I appreciate having the new models with AM4 to be a positive development Avrona. Shows that AMD stills supports their older Gen products to our current times. This refresh reminds me of the 3800XT that came out years before. Performance from these new CPU's is trivial but with an ironed out and reliable Chipset and UEFI Bios your golden. I kinda wish more manufacturer's supported their products for much greater time like AMD does with Ryzen 5000 series.
maybe they are reserving the 5950xt for later to introduce a 20 core to am4. wish full thinking of course :) However I am running the 5950x now upgraded from a 2700x almost 2 years ago. the 5900xt would have to be a good performance boost to upgrade again. I currently use for system for gaming, music production, video editing, and game development.
of course its worth it , but i wont need an upgrade off the 5600x for maybe a decade, it will do pretty much annnnnything 12th gen or Ryzen 7000, unless i ever need to upgrade to a RTX4080+, all my video Rendering takes mere seconds, and gaming is a breeze, IF i turn PRO gamer or Render Videos for a living then i might need a $2000 upgraded system but this old accountant is happy AF with Ryzen 5000 will be amazing for many years in sight. 5900XT i will check out when it gets to used market in a few years and wait till they get to my price
spending another 180 euros to upgrade from 5900x is a waste of money. I'm gonna wait for Zen 6 to upgrade to Zen 5 or even wait to upgrade to Zen 6 Ryzen 9 as a second hand $2000 budget PC user.
No reason to buy this As 5950xt is now selling for 300$ And who il the world would buy 5800xt over 5800x3d. Faster gaming performance while having the same or slightly worse workstation performance.

True, unless you do AI and heavy 3D editing, upgrading from the Ryzen 5 5600X is kind of pointless.
