I love Saffa’s but I cannot help myself when I start spitting verbal pyrotechnics in South African awww I’m telling you man it’s a good job it’s good ya ! Same with Ulstermen and scousers and anyone really you are all far game 😭😭😭 Manc Lad !
@GrappyFlappy its actually the best fucking accent ever, if youve ever been with a south african and heard how he talks you will realise this is priceless.
Dude, this is a comedy sketch and unfortunately, saffa's do talk like this, we just don't realised how we sound to others. Maybe if we stopped talking like bone-heads, would wouldn't get this mick taken... I'm a saffa and I think this is priceless.
IT'S......A......COMEDY......SKETCH!!!!!!!! who cares if the accent is bang on or not. and don't even consider bringing race into this, the worlds far too politically correct as it is. it's a bit of light hearted fun, from a country who's people are renowned for being able to laugh at themselves. maybe a few of the south african people on here moaning about it, could learn a thing or two from them.
Everyone who is moaning about it not being bang on, Harry Enfield even admits he isn't a very good impressionist and he just aims at trying to make the situation and the lines that he says funny - rather than accurate.
The last time I heard a fake South African accent done THAT BADLY... was the agony of listening to DiCrapio in "Blood Diamond". This oke sounded like a Soutie, who grew up in New Zealand, trying to mimic someone from the Free State.
Aussies are Poms by origin? About 25% are Poms. Even between 1788 and 1850 30% of incoming immigrants (free and convict) were Irish, and the remaining 'English' were made up of large numbers of Welsh and Scots too. (My forebear was a convict transported in 1805 - he was born in Anglesey Wales, just as an example. The rest of my forebears are Irish, German and Swedish) So, no, were are not 'Poms' by origin anymore than Americans are Poms by origin. Pom = English only by the way.
Well this is my 2 cents : This guy needs to work on his accent . It was all over the place , u can hear him trying to recover as he steps out of the accent quite a few times. The South African accent is prob one of the most difficult accents to 'put on' . There is no point trying if u gnna be like this guy. South African humor is about mostly about stereotypes(race ,equality ect) So we know where we coming friom. anywho ,(for the South Africans) Hierdie ou is n poes. Fan foken tasties...
I am South African and this IS funny.

Sad but true. It's a culture thing. Londoners are don't really suffer fools & irony can be hard to get for some people.

But is it not very accurate?
Doesn´t sound like a south african.
It does to the British audience it was broadcast to.
This is racist and offensive.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Get a sense of humour ffs 🤦🏽♂️.
That's why I like it
You'd probably find a packet of biscuits offensive if it suited you.
