I bought an Apple Watch Ultra and have no regrets. The battery life is insane for an Apple Watch. I do adventurous things like mow the lawn, run into the office when it's pouring rain and playing with my dog. That has to count as adventurous, right?
I bought mine because of the extra battery life and honestly I wanted to feel my upgrade.. the ultra looks bigger and the screen looks nicer and it’s flat .. and now that I have it I honestly love it 100%!
I am a "casual" Apple Watch user- as in, I don't use it for rock climbing or diving. I really like the Apple Watch ultra because it acts a lot more like the larger non-smart watches I was used to using before. The bezel being larger, the protrusive guard and extra button makes it feel more like those watches than ever before. I'll probably daily drive this Apple Watch over my other larger watches because it competes in that field now. battery life and brighter screen is just a bonus too!
*Hey Drew, Apple Watch ultra user here.* When swiping from the edge you don't have to start the swip from all the way from the edge so you never have to feel the edge. the just the swipe like 1/6 the way from the edge. 👍🏽
Fair points! Great watch, but not for everyone. When I bought mine (fomo), I fully expected to send it back. However I fell in love with it! Now when I put my S7 on, I instantly miss my Ultra.

And thank goodness there’s finally a reviewer (I knew you wouldn’t disappoint me) who points out what almost nobody says: Ultra’s screen real state is barely the same than Series 7/8’s. And in some case uses, I would say, it’s even less usable due to the more rounded corners of the Ultra. I reckon you’re the most objective Apple sheep ever, dude. Keep it up! 👏🏻
I’m loving my Apple Watch Ultra! The battery is so nice, especially for someone that turns off always on among other things. The crown is a little weird how it doesn’t push in very far or rotate easily and the corners are a little sharp but overall I like the more rugged design
I turned off Always on display and blood oxygen as I can turn that on when needed. Mine can last 24 hours using only 24-25% battery. But using it on a photography trip that can last 12 hours, it uses about 30% which compared to my series 6 is massive. That is using the watch for music control, texting and other things.
I'll be keeping my 7 Stainless. First, I can only get up to $200 for it and it was $799 last year. Second, I think the ultra may be too big but maybe in a couple of years I'll go ahead and get it. I don't really like the silver color either. Great points, I don't feel so bad about not getting it lol.
I just got one for Black Friday and I must say, the “squared off” flat look aesthetic just wows me every time I look at it. It might be brutalist, but I love the design of the ultra

I have Series 4 nike + so this is going to b a big upgrade to me . My screen has some scratches. So very happy to c how great the Sapphire crystal is now more scratches on my screen or titanium. Got the trail band wanting the lightest and easiest to put on and adjust but didn’t realize it would take so long to get it
Loving my Ultra ❤ besides normal day to day stuff that it’s awesome at, I do also engage in daily mountain trail running. By far my favorite Apple Watch ever.
I think it looks great. I love bigger watches. Just ordered mine yesterday. I don't understand what is wrong with charging a watch overnight...during a regular week, I would charge my watch every night. Why not??? I charge my phone when I sleep too.
I think the Apple Watch ultra brings a lot that anyone can enjoy: the large display, the battery life, the brighter display, louder speakers, etc. However, it does seem like quite a huge watch that might be hard to dress up. It also seems like something you might not want to wear all the time due to the bulk; you might get used to that though. I will say that the display on the series 8 (and 7) looks really nice and the effect of being able to see information from the edges of the display.
The Ultra makes for a great daily wear watch, but if it’s time to dress up, hopefully everyone still has their Series 5, 6, or 7 still around somewhere to go with the suit, dress, or tux.
It depends on the event and you taste. I never wore my Series 4 to wedding or that type of thing. I have a mechanical watch for those occasions. I actually think this dresses up nicer than my aluminum series 4. Put on a stainless steel band and an elegant watch face and it looks great. I would wear it with a suit without thinking twice, but not with an orange band. I had it on at the symphony and had it in night mode. Looked great. However, I have always liked the more chunky luxury watches with stainless bands to those thinner designs with leather bands.
The Low power mode is quite stupid in my opinion because it doesn't add that much battery life but basically kills the entire point of the Apple Watch since it disables pretty much ANYTHING the Apple Watch is good at. So what's the point then.

Love my Ultra and Tesla.. Best device ever! I kept the always on display always on… lasted for 3 days of heavy use.. the maid that comes with it is amazing 😉

I love the apple watch ultra, it feels like the iphone x in terms of refreshing tech, also it looks like a hublot but you know, its actually useful, especially paired with a millanese loop.
I still have the Apple Watch 3, 44mm. From the beginning I never have issues with the battery, it last more than a day. Even today it last from 6:00am to 13:00 of the next day easily 😊

I would really like to know who uses the digital crown on an Apple Watch. I would never use that when I had my Apple Watch. I only used it when I was in a app I was using my Apple Watch and they made me use the digital crown for me. I hated the digital crown if they got rid of it, it would be way better. for me
Many people buy Rolex Submariner, Deep Sea, Daytona and never used any of the so called sports or explorer function and those watches are super chunky. I think the Ultra looks more like those chunky watches in a good way.
I suspect there will be days that you will uncover more reasons you like the Ultra, such as if you couldn't remember exactly where you parked your apple watch downtown. Or, your wife feels unsafe and activates the alarm et cetera. For me, these products are really foremost about safety and being able to communicate, get help, be the help or being able to confidently find the car after a nice dinner et cetera. The whole reason I bought the iPhone 14 for my wife was just one feature, the upcoming satellite connectivity for emergencies. We are really the first humans on this earth that have the ability for our families to communicate no matter where they are (minus being in a subterranean cave, which I hope they release in iPhone 22).
i went with the series 8 from the 7. mostly for the new sensors for better sleep tracking. i keep going back and forth on the ultra but i really dont need it. NOW, that being said, a midnight black ultra? ooooooh weee. take my money. a black ultra and minimizing the bezels are predictable moves apple has for the ultra

For me, it is just waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too big for my wrist, and probably most people who might find a use for menstrual cycle tracking would find it too big. It would probably be like if you tried to put an iPhone Mini on your wrist. That's how comically large it is for me.

I also love the big display and the longer battery life. With 12-13 hours shifts I never have to worry about it dying. To each it’s own but I absolutely love the ultra
Went from Series 4 to SS Series 8. I could’ve easily afforded the Ultra, but it is not for me. It’s not elegant and it’s not meant to be, so I passed on that. Also when it comes to battery life, I’ll just charge it. Lol. It does so much, so I don’t expect it to last a whole week. Only takes about 90 mins. I can deal.

I bought the Ultra and i’m coming from the series 4. I work in a warehouse setting and i’m in and out of trailers all day and it can get really dark in the trailers. With the series 4 it was hard to activate the flashlight with my gloves on so when I heard that I can activate a 2000 nits flashlight with the action button I was sold. I’ve had it for more than a week and it was worth every penny because of the flashlight button alone.
@@tomastsega when i’m climbing through the trailers I’m using both my hands so it’s hard to also be holding a flashlight at the same time and it’s really tight and compact so having a very durable apple watch with an easy to get to flashlight is very useful

Why would you swipe before the glass that makes no sence do you do that on your phone also? I've never run my finger into the edge of any phone or watch I start at the glass. It just weird you don't know how to operate your gadgets. Oh and it's not sharp in any way. Greatest watch I've ever owned.
The only negative I’ve noticed with mine since putting it on and never taking off except to change every 55hrs or so… Is with the apline loop (mine green). I think it needs the ability to fine tune the fit. I run on the 5th loop from the watch swear due to temp/humidity it gets looser through the work day. Other than that I love the Ultra as my first Apple Watch!
I'm sorry you have a guy trying to use it without his phone and he was pretty disappointed in the battery life. Granted he was using it without his phone so he was putting more heavy use on it than you would otherwise but he still had to charge it within his first day.
Also, the Apple Watch is much lighter than the Cybertruck and when you wear it while driving it can *easily* match *any* acceleration and top speed of any car you use it in. Joking aside, nice video, thank you for your insights 😀
Tesla is a company of tens of thousands of people, all with opinions which I'm sure don't align with Elons, but they make products people buy and love that have saved countless lives and reduced emissions. No brand is perfect but Apple is quite similar to Tesla wether you like them or not
Factories have thousands of people and yes there's some crazy jerks in any crowd. Apple has also had very similar reports and child labor lawsuits surrounding their factories. Needs to be addressed sure but it's an industry wide issue. Like I said no brand is perfect, Tesla or Apple, but Tesla has done a LOT of good for the world and I'm not gonna shy away from highlighting the good

the closer to 0 and 100% you keep your devices the shorter will be the battery health in the long run

I never sleep with Applewatch on. It interferes with my comfort. I always charge it while I sleep.

Is with the apline loop (mine green).
I think it needs the ability to fine tune the fit. I run on the 5th loop from the watch swear due to temp/humidity it gets looser through the work day.
Other than that I love the Ultra as my first Apple Watch!

I'm sorry you have a guy trying to use it without his phone and he was pretty disappointed in the battery life. Granted he was using it without his phone so he was putting more heavy use on it than you would otherwise but he still had to charge it within his first day.
Only difference is the Apple Watch ultra actually released

Also, the Apple Watch is much lighter than the Cybertruck and when you wear it while driving it can *easily* match *any* acceleration and top speed of any car you use it in.

Tesla is a company of tens of thousands of people, all with opinions which I'm sure don't align with Elons, but they make products people buy and love that have saved countless lives and reduced emissions. No brand is perfect but Apple is quite similar to Tesla wether you like them or not
Factories have thousands of people and yes there's some crazy jerks in any crowd. Apple has also had very similar reports and child labor lawsuits surrounding their factories. Needs to be addressed sure but it's an industry wide issue. Like I said no brand is perfect, Tesla or Apple, but Tesla has done a LOT of good for the world and I'm not gonna shy away from highlighting the good
