Thanx! Been looking everywhere for the activation of an exr seq. Videofile, pretty strait forward but image seq, not so much, so thank you for taking the time to make this 🙂
What about using an image sequence as a texture sample for vfx, like an explosion for example. I know the recommended method is the use a flipbook, but let's say I want to use an images sequence instead. is that possible to set up?
hey! seperate topic but figured you might be person to ask: have you ever accessed the media capture window in blue prints to do things like change active camera, start/stop media capture, etc? i know there are nodes for him but no idea how to set them up!
Actually, there's a great reference/example for this sort of thing in the Virtual Studio sample that is free on Marketplace and in the Sample page of the Epic Launcher. Once you've installed the sample project, search the level outliner for the word "Switcher" which will isolate the "CameraSwitcher" blueprint actor in the default "TrackerlessStudio". Open that up in the blueprint editor and you'll find blueprints for starting/stopping media capture, switching cameras, etc. Hope this helps. Have fun.
Thank you so much! I have a question if you're still checking comments. I followed these steps and it works. However, when I close UE5 and reopen and/or don't use my computer for a few days, the video is just a black box and I have to redo all the steps. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
I'm having a wired issue with this method. I have a simple white circle on a black bg moving left to right in the image sequence which i want to put on the plane. the image seq is 24 fps. But when i'm rendering the card with antialiasing on in movie render que there is this ghosting every 4th frame. i'm rendering the movie render que in 24fps as well. Anyone know how to fix it. tried changing fps, didn't fixed, if i change fps either the ghosting is in all frame or in every 4th or 8th frame.
Hi thanks for this great Tutorial, i have on Question, how can i tell Unreal to keep the first Frame of the Movie or Sequenze when i have moved the Video in the Timeline to lets say Frame 100 but the First frame should shown as a still frame from 0-99 and than starts with the Movie ? thanks in advance
Some Feedback: Please just talk faster OR less and please not so many deadzones where we're just waiting for you to make a simple action. Other than that thank you for the tutorial.

I like to make my planes 1920 wide and 1080 high, lock the scale and reduce from there
