It makes me so happy Chad that you are not afraid to do something different. Sometimes we do things by the trial and error system. It is Chads vision and car and it will look great! I was hoping it would be as close to factory size and shape as possible. That way someone might do a double take and think I didn't know Ford made a 58 T Bird with port holes.
Definitely an improvement on the back window. It feels more balanced now and the overhang at the top of the roof/window evens out the bottom. Good work!!!

The new back window never looked right as it was too narrow. Looks sooooo much better now. I sincerely hope the T Bird gets put on the road. Modified and rare cars always look better driving on the road because when you spot it, you try to take in as much detail as you can before it drives away. Keep up the fine work, Chad and Jolene!

The change of the back window has given the car the proportion it needed. Well done in rectifying the issue. Great job Chaddy. Great camera work Joel's 👏
It looks great with the porthole windows installed but I was thinking that the back window was too short on height based on where the porthole window was setting . I think it will look great with some more modifications . Good Call !

Much better. The symmetry of the roof thickness matches the lower window thickness and brings it to a much more factory look. Kudos for doing the hard thing and cutting up your own work!!

Hi guys, i really enjoy following the progress of your creations, so thanks for sharing! Chad & Jolene how are you today? I did not want to say anything about the back window yesterday especially with Chad fighting things but, the back window looks much better now that it is the same height as the port holes. Sometimes you have to go backwards to go forwards even though most of us do not like to have to do it. Have a good evening, be back tomorrow.
Chad, I love the fact that you change things as you go and if it doesn’t work out you’ll change it till it does work. You have a great work ethic. Thanks Jolene for the video.
Much better Chad. As I said awhile ago it's more balanced now. Even without the port hole windows it still looked out of balance. Nice change. Excellent job.
looks like you are going to make it bigger time will tell but I think It would look alot better if it was bigger. still loving the port holes they look just right on this car
So glad you did the rear window. It hurt the back of my eyeballs, but now the proportions look great. My eyeballs are smiling again. Now then, not that you're not a handsome devil, but we really need more Jolene in front of the camera.😊
Chad you made the right choice to make the rear window opening bigger smart move. Just one question for you would it had been easier to put the window that you took out back in. Jolene I hope to see you in more videos soon helping Chad out and I want to say hi to you and wish you and Chad a blessed evening and night. God bless
Isn't it odd that for around 2 weeks, a bunch of viewers who are Not "Professional Car Builders" have been saying the rear window was too small and looked like poop. Now all of the sudden Chad agrees!
I really like all the mods except for the back window . I think it would look steller with a long oval back window , then the look would flow together . But that's only my opinion. Hats off to the work you've accomplished Chad and Jolene . Out standing work !
I always thought the port hole windows would look better smaller than you went with. I loved that back window, wish you would've modified the port windows to line up better instead of the rear window
Whenever I saw the small window installed, i was disappointed. Fitting the original window would have been a lot more work, so I completely understand the choice that was made. When the small window was fitted, I immediately saw custom rear window louvers of incremental lengths, that matched the shape of the trunk, cascading down onto the back deck. Now, with the portholes and the rear window made larger, THIS looks right. I appreciate the changing of ideas, despite the time that's been put into it. If it doesn't feel right, forcing it to work will only make it worse.
I'm glad, I didn't think it quite looked right, but Chad has explained enough times it isn't finished yet and THAT'S when it should be assessed as far as ascetics go.

Well done son ! Glad you came to your senses and got the proportions on the rear window sorted out. Its the difference between cool or ugly and you cut out the ugly good job all that matters is your finished artwork not your process.!
If you put the pinch weld on the window lip it will still look to big. Another 1/2" would look more fitting to the rest of the window. Not trying to be negative. Just my opinion. Been watching cars built since the 50s. Love your work. Now that your welding the pinch well on it looks better
Hello Chad. I'm glad you're changing the window, In my opinion it looked much better when it was larger. But that's just my opinion. Regardless of what, or how you do it ......I'm very impressed with your work !
Dear Chad; with the utmost respect I will share a thought on your T Bird creation. In my opinion the back of the car is so long (trunk area) it makes the car look out proportion & if that's what your looking for, by all means keep it that way. But you may consider taking that long trunk and make it into the first 1958 pick up. The 1rst T bird Ranchero. just a thought, good luck.
Yes, I like it much better. This way all the tops of the windows match. Improves the line of the car much better. This is where Chad shows his genius at custom alterations.
I am very happy you are modifying the rear window, the '58 T-bird has the ogglies roof line from Ford but with the port holes looks better, one idea for the rear window is a full concave glass like the one in the 1969 Chevy Impala Coupe.
The car is starting to look amazing. Great work Chad. The rear window would look good with all 4 corners rounded. It would match all of the round accents and curves of the car ( headlights, tailights and those awesome port windows you fabricated).
Looks great little more rear look side windows look great now with more opening . Working at the summer home when day ends watch the work on your car fills in the evening. Have a good one .
I like the bigger back window opening. It ties into the port holes much nicer and helps to retain the lines of a square bird. The modifications to the roof line make it yours.
I didn't like the back window from start. Interesting that the port hole windows actully made the back window look samller. New window opening looks great. Nice build . Great videos , thanks for bringing us along.
Hi Chad and jolene I’m new to the show I’m from benoits cove Newfoundland and I love the work Chad does and you as well Chad has a wicked mind when you can look at something and make it happen that’s amazing anyway my brother lives in Chester Nova Scotia I’m going to visit him soon and was wondering could I pop by for a visit I’d love to meet Chad and you as well keep up the good work
Great decision Chad, the back window just had to be bigger for it to look right. Port holes look really good, nice work. Thanks for the daily videos, they are great entertainment. Excellent camera work too.
Nailed it Chad. Window still looks custom but has given the rear view much more air. Looking forward to seeing what you do with the butt ugly front of this 58.
Back window now looks so much better! Glad you made the change! Nice camera work Jolene!

I'm glad to see that now he's addressing the rear window. I'll wait to reserve my final judgement but I think it would've looked better if he had taken the window the complete width of the roof
Or at minimum a couple of inches wider.
I think he should leave the bottom height alone widen the window to the original width and take it up to the original height
Yeah I just said that in my comment.

Yeah, the bigger window is going to look a lot better.
WOW !!! Instant improvement the very second that window was made bigger.
Looks great little more rear look side windows look great now with more opening . Working at the summer home when day ends watch the work on your car fills in the evening. Have a good one .
Glad you figured it out Chad. I know it is re-work but I think you will be happier in the LONG RUN. Doug - Dash and Steering column Looks Great. !
Hi Chad and jolene I’m new to the show I’m from benoits cove Newfoundland and I love the work Chad does and you as well Chad has a wicked mind when you can look at something and make it happen that’s amazing anyway my brother lives in Chester Nova Scotia I’m going to visit him soon and was wondering could I pop by for a visit I’d love to meet Chad and you as well keep up the good work
I think the window looks much better now. Great job!
Great idea and the larger window makes the car...you are the man....thanks for being on utube.
