He also broke 60 years of steady immigration when he flooded us with the Baltic states crippling the construction industry for natives (wages haven’t changed much in 25 years now as a result).
All these things he built he did through PFI contracts he even sold HMRC (100 Parliament street) to Mapley group. A private equity firm based in Guernsey. Acknowledged that he was basically privatising infrastructure to firms that avoid tax saying “it still represents good value to the tax payer”.
Those same contracts are now crippling the country leaving councils like Leeds bankrupt.
