Based on other makeshift 2nd monitor screens, the DNA Duo does it the best. You get the monitor and a thoroughly designed clamp for your device, eliminating the hassle of doing it on your own. It may seem niche but it does that job better than other options. Looking forward to seeing the finished product!
I'm glad to hear others think this is a great innovative idea as much as I do. I just cannot wait to see it being enjoyed by many that want to use it for various purposes it can be used for!
You should sell the screens and also let the community make 3d print clamps based on the connection method specs. It would be neat to see what people come up with. The ultimate design would be a protective clam shell case with a screen built in. Love your design work. Keep it up!
Thank you, I've already mentioned selling the screen alone won't be something I'm going to do as this isn't going to be a 3D printed portable display in the end it'll be a professionally assembled display to attach to your device. What you see now is just 3D printed because injection molding is not cheap and I wasn't going to fork out the money to get these injected molded before seeing if anyone would be interested. The one thing I do plan however is to supply the STEP file for the adapter piece which is the little rectangular piece that the screen hinge attaches to, so that if you want to make a full sized case you could but it just won't be as sturdy and I'm also not taking responsibility if you break the screen because your 3D printed adapter broke. So I've thought of many things including this, but no way would I just sell the panel/board by itself.
Hey thanks, I'm still innovating to make sure everything is perfect before it gets sent off for an injection mold. Otherwise I love everything about the DNA Duo paired with the handful of devices been testing it with.
@@DNAMobileGaming Unless you pay $999 a month for the Switch Online Expansion Pack Expansion Pack Expansion Pack that comes with a 3DS game library with all everyone's least favorite 3DS games!

That's amazing, I'm glad to hear this as I have thought of so many options for this including even the universal fitted design. I cannot wait to see this in others hands !!
Wow im thoroughly impressed with this! This is exactly what ive been looking for!! I just want to play my old childhood games but hate the look of DS emulation on a single screen and it doesnt seem like many dual screen handhelds are being developed. I cant wait for this product to be finished.
@@DNAMobileGaming oh cool! I checked the indiegogo link but it said it on the timeline it was still in the prototype phase so I figured it was in a pre-order sort of phase when I saw the options.
You're welcome I'm glad to see the support for this as I know it has little marketing right now.. 3DS Emulation on Android with dual screen support is something I've been trying to work on behind the scenes, right now my method is buggy because I'm basically rendering the game twice so it slows down a lot. I'm sharing a sneak peek about that as a short soon. Hopefully someone will respond to me about this though because I don't know Kotlin well and have to convert the code to Java.
So this would be a major R&D effort but if you make a 6 inch compatible with slide devices like the GPD Win 4 or Ayaneo Slide I'd pay out the ass for that.
I have wanted something just like this. I use a KillSwitch case for my deck. Have you any plans to support device cases other than the universal expanding clamp.
Hey so I did think about this and the biggest part of this is that I will always innovate. My other plan is to share the step file of the piece that the screen hinge connects to so if anyone or any companies want to make an attachment for let's say the Kill Switch or Mechanism Deck Mate etc they could. It just won't be injection molded. So yes plans for other ways to attach it have been and are already thought of however it's not a right now thing.
At this time I'm focusing on the main clamp adapter designs however I do have plans for cases like this as it appears the Steam Deck has multiple types of copy cat cases that you can snap connect something to it like the Killswitch.
@@DNAMobileGaming you don't know how long i have been looking for a display like this xD yes i am supporting it already and hope it will reach your goal

I have plans in mind for those that have cases or other accessories like the DeckMate for example, for now however I'm keeping things as simple as possible but am taking note of how many ask about these sorts of options. You're number 2 to ask about that case so far as I never heard of it until the other person asked me this.

Hey thank you, there's so much more you could do with this too if you put your mind to it. i only see it as a snap on monitor that fits on top of the device, only really useful if you are doing 3ds or ds emulation, other then that there really isn't anything special about it as it's practically useless..
With the world of mobile gaming handhelds being so huge, the idea behind attaching a secondary display came to me not only because of emulation. I didn't even realize there was a dual screen option for Steam Deck. That's really cool. Good job!
There is now, as I developed and designed the DNA Duo for many reasons/purposes! Just plug it in via USB C and you're on your way to greatness!
