When people call Nelson Mandela a terrorist, they should consider the ANC only targeted military/political symbols of Apartheid oppression, not churches, sanatoriums or schools. Christabel "declared war on men", with members of her "Young Hot-Bloods" (to carry out attacks) being not allowed to be married or be in a relationship with a man. but the ANC co-operated with sympathetic elements of the white minority and had them within its ranks. For every Martin Luther King, there is a Nelson Mandela. For every Gandhi there is a Emmeline/Christabel Pankhurst. Peaceful and violent liberation movements. Mind you, there were relatively few deaths from suffragette action considering the quantity of the attacks: 5 killed, 24 injured. This suggests it was a sabotage campaign aiming primarily to damage property rather than to kill people.
