I am from MD and sadly my state has become too liberal. I've been looking into areas in VA to explore. I'll always be a Marylander, but the politicians here make it hard to want to stay.
Natural bridge, The Appalachian Trail, Booker T Washington birthplace, White lightning museum, and on and on and on! There is so much to do here it's unbelievable that people don't know about this place. Floydfest and the Gofest. Wine tours galore. If you like the outdoors the Roanoke area is top notch. McAfee's Knob, Tinker Cliffs, and Dragons tooth. Bike the parkway tours. This is not a city for sitting around all day. I live near the lake in Moneta. Moving here was the best decision I ever made.
Roanoke is a dream destination of mine. Another thing in Roanoke that's not on this list is the ElevaTOURS Elevator Museum. It is a museum that has tons of Elevator parts from around the world. And it is run by Andrew Reams known on RUclips as DieselDucy. He is an Elevator entusiast just like me and he lives right in Roanoke.
We are planning to visit Roanoke in October, we fly from orlando fl What is best airport near to Roanoke , if you have any places to stay for 2 adults thks for the video 🙏
I didn't finish but 57 seconds of this video before I knew it was BS Lynchburg Virginia to Roanoke Virginia is 56 Mi not one person ever in the history of Lynchburg Virginia has been able to say that they saw the Roanoke star from that far and in this video you state that it can be seen for over 60 miles BS news as always
@@MonicaGoesShow well I've live less than that far and NEVER SEEN it. They're only telling you that and stand that as a publicity stunt. Common Sense will tell you you cannot see that star 4/60 Mi when lit up on a clear night. And if you believe that then you need to double up on whatever medication no doctor has you on
@bettyharris9710 It's just as well that you didn't finish the video because common sense is not too common for you: The Mill Mountain Star of Roanoke City, Virginia faces from the south of the city towards the north-northwest of the city--and beyond visible for up to 60-plus miles depending on conditions. If you know where Lynchburg is in relation to Roanoke it is virtually due east of and slightly towards Roanoke's northeast. So, no you wouldn't be able to see a for-all-intents-and-purposes a two-dimensional neon "sign" that has a metal flat surface on the backside of the neon strips projecting their light away from Lynchburg that's again due east and any other locality/location to the south and east of it. For goodness sake think sometimes before you simply and merely jump to asinine conclusions about the honesty of a claim.
Love this! My family and I are considering moving to the area from MD. Looks amazing!
It really is! You’ll love it if you go!

😂 according to the Visit Roanoke site the star can be seen for 60 miles from the air
