- NASCAR's Xfinity Series race at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana was suspended on Saturday and postponed to Sunday. Cole Custer finished first in the first and second stage, but placed 27th on the final lap. John H. Nemechek of Joe Gibbs Racing won the final lap followed by Sam Mayer in second and Justin Allgaier in third. Nemechek earned his third career Xfinity Series victory and won the final race at Auto Club Speedway.

This is what is wrong with Fox. They cut away from that 3-wide with Sam Mayer in the middle, and they cut away to see an uncontested stage winner roll over the line…then they didn’t even go back to it.

Agreed! However, Creed shouldn't have been in that situation to start with, that was a very foolish block attempt that should have never been thrown. Hellava save tho 👍
Sammy Smith's save wasn't too shabby and could have easily caused a massive pile up.
This is the LAST EVER race at Auto Club.
I like how Fox interrupts commercials to show a few laps of the race.
I feel kinda bad for Custer, he just got some bad luck (or strategy).
However, good days for other drivers who had a bad Daytona race like:

What I saw was Custer show why Riley does not deserve shr ford ride,
Just like Preece showing last year why Riley does not deserve that ride
You do realize we're going to have to deal with Riley getting a full-time cup series ride right. The only reason why he has the ride in the first place because of his rich daddy that has a stake in SHR

No. Construction is going to take over a year, so no 2024 date. Auto Club will return 2025.

Cup was packed to the brim... We had a great time at Auto club
NASCAR is too greedy, not smart enough to allow Cup attendees to stay & watch the Xfinity race! If they had allowed it, at least the grandstands would have looked great on TV & their sport would have looked strong 🤷🏻♂️
@@Slinger43 you guys were obviously not at the track... Nobody tried kicking us out... I had 10 people with me for cup but it was just to cold to stay the whole night for most of them .. i can't blame them and I'm grateful that we weren't kicked out.. my lady and i stayed till the Xfinity checkered flag but we dang near froze solid..

Why couldn't they just take some of the infield and build a half mile track and race on both maybe on the same weekend like they tried with pocono
Because that doesn't work for what nascar wanted to do And that was sell 80% of the land because of the land values

yo it was honestly a good race from a not so big fan, i like when the watermelon farmer wins, but busch shows skill boi, why get rid of this track, it looks like one of the very very few that actually has more than one lane that works, and oval racing is usually so boring to watch, get rid of stages btw, and race 99 percent more road and street circuits
99% more, huh? So completely change to sports car racing or will you allow 1 oval track to be on the schedule? LOL!

It was freezing out there. You could stay for both races, but most people just yeeted out after the Cup race.
