cool to see the exiles list do well :D also good on you Ian for not going max screams. I feel like 2 screams is probably the limit before it gets into being a power gamer territory but you didnt take any so props to you.
Zombie dragons are behemoths, so they do get thunderstomp, which means the baron would've failed his save on his last wound. Would've been decisive when those generals were duking it out. I enjoyed watching the batrep, thanks for uploading
Have you both agreed not to use the Stepping Foward rule? (p102) In each combat, it looks like the whole front rank is able to attack even though some of them are stepping forward from the back rank.
Glad you enjoyed it mate! Theyre such a fun army to play I find, especially with the options other than knights being more worthwhile now (so grater range to play different armies)
Nice video. Why does the Pillar of Fire template pass through the unit (like a fanatic) rather than just loiter on top of it? I tried to find a relevant rule but couldn't see anything
Honestly I’ve not found them entering my list for worthwhile reasons, the only reason I’ve had them in is to free up deployment zone space honestly, which then gets them removed as soon as points are tight
@@BearfootMiniatures I'm wondering if they would be worth it to deploy by enemy cannons and hit the crews with arrows? My buddy plays dwarves and loves gun lines.
Oops, noted! Seems to be some weird (in that case) drawbacks to some of the virtues tbh (I mean hardly a game changer to have it allowed vs some equivalent combat res buffs) but oh well, onwards to a different virtue!
@@sevlow4048 Hoping to get on again soon. Got some dwarves buring a hole in my pocket, and some empire that need attention and there's nothing like a deadline for motivation.
Very sporting to bring no screams. Nice guy.
100% classy fella is ian!
For the Lady!
Thanks you for posting. I love to watch these battle reports.
Glad you enjoyed it mate! more to come 100% (got Wood elves part 2 sat in the early release content atm so thatll be coming down the line soon!)
Learning a lot from these enjoyable Bat reps, many thanks.
Whoa! That vampire riding non-dragon dragon looks great!
Big thanks for the detailed report and explaining lots of nuances! As a novice VC player in ToW it is of great help. Vampire for the win! :D
Thanks for watching mate! Glad you enjoyed it’s
Those vargheists look sick!

Hes a classy guy is ian, and glad we could pull off a surprise ending that came across well!
Can't Bretonnia easily overrun screens anyway? Dunno what that issue would be
Sweet, needed something to watch.. :)

I’ve just told Iain! Morale victory to him!
Good spot!
Invocation can only heal 1 wound on Vargheists (monstrous inf.) and Vargheists do not have swiftstride, just for future reference
Insert mind blown gif! Will note for next time 100%!
It heals wounds equal to your wizardry level
@@BearfootMiniatures also with the failed charge should they have moved just the roll of the charge dice, not also their move?
Great stuff
I was literally just theory crafting bretonnia exiles and if they are worth bringing this was brilliantly timed
Theyre a super fun variant to play, allowing the surprise flee cos your not truly honourable is such a head scratcher for your opponents, very fun!

Errr we didn’t play that the already dead models attacked but removed from the back if that’s what you mean!
More old world please
Also what minis are your foot knights?
Bretonnia showing why they deserved to be revived! Finely done!

Don’t the Vargheists go the highest charge dice roll forward and not the full move on a failed charge?
Fleeing as a charge reaction means the charge isn't a failed charge so the units moves full distance rolled.

Good to know!

I believe it’s in the magical vortex rules at the start of the magic bit (before movement etc)
@@BearfootMiniatures thanks, I found the reference and you are quite right. That does make managing the RIP vortexes a lot easier.
Anyone know what the mounted vampire count model is?
Abyssal Terror
Ionus Cryptborn from the Stormcast range for the "dragon".
Vampire is a print from somewhere I can't remember.
Anyone running squires? If so how do they do as scouts?

what model is the dragon and vampire?
Hey mate! Its "IONUS CRYPTBORN, WARDEN OF LOST SOULS" from the Stormcast range
Your BSB cant join units when you take the virtue that you did

We need more ian
Ill let him know to try and twist his arm into playing more!
