I First listen - Tera mera rishta purana, Mahiya, Toh fir ao, Ya Ali on a radio Fm in 2010 when I was in 2nd class. Our school bus Driver used to listen these .. When ever I listen these songs a memory always hits me back to 2000's era 🥲 I dont listen todays songs my heart is still in 2009 - 2010 . Awarapan is an emotion which is indescribable. You can just feel it. And the songs are the 4 pillars of the movie. The way they take the movie forward plus the emotions get explained are just wow. As for Toh Phir Aao. It was initially released as an unplugged demo version in 2005 recorded at a local studio. Later the 2006 debut album of the band featured two new versions of Toh Phir Aao. One was similar in tempo to the Awarapan version. Both demo and album version had same piano chords as the regular Awarapan version. They also used the lines Tau Phir Aao Mujhko Satao...Rulao in chorus, as well as the abhi jaao part. Rest of the composition was identical to the Awarapan version with different lyrics. There was a faster rock version as well called Mujhko Satao. The album versions were produced by Zulfiqar Jabbar Khan aka Xulfi (Call/eP) of Nescafe Basement fame, who is presently producing the latest season of Coke Studio. Xulfi also originally produced the Awarapan Toh Phir Aao, but it was taken up by Pritam who made his own modifications but based it on how Xulfi had done it. Xulfi's Awarapan version was never released.

Pritam still coming hard... i got into american pop, country , rock, R&B etc around 2014-15.. before that i just knew just a few hip hop artists like uncle snoop, eminem some popstars like bieber, taylor, katy perry, shakira...could'nt quiet understand them before 2014 but enjoyed some of their songs... 2015 was a gamechanger as i found a mine of good music through western music... and started getting away from bollywood music by 2017 because of lack of innovation as just a bunch of artists were carrying it, like Arijit, Mohit Chauhan, AR,Amit Trivedi,Vishal Mishra...

Toh Phir Aao's lounge version is also thematically important for the film. Emraan's character digs up her grave to be with her again so it is a dark romantic desire and it is also a call back to Wuthering Heights's Heathcliff digging up the grave of Catherine.

Tera mera rishta when I first heard it I couldn't believe in my ears. Such s wonderful composition and use of Thai melody and Buddhist hyum. The movie was sort in Thailand so that's where Pritam got the idea but seriously the way he was able to make such a beautiful music out of different culture respect for that! Can you do a video on why Bollywood and Hollywood horror musics are so good, for eg what is commonly heard or like some of the best bgm and songs of Bollywood & Hollywood horror? Eg: Gumnaam ,Tu bhi majbur kahi, Raaz, 1920 album etc. In Hollywood Dead Silence, Heretic 2: Regan theme are just amazing! I will also like to add Shh..koi hai and Shh phri Koi hai title track even though they rn't Bollywood only bcs they are absolutely haunting.

so many memories flashed back with this video... used to enjoy music with games in a gaming cafe by my house from 2004 to 2010...was just 6 when started listening music on that gaming shop playing tekken 3 and other games.. as i grew, came PS2, xbox 360.. music kept getting better and my understanding too.. barely any other kid knew bollywood music at that age around me...

i got into american pop, country , rock, R&B etc around 2014-15.. before that i just knew just a few hip hop artists like uncle snoop, eminem some popstars like bieber, taylor, katy perry, shakira...could'nt quiet understand them before 2014 but enjoyed some of their songs... 2015 was a gamechanger as i found a mine of good music through western music... and started getting away from bollywood music by 2017 because of lack of innovation as just a bunch of artists were carrying it, like Arijit, Mohit Chauhan, AR,Amit Trivedi,Vishal Mishra...

Tera mera rishta when I first heard it I couldn't believe in my ears. Such s wonderful composition and use of Thai melody and Buddhist hyum.
The movie was sort in Thailand so that's where Pritam got the idea but seriously the way he was able to make such a beautiful music out of different culture respect for that!
