hey man just to let you know they have added a bunch of new POI that navezgane doesn't have, one of the bigger RWG maps might be better for coming back ! just a thought at they rwg are more dense when it comes to citys and feel more immersive !

Awesome!!! I can't wait to buy this game, day one buy for me. I already have my $50 Xbox card ready to go. As soon as the game goes live on the Microsoft Store where you're able to purchase it, I'm adding the money to my account and buying it. I normally don't ever buy games when they first come out, but 7 Days To Die is my favorite game ever made. These pre-gen maps look awesome, I didn't think they were going to add that many so I'm super impressed. I thought the maps would be Navezgane and like 2 or 3 pre-gen maps, but when you mentioned that there's going to be a total of 16 maps to choose from, it got me even more excited now. Thanks for the info, Skippy. With that said, I can't freaking wait, only 4 more days to go...whoop whoop! :)
That was a very brief, but informative video Skippy. Just the layouts alone are great to see. I will probably start on a wasteland center, 6k map, take in all the improvements they've made to console, maybe a slower play through at first. When cross platform and hopefully future raiders come in the larger maps would be great!

Something about the linear maps I immediately hate. Just dont feel right if that makes sense. But I think part of my excitement is indeed having such larger maps. Not only for exploration sake, and of course that sweet sweet loot, but after 7 years and 6-7k hours bejng limited to a circular 4k map design, its going to feel like I can stretch my legs out. I think my biggest curiousity is what all we can actually craft/buy in terms of furniture/objects. I love building, and I really, really want to be able to put all those awesome appliances and whatnot in my base. I Need microwaves and coffee pots, to drink machines and paintings 🤣 Thanks for the heads up on maps. Dont think I want wasteland in the center personally, feels like that ruins the map some if living in nearby biomes. Then again, all my knowledge is basically limited to console unfortunately.
I haven't been in navezgane since alpha 15/16 era. Lot of changes I guess. No desert in the top left, town is way smaller to. Traders moved around, etc. May have to check it out agajn.

I’m playing on pc currently. I usually play single player and am not a fan of traveling 3-4km for each trader or over 1km for each quest. So I decided to try out one of the 4k maps. They actually aren’t bad for single player. For multiplayer do 8k or 10k.
@@Skippy0330 Yeah when I’m playing solo half the map on an 8k or 10k map doesn’t even get touched. It’s all preference though for sure. I’m finding more than enough to do on a 4k or 6k solo.
Yeah, I'm probably going to go with a 4km map myself. The Night City map in Cyberpunk 2077 is about a 4km map and it's actually pretty huge lol. Also, if you pick a 10km in singleplayer, isn't there a chance that a quest or something can start thousands of km away? I'm not sure if that's the case in 7DTD, but it would suck to have to travel 6 or 7km away for something when it could of been 2 or 3km on a much smaller map. Is that how it works? Let me know if I'm right or wrong, I honestly don't know since I've only ever played the old console version.
@@rcyoung86 On RWG the locations are random which console will get later this year. On these pregens though they already have the spawn locations and traders in their set places. The traders regardless are each set to their own biomes. So the game kind of makes you travel to each biome after completing a tier of quests if you want to progress. When I was playing on an 8k RWG I was in the burnt forest and the next trader in the desert was 5.4km away lol. I’m playing on the 4k3 map which doesn’t have the biome in the middle. The cities are more than big enough I’m finding. Tons of POIS. Plus I don’t have to travel super far. In my opinion 4k or 6k is good enough for solo.

Even though I'm really excited for the new console version, I still don't know how I feel yet about almost every POI being a dungeon, traders being locked to a specific biome, etc. I guess I'll see for myself and if my opinions change once the game releases next week after I buy it. Also, is there a way to set the game to where you can make the game not extremely difficult and where you can still have horde nights that is fun but nothing to fret? I just want to play the new version of the game at slow pace to learn everything, it seems like there's so many new systems to learn, etc I just don't want to feel extremely overwhelm to the point where it feels like you got no time to enjoy the game because you're constantly having to kill enemies non-stop just to get to loot. Another reason I'm worried about exploring a bit, I feel like the freedom and open sandbox feel of the game that it once had in early alphas isn't like it used to be, especially where most POI's now feels it's trying to make the player go through buildings in a particular way like a dungeon crawler. I don't mind there being dungeon like buildings here and there, but I'm just hoping that it's not like that for 90% if the buildings you go into, but I have a feeling that most are that now. Anyway, I'm not hating on the game, it's one of my favs, but from watching videos of people playing, it seems less sandbox'ish than how it was a few Alphas back ago. Maybe I'm just worried for nothing, Idk? In your opinion, do you like some of the new changes that they made to the game such as some of the things I mentioned, or did you like it more back when you were able to explore and loot anywhere freely as you pleased? Now it seems like, "oh you don't want to go in that building yet, you're not strong enough yet" type of deal. i miss the 7 days to die when i had it on the ps4 lol, times have changed when i moved to pc but i still would like to play this on console anyways. i think i spent nearly 1k hrs on console. so much fun. glad everyone in a few days are getting the 1.0 version.
I needed to pop in and say that after the last update they did indeed fix the controller and give us back our cursor like you thought they did. I'm a happy girl!
I've never played the game. I bought it on steam while it's still at the early access price but am waiting for 1.0 to give it a go. Does this mean I can play with controller but still use my mouse to do certain things like manage inventory or just things that are much easier with a mouse?
@@FosterFreeze I don't know how it will work for console but you can use both for the game on staem. I use my mouse and keyboard to label crates, input numbers of items to make and a few other small things and it works fine. You might not need to use the mouse for anything inventory now because the cursor is back and works like the mose cursor in your inventory.

To me it's the "nicest" biome, so I'll put a big hordbase in this biome and come back to it every blood moon. The following might be a noob-question, but with clothing gone, how will heat and cold work in their respective biomes? Is there armor for that too or "just" eating and drinking habbits?
@@Skippy0330 will be nice to have it… I know my ps5 can run the 10k, because I did a huge update SSD Ram of 4TG and a OP HeatSink, mans he runs nice… But, the big buildings it’s a problem when is full of zombies like infected missions… No matter what you have in your console, will be a big problem in such a huge map… Personally I will start at 6k map and see how runs and wait for the bugs updates and all changes, then go to 8k and when the game it’s fully “gold” I will jump into a 10k… Better safe than sorry… 😎
I think you're talking about horde night? If so, it's because on horde night, the bag drop percentage goes way up. Incentive to kill as many as possible!
Is there a big city in the forest biome on any of the maps. Or a city with a stripclub or Prison or something like that. The earlier versions got really nice maps for that
They're not that big in game. With a food item to help out with stamina, you can run on foot to each biome. Easier with bike, even easier with mini-bike, piece of cake with motorcycle, [I never use 4x4, but easy], Gyro straight path to each biome.
@Skippy0330 that's good then, had a fear fun pimps would do static loot, so everytime you made a new map, the loot in each building was the same 🤣, since it's not technically a random gen map

6k or 8K for sure. If you want to make this your world you play on forever. Do an 8K and play how you like. 6k is smaller so it’s nice to be able to get between places quicker. My buddy’s and I built on a 08K1 server in the Forrest. I just got a mini bike and it’s so rewarding not having to walk. we also liked 08K2 Hope this helps!
@@Corneratwar Thanks!! I decided to go with Pregen08k1, I like that the Pine Forest is center, desert is south and the snow biome is west/north. Also, I was watching a video of someone breaking down all of the POIs for each Pregen map on PC, and the Pregen08k1 has the most stores and shops in the Pine Forest than all of the other Pregen maps which can be very helpful for the early and mid game. It also has a crap ton of Tier 5 POIs too for the late game.
@@Corneratwar No problem my dude, Everything comes full circle. With that said, someone recently taught me that in their video and then I helped others like yourself. I was stuck on which Pregen map to play for the longest time, but I think 08k1 is the best Pregen map for Console, it has a crap ton of Traders, the most Towns, Shops, etc in the Pine Forest biome than all of the other Pregen maps on Console. It also has a good amount of Crack-A-Book stores too. And most importantly, it has a crap ton of Tier 5 POIs for the end game which is where all the high-end loot is. And to make a long story short, when the 1.0 Console Edition first came out on July 25th, I started off in Navezgane. It was nice seeing all of the new changes made over the last few years. Anyway, I got to about Day 63 and started to get bored of the map because even though it has changed a lot, it's still very familiar as the layout is still the same. A few days ago I started a new game on the Pregen06k1 map, but I wasn't feeling that map for some reason...Idk? Then as of yesterday, after watching that video I started a new game on the Pregen08k1 map and I absolutely love it, I'm definitely going to turn this playthrough into a long-term/forever save since the map is HUGE and you'll always have new things to explore, discover, loot, etc so I'm definitely looking forward to reaching Level 300 for my character on this map in the future.

Personally I hate going to maps and just seen repeated buildings ect and that’s why I like Nav. But that was like years ago.

It's not really a website, just a form someone made. Unfortunately I can't make a link RUclips will shadowban even me for it lol. You do need the files from the world to see it though, so you can't use it on console. I will however make a video on it eventually.

I'm trying to decide which Pregen map to choose, does anyone have any recommendations on which Pregen map you would recommend playing on?
6k or 8K for sure.
If you want to make this your world you play on forever. Do an 8K and play how you like.
6k is smaller so it’s nice to be able to get between places quicker.
My buddy’s and I built on a 08K1 server in the Forrest. I just got a mini bike and it’s so rewarding not having to walk. we also liked 08K2

@@Corneratwar Thanks!! I decided to go with Pregen08k1, I like that the Pine Forest is center, desert is south and the snow biome is west/north. Also, I was watching a video of someone breaking down all of the POIs for each Pregen map on PC, and the Pregen08k1 has the most stores and shops in the Pine Forest than all of the other Pregen maps which can be very helpful for the early and mid game. It also has a crap ton of Tier 5 POIs too for the late game.

@@Corneratwar No problem my dude, Everything comes full circle. With that said, someone recently taught me that in their video and then I helped others like yourself. I was stuck on which Pregen map to play for the longest time, but I think 08k1 is the best Pregen map for Console, it has a crap ton of Traders, the most Towns, Shops, etc in the Pine Forest biome than all of the other Pregen maps on Console. It also has a good amount of Crack-A-Book stores too. And most importantly, it has a crap ton of Tier 5 POIs for the end game which is where all the high-end loot is. And to make a long story short, when the 1.0 Console Edition first came out on July 25th, I started off in Navezgane. It was nice seeing all of the new changes made over the last few years. Anyway, I got to about Day 63 and started to get bored of the map because even though it has changed a lot, it's still very familiar as the layout is still the same. A few days ago I started a new game on the Pregen06k1 map, but I wasn't feeling that map for some reason...Idk? Then as of yesterday, after watching that video I started a new game on the Pregen08k1 map and I absolutely love it, I'm definitely going to turn this playthrough into a long-term/forever save since the map is HUGE and you'll always have new things to explore, discover, loot, etc so I'm definitely looking forward to reaching Level 300 for my character on this map in the future.
