For people who haven't seen updates for Ninjala; The release has been moved back to June 24th due to covid-19 and the microtransactions are STRICTLY for cosmetic. No pay-to-win or pay-to-unlock. Both of these points have been covered directly by two of the top heads in GungHo productions on the PlayNinjala youtube channel.
I would actually like to see a Splatoon and Ninjala cross over. Like imagine this, Rebrecca and the crew accidentally make a time machine. Or they run so fast they skip years upon years into the future. Discovering Inkopolis, it could a dlc or maybe even a limited time story mode that unlocks special weapons only you can get in completing it.
Just putting it out there that from my experience with Gungho's biggest game PAD, I was able to build a pretty solid team for absolutely nothing. They constantly give the in game currency out. Not enough to break the game, but enough to where paying isn't encouraged.
In dutch there is this saying, “Beter goed gejat dan slecht bedacht” which translates to “It’s better to steal something good than to think of something bad”. I think this applies really well here 😂
I completely agree with the free to play thing. When I saw how they were advertising it I was like “so where’s the money grab” somewhere there’s gonna be a catch and I hope it doesn’t ruin the game.
I'm actually very hyped for Ninjala! It gives off Splatoon vibes like most people say and I can see what they mean. But overall it looks like a very fun game to play and without the Nintendo Online service!
Ninjala for me feels like a meele version of Splatoon. While in Splatoon we mostly stay on range to not get splat - in Ninjala we kinda have to become active in combat.

The only complaint I have is how the fighting seems slow, gang up tactics might be the best way to win & how the customisation seems to be : outfit + hat + weapons instead of something like shoe pants shirt just like in splatoon, I wonder if the costumes will have built in stats or everyone is equal also nice video
I love splatoon 2 and it was the reason I got the Nintendo switch but damn there where some things I didn’t like much about splatoon like the character costumization options (The design of the characters are good I just like a bigger a spectrum of outfits that I like and I want to get some really cool looking gear without having to buy a splatoon model)Another thing related to costumization I don’t like is the hair options and the way that you only have 4 or 5 options the same with the trouser/pants options are also very low and I would prefer them adding a shop where you can buy a large selection of different trousers like the other shops, as Someone who really loves character costumization this bumped me out it felt like everyone looked the same and I felt a bit bland .But still the gameplay is very fun and competitive, I don’t have much of a option on online Nintendo communication on splatoon so I don’t know what to say about that.Sorry for the long rant, anyway Im exited for this game to come out I will check it out
